Just keep following Haru around town, and you can’t go wrong!
Had the best dinner at Natsumi while in the city with my family. Just around the corner from the Eugene O’Neil theatre which was super convenient! Great cocktails, super tasty appetizers and probably the best sushi I have ever had. I would recommend Natsumi to anyone looking for tasty food in the city.
Good choice in the area. Sushi was fresh and did not have a bad taste. A little pricey but expected in NYC. had a dinner special of 3 rolls for 22 dollars
We were sat in the back where nobody was. Waiter was not overly friendly.
Both the quality of the food and the selection is excellent.
Staple of mine and I love how quick they ate
Great service, outstanding quality, incredible Villa Pozzi Pinot Grigio!!!
Great food and service, but overpriced and cramped inside. Fine for an expensive quick bite before broadway.
Love this place! Great fresh sushi
Great lunch box deal. I always get the rock shrimp tempura also. Yum!
One of my top 3 sushi restaurants in NYC and a staple pre-theater.
Pre-show dinner on a Saturday night. Hostess and Wait Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was excellent. Place was crowded but we were never rushed. Highly recommended.
Delicious sushi! Fresh, nice presentation. We sat at sushi bar for our dinner and enjoyed watching the artful sushi being made and displayed on plates for customers non stop! They got us in at 645 and out just in time to make a broadway show at 8pm.
The menu had a good selection. The food was very good and so was the service.
Fantasy food and atmosphere.
Japanese-Italian fusion doesn't yield great sushi.
The Chef's Creation option was plentiful for two. The fish was acceptable, presentation was nice, but the rice (most important part of sushi) was poorly cooked. The cheesecake tempura dessert was excellent and made up for the awful tempura shrimp drenched a Thousand Island type of dressing.
Service was poor. Waitress seemed rushed and disinterested. They served us Jasmine tea without letting it steep. An offense to any self-respecting Japanese owned restaurant.
Would recommend this place only if you're in a hurry and have a show nearby to catch. If you're craving high quality sushi-sashimi and attentive service, look elsewhere.
We love Natsumi! The fish is fresh, the menu options are diverse and the food is excellent!
Outstanding food quality and service. Only negative is the small space and close proximity of the other diners.
One of our very favorite restaurants. Always a treat!
Always enjoy the options at Natsumi. A number of really terrific and more creative sushi options along with all the usuals.
Our problem was that Open Table accepted a reservation for 9:45. We got there early at about 9:20 to maybe have a drink and were promptly informed that last call was 9:30. We were then reminded of this by another woman who came to our table at 9:25. We ordered and then another couple and a family came in after 9:30. They were seated and ordered well after 9:30. The restaurant didn’t record that I showed up so I got a critical message from Open Table. The restroom is in the bar across the hall - inconvenient. But the food was good and maybe under other circumstances it would have been a good experience
Excellent!
I would have given this restaurant a 5 star but our waiter was not friendly at all, borderline rude. He was so dry and not engaging. Didn’t take the time to discuss menu ask if we had questions or even suggest menu items.
It was a damper on a very nice meal
Great theater district location. Food was good and tasted great. Service was very friendly and efficient.
Sushi well prepared and always fresh. Steak teriyaki was cooked perfectly in a tasty sauce. Only negative was the speed in which they serve in order to generate turnover.
Best sushi I’ve ever had and sushi is my favorite food. Prices very reasonable and great ambiance for a fun casual meal. I will be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. I loved the tuna tataki
The sushi and tempura we had was excellent. And our servers were responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing keeping me from an excellent rating overall is that the space is a bit small and the tables next to you are a bit close since we could overhear every word being said by party next to us. The quality of the food deserves a bit of a better setting with a bit more space.
This meal was truly awesome...the dumplings, the soup, the sushi and sashimi, the tempura, the plum wine and saki and a very special lichee sorbet and chocolate cake for dessert..I cannot say enough positive things about it...even more outstanding was the extremely attentive and kind waiter. And then the view..Times Square at rush hour...very amazing to this Ohioan...definitely fabulous.... any plans to open one in Youngstown soon? People here drive an hour to Pittsburgh for Japanese cuisine and our rents and tax rebates are awesome....no matter what, good morning anyways!
Good food. Nice location. Great service.
Great sushi spot to eat at before going to a show!
It was a great stop before a show. They are accustomed to get you in and out. I showed up early for my reservation and they sat us within 5 minutes. Some of the best sushi I have had.
awesome food, small place so reservation was valuable before seeing a show! highly recommend the teriyaki salmon dish WOW
An intimate experience with unique flavorful fusion, and tasty standards. Service was great.
The food was fantastic, menu had a great range and choice
The service however was awful, we were left in a corner, given no assistance with the menu, had food plonked down in front of us, the soft drinks were flat and had to be sent back. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night but it was a shame the staff rather than the food let the restaurant down.
If this place wasn’t so close to broadway shows it would be out of business. The service was some of the worst I’ve experienced... employees were very obviously completely unconcerned with guests experience outside of maximizing their profit. I arrived at the bar a few minutes before happy hour ended and the waitress withheld the happy hour menu until I specifically asked for it, running out the clock until the drink prices went up. Waiters stood around folding napkins in the few empty bar seats, rather than make space available as I waited for my party on a busy Friday night. Food was mediocre.
Great food, beautiful presentation! It was a pre show dinner and we got out of there in plenty of time to see the show
It was amazing
Ottimo sushi e sashimi location piacevole prezzi ragionevoli per New York
Grazie mille!
Quality sushi, prompt and courteous service
