Natalie's at Camden Harbour Inn Ratings and Reviews
The service, food and atmosphere was over the top great. The waiter and all the serving staff was so good. It is pricey, however it is a special experience I would recommend. We had the lobster tasting menu and the wine pairing, again pricey but it did not disappoint.
Incredible view of ocean waves crashing on rocks. I cannot say it enough: incredible views. Also impeccable service. Impeccable. And impeccable food! And impeccable prices! You get what you pay for, I have always found. You may only have to sell one or two of your children. But you will have memories that last a lifetime. And you only live once, apparently.
We were celebrating the 60th anniversary of our first date 9/27/57! The food, the wine, the service, the ambiance,.....the whole experience: first class from start to finish.
I chose the 5 course lobster dinner with the wine pairings, my lovely wife chose the 4 course meal, also with the wine pairings. The food presentation was superb, the taste of each course a tantalizing taste bud adventure, and...the wines were very well selected to pair with each food course. Our wine steward explained the reasoning, and expectations with wine and the course about to be served. We were thoroughly impressed with Natalie's Restaurant! Definitely a place to go to for special occasions!
Spectacular evening with innovative presentation and wonderful local cuisine. The wine list was wonder and the sommelier was helpful and knowledgable. The meal last about 2.5 hours but was delightfully paced. The meal is expensive but well worth the experience.
Memorable! I rarely give such 'high marks' but dinner at Natalie's was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was unexpected at times but always delicious. The location was charming and very comfortable. The service was friendly and attentive. Of course it all comes at a cost and it is was expensive but we were celebrating our anniversary and it was worth it.
Natalie's restaurant is a proud membre of Relais & Châteaux.
It deserves all its diamonds.
Spending an evening at Natalie's restaurant is by itself a valuable reason for spending a few days in Maine.
Very fine cuisine, several dedicated persons to take care of you and...you never get the bill untill you're really finished.
Really an outstanding place to go.
We went to Natalies for a special dinner. The restaurant/ hotel is very nice and we did enjoy our dinner very much. The Staff was very nice and and helpful, especially the sommelier. We did the full tasting menu and the food was beautifully presented and fresh. Portions were a bit tiny (i.e. 1 oyster, 1 slice of beef), and everything was just ok, but not exceptional or especially memorable . I do not expect huge portions with a tasting but I did find this meal a little skimpy.
I did not want goat and they were happy to substitute. I would be reluctant to recommend with such a limited menu. Overall, we are happy we went and we did enjoy the experience but would not be anxious to go back.
Natalie's is without a doubt the best restaurant anywhere in Midcoast Maine and rivals even the best restaurants in Portland and beyond. The service is always effortless and superb, the kitchen easily accommodates allergies and dietary restrictions without compromising the quality of the food, and the cocktail program is coup de grace that puts it over the top into the perfect evening.
Always a delight. Dined earlier in the summer when a seasonal place can get more staff and the service was a bit more prompt and attentive, but the kitchen remains outstanding. Great place for a special occasion or if you just want a top notch meal. Natalie's would be competitive with the top tier restaurants in Chicago (one of America's great dining cities).
We were anticipating an exclusive dining experience, instead we were told to order only the prix fix dinner and there was no flexibility. The service was attentive however after 1 hour we had not even received the bread. They bring chef's Mouch Bouche tastings that are not fit for human consumption. there is 30 minutes between each course. If you like food that is tiny in portions and covered with some sort of foam that resembles what a sick frog would spit out on a rock then you will love this place.
I ordered the lobster menu and was told that I would get 3 courses of lobster tastes and then a traditional lobster as the final course,,,that was a joke because I got two tiny claws that were about the size of my pinky.
Don't go here unless you have $400 to waste.
Our visit to Natalie's was wonderful. We were fortunate to have a table on the patio under one of the heat lamps so we could enjoy the ambiance. Two of us had the four course prix fixe and one of us the lobster menu. Every course was like receiving an unexpected, lovely gift. We also received a few plates in between courses from the chef. We don't often treat ourselves to this kind of meal and are so happy we decided to do it at Natalie's. Thank you for the experience!
An extraordinary experience. Recently vacationing in Camden, we dined there twice and were delighted with the attentiveness of the staff to our every need. Exceptionally knowledgeable wine service with young, enthusiastic sommeliers. Personable and skilled servers. And a creative, adventurous and artful chef. We dined on the veranda, both nights, to the sounds of nocturnal Camden and cool jazz and Latin. For a few hours each night, we were treated--may, transported--to an exceptional dining experience.
Natalie's clearly is a special place. A beautiful location and service that was impeccable. My review however reflects the overall quality of the food relative to the price. Both my wife and I had the 4 course prix fix menu. The first and second courses and the extras served were all outstanding. My wife's lobster entree was creative, interesting, and delicious. However, I ordered the steak and probably contributed to the issue by ordering it medium well. I should have ordered it medium or how the chef recommends. At medium well it was overdone and chewy. It was tasty but not really enjoyable at such an overdone state. In my experience it was well done. The deserts were very creative but I personally thought mine had too much going on and the taste was ok. The next time I'm back in Camden, there are several other restaurants that I would try before going back.
