Best shrimp tempura sushi I’ve ever had.
Loved this place. Employees were all very nice and welcoming. The sushi was amazing. Would definitely go back when in New York.
Good meal. Seating was very tight and the ambiance could therefore have been better. Felt like we were competing for elbow room with the couple next door.
Sehr gutes Essen gepaart mit Lekker Sein
Busboy spilled. Glass of water on the table and my friend. He was only concerned with the spill on the floor. He moved us but didn’t really take care of my friend. Otherwise everything else was fine
Busy place- good food but in the NYC market, not all that exciting... service was very good and very obliging, despite tight quarters and the whole place trying to get to the theater on time! Would recommend but not if you are looking for more than the average good sushi experience.
Sushi was excellent, will be back again. You really do need a reservation for dinner, it gets really busy and the restaurant is smaller in size.
Excellent service and delicious food. We will be back!
Fresh tasting food! Great service.
Nice spot for lunch before going to the theatre. Good sushi, good service and close to all the theatres. They have a nice 3 roll combo for lunch as well as bento boxes.
Happy to find this sushi restaurant on a Sunday night when a lot of others are closed. Great, fresh sushi and lots of other options too.
Ive reviewed this restaurant a few times over the years. It has been a year since I was last there and I did visit on a Sunday night. Sadly, the BEST WAITER -- TONY -- was off and the place was not nearly as good. The entire evening was OFF. Ive never been to the restaurnt with this manager before so I presume she was new. What I can say is she was disengaged. Technically she greeted us, but not nearly the way the past manager (I understand he is now at the other location) did. She set the tone for the evening. I would call it adequate, but FAR from special. Don't get me wrong, the food was still very good - but I have come to know Natsumi as as EXCELLENT experience which includes FOOD, ENVIRONMENT and SERVICE. That was not my experience this time. I'd suggest that if you visit this location you ensure TONY is working that day.
Awful customer service.
Enjoyed the ambiance and efficiency of the restaurant. Good quality and presentation of food items served.
Excellent food and great menu. The best food we had this trip to NY. The service was poor though. The waitress did not take any interest in us and was quite unpolite. It seemed to be a busy night and she probably wanted to go home to rest.
Great sushi! Neat little place and great price!
Great location, comfortable seating, relatively low noise level so we could hear each other, delicious food, affordable, attentive staff, accessible for someone with a disability.
Food was good. Service was okay. Sashimi/sushi cuts were thin from other sushi restaurants I have experienced.
Lackluster
I’m a local and don’t think I’ll return....
The cooked food from the kitchen was bland.... best thing was the edemame
Fish was fresh. Reasonably priced. The drinks were good but on the weak side
Food was excellent and the noise level was not too bad. And the prices were moderate. What more can you ask for in a theater district restaurant.
Disappointing that my booking was made for 945 but when we arrived we were rushed- kitchen was closing at 10 so we were rushed to chose our food, rushed to pay the check and not offered a desert. Before we had even finished our drinks we were told by the waiter that the restaurant is now closed! The teriyaki chicken was dry and it was oddly served with carrot! Sushi was good. Wouldn't recommend.
THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE VERY GOOD. PORTIONS WERE GENEROUS. MANAGEMENT KINDLY GAVE OUR GUESTS CELEBRATING AN ANNIVERSARY A COMPLIMENTARY DESSERT WHICH WAS MOST APPRECIATED.
Food average. Waiter terrible. No personality, no hello. Stood in front of us and wrote what we said. No explanation on a menu item we had a question on. Was like being waited on by a wall.
I love this place, fresh and interesting sushi. Try the Natsumi and Wolf Rolls. Also fabulous dumplings. My go to in the theater district. Nice to eat light before a show.
Very loud! Waitress rushed us and was not very pleasant
Natsumi is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the Theater District. The food is fresh and the sushi presentations creative and delicious. I like the quiet. Too many restaurants in Times Square are noisy, especially pre-theater. I don't think Natsumi offers a set pre-theater menu but it does not need one. There are plenty of small, shareable plates which is what we enjoy best,
Always enjoy pre theater dinner at Natsumi. It's close to many Broadway shows reasonably priced and the food and service is great.
For a restaurant so close to time square and the ‘tourist’ area, it was surprisingly intimate and good quality. The food tasted great, the service was prompt but not ‘in your face’ and it was a perfect pre-broadway show dinner spot. Would eat here again.
The food was very good. However, I have a severe shellfish allergy which I explained to the waitress. She assured me that a special roll I wanted could be made without crab. After a couple of bites I realized that it had crab and she removed it from the table. She apologized and offered to pay for the entire meal. Food allergies can be very serious and, thankfully, I didn’t have an adverse reaction, but our dinner was ruined.
We dined pre theatre and really enjoyed our sushi and sashimi. Items were very reasonably priced, especially for the theater area. Fish was fresh and delicious. The restaurant didn’t feel hectic or crazy and wasn’t overly loud. A great pre theater find!
Terrific sushi and fabulous place for before a show!
The wait even with a reservation was long. we had 3 people of 4 and the still refuse to seat us. It would be the same 4 seat table!! come on guys!! Its my 4th time at this spot and I do find the wait time to be seated then a long wait time for food is too long. I keep going back though for their food. Maybe they need a bigger spot.
Food was good but service was poor. Employees were rude.
The sushi was super fresh and tasty and they didn't skimp on the size of the pieces. Great place for a pre-theater meal
Possibly would recommend as it was very nice before dinner...liked atmosphere. The service was very good and the sushi was pretty good, not the best...sushimi was cut in too large a piece to handle well.
The miso soup was OVER PRICED. The rest were probably NYC prices. It was also so convenient to my
parking and the theatre. So, I was satisfied...therefore, I would recommend for all of the reasons listed above. They have a lovely lounge next to the restaurant that I found appealing. All of the help was super
nice and helpful!
Great food, very busy, service was solid but not five star but would return.
beautiful setting, beautiful food! Natsumi is a gem. The freshest fish, perfectly cooked tempura and thoughtfully presented plates. the Natsumi special roll and the king crab dumplings are must-haves. The chirashi is generous and well composed.
Excellent meal! Service was great and food was incredible.
Great Service! Sushi was outstanding. We arrived after a long broadway show and they were so sweet to serve us and let us enjoy our dinner.
Hi there! We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with us. We hope you enjoyed the show, and we hope to see you again.
