Naupaka Terrace is at the Kauai Beach Resort in Lihue on the Garden Island of Kauai. We each had delicious local fresh catch for our dinner prepared artistically beautifully. Emilio's expert service and recommendation was fantastic. We were very happy with Austins cheerful helpfulness. Thank you Chef Troy our dinner and dessert of warm lava cake completed our wonderful dinning experience. We highly recommend Naupaka Terrace for an excellent dinning experience with aloha.
It was great! Great service and good food!
Overpriced, mediocre food, but pretty location and convenient if staying at the Kaua’i Beach Resort
Love the omelet station would like to see a brunch on Sunday’s :)
The friendly service and recommendation menu was a good choice. If you stay at Aqua Kauai Beach Resort, it will be your first dinner option.
We ordered the whole snapper - fried crisy on the outside & moist on tbe inside. The Kauai shrimp was so sweet & nice presentatuion. Just wish there was somw chili pepper water. Friendly staff & great service.
We had a wonderful dinner, all in our party got the Prime Rib and Crab Buffet. There were quite a few choices for all courses and if you leave hungry it’s your own fault. Our server, Frank, was very friendly and personable. I would definitely recommend this and we will be back next time we are on the island.
This is a beautiful setting. We went here for breakfast and dinner.
The desserts, sushi, and salads were good. Prime Rib was ok, & crab legs were disappointing (I didn't think they were king crab as advertised, more like snow crab which I don't care for).
Fantastic. We went for my wife’s birthday. We sat outside and it was very nice. Food was good for a seafood buffet. Service was great.
The atmosphere is beautiful if you sit outside on one of the little patios. Arrive early and walk around this beautiful resort. The food is fresh and delicious.
From the last time we were at Naupaka Terrace the level of service seems to be not as good as it was in the past, but the food was as good.
It was our 26th anniversary, and already have been inconvenienced by a late check-in to our room, we were hoping for a good experience at dinner. We were greeted right away by the person who filled our waster glasses, and then waited 15-20 minutes for our server. I finally went to the hostess stand to inquire about the situation and when I pointed out our table they said, almost in unison "Oh, Tom". When I got there, Tom was there, talking with my husband (who later told me Tom had been in the area the whole time, bussing tables). He took our orders and the service was fine. The food was overall delicious! We shared the beet salad which was loaded with beets and had a very pleasing dressing, kalbi ribs that were outstanding with a tangy, smokey flavor and the catch of the day that, although prepared a bit on the dry side, was served with complimentary ingredients.
Staff was great and very attentive being a groups of 7 with children.
Ambiance and service were fine. Although the food presentation was ok, the quality was less than desirable. The shrimp in the Shrimp and Grits was VERY sub-par ... mushy, tasteless!!! Very disappointed! The dessert (bread pudding) was excellent...what a contrast :)
Nice assortment of food. Wait staff very attentive. Happy with the experience
I had the fish taco. The fish was very dry. My husband had the fish dinner. His fish was dry as well.
Had a very nice meal and the service was attentive and very accommodating. We asked for and received a table so we could watch the eclipse of the moon!
Crab bisque was very nice and the wedge salad had a nice tang to the dressing.
Would return again.
The food was ok but way too salty. Try lightening up on the salt so you can actually taste the food.
Delicious buffet brunch daily
I went here for the Saturday night buffet but after this experience probably won’t be going again. The service was terrible. I could see if it was busy but it wasn’t. I work in the restraunt business and I know how it gets but this was just too much . Our server was to busy talking to other people (I’m guessing friends) as well when she came by all she asked us was our drinks okay?? That’s it. Our seating as well was horrible we were crammed in between the wall/door and other customers one of us had to move as well as the people behind us just to let the other out. FOOD wise I can say the crab legs were the only thing to rave about the prime rib was well done and we went up a few times to see if we just got a end piece but they were all the same well done. The “buffet” really does not have a lot of options. We also ordered off the menu as well and again not that much to rave about. All in all I wouldn’t go again
All four of us got sick with in 30 minutes of leaving restaurant.
Great mai Taos, bad food.
Our server Nate was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with recommendations. The food portions were good and I enjoyed my meal. Good spot that’s close to the airport.
We went for the prime ribs and crab legs. Prime rib was flavorful. Just wanted the au jus to be hot. Crab legs were good until they added different ones. Overall good food.
I had a very nice salat, excellent
Great place to visit. Service is nice. Food is delicious.
Ordered the catch of the day, I had Maui Maui and wife had Ahi, they were both very disappointing. Sorry, but we will still have breakfast there.
Great location at Kauai beach resort. Staff and service was fantastic, very attentive.
The drinks were well made, and the food is sourced from local farms, and fish markets.
Overall a great experience
Love the eggs benedict "sunrise". Beautiful place!
Food and service was wonderful as usual.
Setting was awesome being near the beach and plenty of nearby water features. Competing live music seriously detracted. Soft rock was playing in the lounge and Hawaiian music in the restaurant. Wicker chairs were uncomfortable and too low, especially for my wife. Service was good, but should have been excellent as there were only about 3 or 4 couples in the restaurant when we were there. Food excellent.
Crab & prime rib were good. Fish was super dry and bland. Dessert section was a hit!
Worst service ever. We had to wait for the crabs. If someone went in front of us, we would only get few leftovers and we had to wait again for the next batch. The variety of food was extremely limited.
No one picked up our empty dishes. We ended up putting them on the adjacent table every time we had to dispose of them.
I will never go back. I could have spent the same amount of money on a better dinner someplace else.
Nice and relaxing atmosphere. Everett our server was so personable and not pushy. Very knowledgeable and allowed us time to sit, enjoy a cocktail while looking at the beautiful grounds. Would definitely go back.
The king crab and prime rib was only. Good variety of salads, food, and desserts. Outstanding customer service!
My wife is ecstatic about this place for so many GF items. Waitress was really personable. Hats off to the chef for GF dishes. Got to restaurant that my wife can enjoy without worries.
My husband and I came here for our last night in Kauai for our honeymoon and it was the perfect ending to our time on the island. The cuisine was excellent as was the service. The ambiance is quite lovely with a magnificent ocean view. We chose to dine a la carte as opposed to the buffet but hear that is excellent as well. I would highly recommend.
I have never written a food , service critique ever!! But this experience made me do it. We went there by mistake, I thought it was prime rib buffet night, my bad. But I Decided to just stay and have dinner with my family. It was a slow night, probably 15 people in the restaurant. Our waiter took a while to get to our table, but was nice. The cocktail menu was limited and we asked if they had Moscow mule? Emilio (our waiter) said that he could make It, it wasn't good! and we never finished our drink ( if it was good we would have bought more at $12 ea) Appetizers came, it was ok. The Ahi trio was disappointing no flavor and it had the texture of frozen ahi...or albacore tuna! Ahi poke was uninspired. Mac and cheese..was cauliflower with cheese sauce and Umami fries was so so. Entrees...pork osobuco was good, the creamed corn was not. It was gritty and the cream sauce was broken. The whole fish was ok. overcooked and flavorless, my wife was excited to order it because this was here favorite type of food, she was dissapointed.my son had the spaghetti...he didn't finished it...he stopped eating it after 3 bites. The vegetarian ramen was ok. You could get seared ahi with it for anpther $10 but they were out and substituted manchong instead ( $20 for vegetarian noodles?) All together $30!
Dessert was good with a brownie Smores, with a hot chocolate pour over the sizzling platter...again I do not usually write critiques about restaurants because I have been a chef all my life and critiques are hard and everyone has an opinion, but I felt to pay $200 plus ( Where was the Kamaina discount?) for a meal that was disappointing, did not sit well. I guess we expected better. I apologize to my family for having them experience a supprisling disappointing meal. The bright spot was the hostess who use to work at th Hyatt and the bus girl. I apologize for forgetting their names.I kalso know they have a new talented chef on board and working on fixing these issues.
