Broiled Seafood Platter
Shrimp, Sole, Scallops
Slow Roasted Prime Rib
e all chose from the lunch prixe fix menu. Choices were limited but interesting. We found the banana bread in the bread basket amusing, since that's usually associated with "home-cooked", but we did finish it all. My lobster bisque could have been a little thicker with more seafood. The seafood salad platter had a lot of variety and was finished with a nice vinaigrette. The shrimp scampi had large shrimp. Aside from a chattery group of women at the next table, it was an enjoyable meal.
The food was good. Our waiter, Ramon, was very nice & efficient.
Food and service was excellent. The kitchen was too slow and we waited too long for a main course
Every time we visit the Nautilus Cafe it is a pleasant experience. Food is always fresh and nicely prepared. A little pricey but it is our favorite restaurant on the nautical mile.
The baked chopped clams seemed flavorless as did the maple glazed salmon. The top layer of the salmon was nice and crispy, sweet maple flavor but the thick, meaty center was bland. The crispy broccoli was boring and bland.
Excellent service and excellent food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our table had an excellent view of the canal and the boats.
Ordered fries never got them prime rib was okay but not a the best cut of prime rib. Meh not impressed
Great food, great service
The service by Debra was outstanding and the food was excellent.
Nautilus NEVER disappoints. The service is outstanding. Table is cleared of finished dishes, water glasses are always full, special requests are always granted. And the food is CONSISTENTLY delicious. From the Caesar salad to the cod special to the broiled seafood platter to the bread basket to the coffee-always incredibly delicious. We love this place and it is one of four restaurants we make it a point to visit every time we are on Long Island! Thank you Nautilus for creating such an incredible dining experience!
Great first time and great service. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Nice meal, homemade in style. They could have paid more attention to their sides, broccoli was all stalk and undercooked, Asparagus was old and a little gray and over done. A little overpriced but I might return but order differently.
Always good, never a disappointing meal. Great service and a delicious Halibut Special.
Wow. Diner quality seafood at 4 star prices.
Bland fish specials , over cooked colorless broccoli side for $11.
$160 for 2 people / no cocktails .
Always went to the Nautilus when we lived in New York our back visiting our kids and look forward to having this adventure again Brian always does a great job
The portion size for the price was small. It was not worth it.
Delicious food, peaceful setting. Not inexpensive.
The place was beautiful, however, I did not enjoy the food at all. There was no seasoning on the food and it was just bland. I hate wasting so much money on food I did not eat.
We celebrated my husband’s retirement here last night. As always, the Nautilus staff makes us feel like family. The food is delicious, the service gracious! Shout out to Laura for making us feel so welcome last night.
Promising, but needs some improvement. Valet parking was easy and efficient. We were seated at our table immediately. But the place is too crowded -- small room, but could be organized better (especially now with Covid restrictions lifting). The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, although often distracted given how busy the place can be. The food was tasty and fresh -- high marks on that -- but a bit not he plain side. We shared a house salad and then had the seafood platter (sole, shrimp, scallops) and the salmon. Very fresh fish, but preparation is a bit unexciting. Like a steak house, you need to order sides separately -- creamed spinach was mediocre. The draft beer was excellent. And the final tab, while not crazy, was on par and high -- but the value seems good given the generally high quality of the food and drinks.
Great food and great service. We were welcomed at the door and from that point on the waiters were very attentive. We took advantage of outdoor dining on a gorgeous day and it was wonderful. Took advantage of the prefix menu and was very happy with our choice. The sea bass was excellent. My only note is that side dishes are a separate order and I think they should be included in the price.
Had a great dinner , had an amazing waiter Dominic , it was my wife’s Birthday and he was able to get her favorite dish, we will be back , if you have never been to this restaurant it’s a must. On
Great to be back! Staff and food great as usual!
Very good experience. Very good food and excellent service. Across from the water in Freeport.
Wish your menu wasn't a la carte and at least included a small side with the entree. Gets pricey for what it is, and although the food is quite good, isn't a quick "do-again" on a regular basis due to the pricing.
Food was very good & great service but prices are up substantially since Pandemic
Very fancy place that requires proper attire. The food is very much worth it and full of flavor. I ordered a surf and turf and the steak was perfectly
Marinated and was one of the most tender cuts of meat I have had in a long time. Highly recommend it for anyone trying to impress a date or just trying to enjoy a great meal with the family.
Family get together
The food is consistently delicious and the service was excellent! No complaints. Wonderful dinner.
Everything is always great! Staff is very accommodating and sweet.
Always a great meal at the Nautilus.
Excellent evening. Food was delicious snd service was superb as always.
Consistently good food and always good service. Only complaint might be the increase in prices, which was noticeable. Having just gone through the pandemic, it's understandable I guess.
The Nautilus is consistently delicious. The service is really good and friendly. They offer nice specials if you’re interested. Best dining spot on the Mile.
Best spot. All around great
Nice lunch beautifully prepared
Always an EXCEPTIONAL experience!
We have been going to the Nautilus Cafe for many years and I say without reservation, we have never been disappointed in well over 20 years of dinning there. From their fish dishes to their meats, the quality of what they put on your plate is what you expect for the price you pay. Their portions are sized in line with other restaurants that are similarly priced. Their steaks and prime rib cooked exactly the way you order them. In the past two weeks, I was there once for lunch, and had the salmon special and once again, it was excellent. Dinner for four this past week was a 10 ! Their decor is well maintained and clean. When you walk in, your properly greeted and treated. I would say without any hesitation the food is always “ Freeport’s Best “.
Food excellent, service was very good, staff was pleasant- great to see tables filled.
Mother's day menu had many good choices. Lobster bisque, halibut, steamed Lobster and asparagus were excellent. Service in the outdoor tent was terrific despite rainy weather.
