Average - wouldn’t go back. From out of town!
Great food. Not enough space for a big party. Expensive. Big portions.
Took my girlfriend for our anniversary and it was a Great restaurant from top to bottom. From the freshness of the food to the subpar service. I will be returning in the near future.
Very convenient & great place. They made it quick & easy for us. Definitely plan to return.
Great place to eat before a show.
Good atmosphere and a reliable Japanese menu make this a good spot for a quick sushi dinner with friends. The sushi was fresh and tasty and the service very attentive.
I had to change the reservation on the day to 15 min later and to add a person- no problem when I called. But I guess they didn't update OpenTable who later said I was a no show.
The sushi was very good, the cocktail choices were great. One guest wasn't a fan of Japanese food but said the chicken she got was very good.
Service was not great. Very rushed, not very attentive but food was excellent!
I had the Chef Choice. My son and I enjoyed being there a lot. Will consider to return in the future.
The food is of a great quality. Lunch special boxes excellent value!
Quaint sushi spot with great drinks, food, and service. Would recommend!
Produits frais et bien préparés, nous nous sommes régalés.
Seul bémol : le lieu est un peu bruyant.
The food is fresh, innovative and beautifully presented.
The food selections were great and the sushi was fresh. We also appreciated the bar playing the Academy Awards, made for a fun evening. The only thing we were a bit annoyed with was their happy hour special. On the website it said happy hour from 10pm to close, but when we asked the server about this she she responded with, "I will need to ask my bartender if they want to offer that." We did end up getting it, but the response was a bit annoying considering that was one of the main reasons we went to the restaurant.
Had a 5:45 reservation. Walked in at 5:45. Was told “You have to leave by 7:00. We need the table. “. Needless to say we refused to be rushed and told the hostess this is not acceptable. She sat us after a few minutes. The waiter came to take our food order. We wanted to order drinks first. He took our drink order and then continued to take our food order even though I had a question about the menu and was not ready to order.
Appetizers were delicious. My duck was fatty, served in a thick sauce. Didn’t care for it.
Seating is cramped and rest rooms are located next door.
Sushi was quite good, chicken and shrimp dumplings were amazing but that’s about where it ends. We were sat at the “kiddie section” with 8:30pm reservations - kids kicking our booth for an hour. I get that it was a bit early for NYC but it wasn’t early bird special early. We thought it would get better but around 10:00pm it became obvious that our section was the staging area for the next day’s prep. Folding napkins, talking shop, employees taking advantage of employee discount meals...
The restaurant is attached to a Hilton Garden Inn-like hotel and the bathrooms are located down a set of stairs adjacent to a continental breakfast cafeteria space. If you’re looking for quality sushi at a reasonable price in NYC, this is your place. If you’re looking to be seen or to show off, this is definitely not your place.
Great scene, great food, very reasonable pricing. Very extensive menu
The entire experience was terrific. We were greeted warmly, the service was terrific. The food was delicious and fresh and it was
great to eat in a lovely surrounding where we could hear each other talk. All in all great.
We sat in the lounge area and ordered 4 maki rolls, the chicken and shrimp dumplings, and the super white tuna tataki. Everything was delicious. We preferred the lounge atmosphere (especially the music) to that of the restaurant itself.
The intimate atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food and good price point, make Natsumi one of our favorite NYC theatre-district dining spots.
Terrible welcome service. Upon arrival, host/waiter said, “you have one hour and then we need the table back”. Nice welcome! 👎 The food was not good and the worst part was I got very ill that evening about 5 hours after eating. I would not recommend this restaurant. Overall poor.
It was good, the sushi quality was decent. It was like a little oomph when it comes to flavor.
Overall it was okay, nothing special. When I read the reviews I expected more but it is what it is. The sushi grade was average and the rolls were common rolls, more veggies in them than sashimi. Just glad I got to spend time with my wife.
Natsumi is one of my favorite places. Everyone is welcoming and attentive and the food is always fresh and amazing.
Great place for some good food and drinks with friends!
Top quality sushi and very fair pricing. Wasn’t too loud considering it was a packed house. Would definitely go there again.
A great restaurant! Loved the sushi and the restaurant was beautiful, modern and sophisticated. A great dinner spot for a celebration or to hangout with friends. On the pricey side but it’s very good food
Amazing ! I Defiantly will be back
Good place to have a nice Sushi/Japanese dinner in a rainy night.
Great pre theater choice
Surprisingly large portion size (had the bento box lunch special). Awkward to walk into an empty restaurant and be asked to sit in the lobby of the adjacent building and wait for the other person in my party. In that lobby, there was another woman who was also asked to wait (instead of being escorted to a table). It did get crowded for lunch. Food is better than decent, but you will be rushed out so expect a little less on that front.
Fantastic food, very accommodating service, lovely people that run the place. We LOVED it!!
We were seeing Wicked and this was right across the street so we said why not. Thank goodness we had reservations. The place was packed. We were starving and ordered our food. For the price we just felt the food was ok. But the ambiance and service was great.
Everything was good
The fried dumplings were phenomenal! The cozy atmosphere, attentive service and excellent food makes Natsumi a great place to have a meal.
The tables were on top of each other. The Booth were were in was in a hallway- freezing cold and smelled like garbage- would never recommend or go back again. Also the service was rude and rushed.
Great place for lunchtime, I had the bento box - great food and great value for money
