Great food once we were able to catch our server. Things are tough in many restaurants so patience is is needed when dining out during these pandemic times.
Very good sushi and a menu with numerous choices. Nice, relaxing space too.
The sashimi dinner (12 pieces) was excellent.
It was good!
Excellent food and service at reasonable prices; a wonderful find in midtown Manhattan!
Used to be my favorite with great staff. Total new staff and adjusted menu. No need to rush back again
Always a pleasure, the sushi is fresh and delicious, the hot appetizers are just as good, service is attentive and quick. Natsumi never disappoints and is even better post pandemic!
Covid precautions made me feel safe. Food very nicely presented and ample portions. Sushi very fresh. Duck nicely prepared.
The restaurant has a Great atmosphere right in the middle of the theater district and, literally, across from the Gershwin theater. My wife and I went there for an anniversary dinner before heading off to see Wicked. Food was good, not overpriced for the city, in my opinion, which was a plus. Best of all, you never know who you'll see there - Bianca Marroquín from Chicago sat right next to us!! We didn't bother her, of course, but it just added 1,000X to the ambiance!
We went here before a show and the staff were pleasant and the indoor ambience is nice. We had requested an outdoor table, but the outside tables were just on the busy sidewalk- noisy and a bit chaotic- so I asked if we could sit inside instead and they accommodated us. The food was good, we had tempura and edamame starters and some sushi rolls. Maybe it was because we weren't very adventurous on the menu, but I would give the food a solid "B" grade. I would go here again if I was looking for a quiet, pleasant atmosphere to get decent sushi.
We absolutely love the food and the service is great too!
We were on a family vacation and really enjoyed the food. Excellent atmosphere as well. Highly recommend.
Service was caring and prompt. The sushi combinations especially were fresh and filling.
The sushi smelled fishy and was not fresh. It was flavorless and spoiled
No concern for customer
On vacay and brought family here. My boys (7 &10) love sushi so it was a nice treat for them. The spicy tuna roll was excellent. My first bite of the dragon roll was really great but a little later I was put off by a very fishy taste in the center of the role. Service was not very attentive, consistent with many places in these current times. I hate to chase the server to get soy sauce, for example. So I’d try a different place next time.
LOVE Natsumi and highly recommend. LOVE the Green Tea Gnocchi!
Always love my meal and experience at Natsumi. Will definitely be back
I have been going to this restaurant for many years, and usually more than once a week. Consistently, fresh tasting fish, wonderful terriyaki, and creative offers from the Sushi bar.
Chef Haru at it again. nuff said!
Natsumi is a Theater District gem--excellent food at a reasonable price with a choice of two different atmospheres: traditional restaurant or laid-back lounge. The fish is fresh and tasty and the non-seafood options are also very good.
Favorite sushi spot!!!
Just keep following Haru around town, and you can’t go wrong!
Had the best dinner at Natsumi while in the city with my family. Just around the corner from the Eugene O’Neil theatre which was super convenient! Great cocktails, super tasty appetizers and probably the best sushi I have ever had. I would recommend Natsumi to anyone looking for tasty food in the city.
Good choice in the area. Sushi was fresh and did not have a bad taste. A little pricey but expected in NYC. had a dinner special of 3 rolls for 22 dollars
We were sat in the back where nobody was. Waiter was not overly friendly.
Both the quality of the food and the selection is excellent.
Staple of mine and I love how quick they ate
Great service, outstanding quality, incredible Villa Pozzi Pinot Grigio!!!
Great food and service, but overpriced and cramped inside. Fine for an expensive quick bite before broadway.
Love this place! Great fresh sushi
Great lunch box deal. I always get the rock shrimp tempura also. Yum!
One of my top 3 sushi restaurants in NYC and a staple pre-theater.
Pre-show dinner on a Saturday night. Hostess and Wait Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was excellent. Place was crowded but we were never rushed. Highly recommended.
Delicious sushi! Fresh, nice presentation. We sat at sushi bar for our dinner and enjoyed watching the artful sushi being made and displayed on plates for customers non stop! They got us in at 645 and out just in time to make a broadway show at 8pm.
The menu had a good selection. The food was very good and so was the service.
Fantasy food and atmosphere.
Japanese-Italian fusion doesn't yield great sushi.
The Chef's Creation option was plentiful for two. The fish was acceptable, presentation was nice, but the rice (most important part of sushi) was poorly cooked. The cheesecake tempura dessert was excellent and made up for the awful tempura shrimp drenched a Thousand Island type of dressing.
Service was poor. Waitress seemed rushed and disinterested. They served us Jasmine tea without letting it steep. An offense to any self-respecting Japanese owned restaurant.
Would recommend this place only if you're in a hurry and have a show nearby to catch. If you're craving high quality sushi-sashimi and attentive service, look elsewhere.
We love Natsumi! The fish is fresh, the menu options are diverse and the food is excellent!
