Great experience, pretty inexpensive for the quality of the food. GREAT wine selection also, and cool vibe with the guitar player

My family and I went to the Naupaka Terrace for Easter Brunch. The buffet had a lot of wonderful dishes, but not as many as I would have expected from a buffet costing $70 per person when taxes + gratuities were included. Also, the beverage service was poor. We had to flag down a server and ask for beverages other than water (which was on the table when we arrived). They did bring one refill of coffee, but none for the other included beverages. The desserts were not very good--they didn't have an authentic taste/feel. The facility is nice--if you are seated near the windows. We were back in an area far away from the windows and it was cold and not overly pleasant.

We had a wonderful dinner here for our last night on the island. We also dined at their breakfast buffet twice during the week. The food was always exceptional and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely recommend them for a nice evening or casual dining.

Great service and good food. I had shrimp scampi and it was well done. My only complaint is it took almsot 40. But other than that everything was great. Quick and friendly help

We celebrated Valentine’s Day here on a recent trip to Kauai. The restaurant was just OK. The ratio of value to food, ambiance and service was not exceptional which we would expect at this caliber of restaurant. But it’s Kauai so there’s that!
They did include a Rose which was a nice touch.

I've seen some bad reviews about service, but our service was good. I ordered the pulled pork burger and it was good; cooked perfectly to medium rare. My husband ordered swordfish and it was very overcooked, but they took it off the bill and brought him something else. Overall, there's so many good places to eat around this area, both local & upscale, I wouldn't recommend taking the chance here, especially for the higher prices they have.

We really enjoyed the setting and food. The people were great too so that end of the service was good. Our only issue was wait time for a check, pretty minor gripe though. Would definitely recommend.

One of our three entrees was good, one fair and one was sent back twice and never eaten. Server seemed unfamiliar with the menu and couldn’t pronounce many items which, neither could I but I wasn’t employed there. We noticed all of the tables except ours had bread and when we asked the server about it, he looked around and grabbed a bread basket sitting on a nearby railing. After setting it on the table, he seemed to realize what that looked like and picked it back up and said he would bring a fresh basket. We ate on a Sunday night and it seemed like all supervision must have had the night off.

everything was great but staff should really keep a eye on small ants running around on customers tables. There was ants on our table we were able to rid of them but i forgot to mention something to our server.

The hostess and waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The food was plated nicely and tasted great. My wife and I eat less than when we were young, and enjoy splitting an appetizer, main course and dessert - we didn’t do this because they have a splitting fee of six dollars. I think that fee and policy is ridiculous.

Very disappointed. They did not honor our reservation at all. We were in Kauai with a tour group, but had made earlier reservations for a private table for the sake of quiet conversation. We were denied our reservation and forced to sit with group at large banquet table in furthest corner of restaurant. Too loud, impersonal, and not what we went out of our way to make reservations for.....

Would recommend if you are on property and want convenience. Our cocktails and hula pie dessert were delicious. Our primary server was lovely and knowledgeable, and the water refills were perfectly constant but unobtrusive. The lamb burger and pork burger were both overdone for the requested temperatures, and the fish sandwich was not matched to the size of the bun so one-third of the bites were just bread.

Have dined there on many occasions, and the buffet has been inconsistent over the past several months. Maybe due to the turnover in the Executive Chef? The king and snow crab legs are the biggest draw for the seafood buffet. More snow crab legs as it has way better flavor than the king crab. Shrimp is at sometimes mushy. The prime rib is seasoned right, but need to serve some medium rare. Only medium and well done available. Very good selection for dessert...brownies are very good with the ice milk.

When I was searching for a restaurant (after a long day of travel) on our first night on Kauai. I saw that the location of this place was 3 minutes walking distance from the condo we would be staying in for the next week over Christmas. We had a drink in the lounge area after checking in. They had live holiday music. We were seated quickly at a table with a nice view of the hotels beach side grounds. Lots of flowers, palm trees and fountains. We could also see an obscured view of the coast. Our server was knowlagable about the menu and suggested a few specials they had. Two appetizer specials and two fresh catch specials. We were sold on it all. My sister ordered the surf and turf. A fillet mignon and shrimp scampi. I had the fresh catch ahi tuna. This was slightly out of comfort zone as I can't stomach canned tuna. So I had few questions for our server. I went with our server's recommendations as to it's preparation (rare) and it was served in a cream sauce with capers. Now, as to our enjoyment of the food and this visit. Well, we returned the following evening and both ordered the same entrees with a different appetizers and shared a piece of Hula pie for dessert. This will be a part of any future visits to Kauai.

We went for the king crab and prime rib buffet. The remaining buffet was lacking in food options. Food needed to be replenished and was not. Very disappointed in the dessert. It was an ice cream machine with toppings, hard chocolate chip cookies and some puddings. The prime rib was just ok, nothing to rave about. Not worth the 135 including tip that we paid.

The waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu, but unfortunately he was completely in the weeds. He did the best he could to keep up, and having been a waiter myself I can applaud his efforts. This is the only positive to the dining experience. The food was very poor. We ordered crap cakes as an appetizer, and to put it nicely they were mushy, cold, and bland. I tried the seafood chowder and it was unremarkable. I ordered a macadamia crusted Ahi and ended up getting mahi mahi instead. It was served with flavorless roasted vegetables, and cold pasty mashed potatoes. The waiter realized the mixup and offered a comped dessert and discounted the meal slightly. My wife ordered a vegetable pasta with chicken. The dish appeared as if it sat under a heat lamp for some time so the noodles were dried crusty and stuck together. The chicken added to the dish had a terrible unappealing flavor. Lastly there were fruit flies that continued to pop up, mostly an annoyance. In the end I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and wouldn’t return. It was a terrible experience, but you live and you learn. If you are staying at this hotel I would highly recommend that you head off property to dine as the island offers countless options that are unique and delicious.

The reservations was made easy online and once at the restaurant the greeters at the front was very pleasant. The waitress made sure to describe the different fish dishes and the ingredients that went into the dish and I found this very helpful. Overall the staff was attentive to our table which made my guests feel very special.

This was a very disappointing dining experience. There was a buffet offered, but we decided to order off the menu. I had crab bisque,it was very good. But things went downhill from there. I had chicken flatbread that was barely edible. And ambience? How about the pool attendants dragging a bag of dirty towels through the dining room.
