Seated promptly for 8pm NYE dinner. Table was in a bit cramped location, but it was a last minute reservation. Bay scallops app, halibut, swordfish and key lime dessert were all excellent.
Two minor hiccups; server splashed a bit of hot tea water on hand, and a bit of difficulty getting second glass of wine. But, particularly considering level of activity NYE , staff were attentive, and efficient. If you have not tried it, by all means, do. You will be happy that you did.
Nautilus is a longtime favorite. It has maintained a high level of food and service over the years.
I wish I could afford to eat there more often. Its priced fixed menus and early birds do help.
All in all the prices aren't eye-popping considering the quality of the food.
Great fish. I had a special... Bay scallops which were sweet and delicious. The creamed spinach and roasted vegetables are a favorite. The warmed dessert or fruit platter is also very good.
If you are looking for daily specials or fresh fish this is a great place.
It gets crowded so reservations are needed.
The wait staff is the best!
We've been going to the Nautilus Cafe for several years and find that they are consistent with their quality of food as well as the preparation. The chef Brian, also the owner, is amenable and quite gifted. The specials are also very tasty. You can't beat the quantity as well as value.
We had a great dining experience. Staff was awesome and the food was so good. It was Wednesday steak night and one person at our table ordered prime rib. First of all it was massive and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Two people had the halibut special and one the scallop special. Everyone was totally happy and satisfied. We will defiantly come back here again.
Food is consistently good and made to order. Their soups vary but not in quality. The Chef/owner Brian is very accommodating to individual tastes (no onions, more spice or less, etc.) The wait service is outstanding - they remember "regulars" and their tastes, likes, and dislikes. They are friendly but not intrusive. Their menu is varied enough to suit any taste. Prices are competitive. If parking on the street is a problem, there is valet parking. As expected, summertime is hopping. They are one of the only restaurants on the Nautical Mile open year-round.
