Naschmarkt Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Have loved this very special establishment since meal #1 the first year they opened thanks to recommendation from bar mgr at Alexander’s. It’s consistently wonderful every time! Btw, I live in Miami and its always on my list when I come to headquarters here! How do you say “food-gasm” in Austrian? Naschtmarkt!!
Naschmarkt never falters. The quality, the service are top notch. Wiener schnitzel excellent as always and the swordfish was succulent and quite uniquely prepared with a citrus beurre blanc and macadamia nuts. Always a pleasure to walk in- genuinely friendly, cordial atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
We don't get there very often, but have always had a wonderful dining experience and felt like our business is sincerely appreciated. Although we didn't have him this time our dog has always been welcome. It is good value for wonderful food. Corkage is $25.00.
We enjoyed our meals here on Friday night. Two of us has the Goulash and loved it. one had the stuffed cabbage and loved it and I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and loved it. We also ordered 2 of the pretzels with mustard and they were a little over cooked and got hard pretty quickly, so that was a little disappointing. Desserts we enjoyed were the vanilla souffle and the molten chocolate cake. One of our party was thrilled to find Schneider beer on draft and said he hadn't seen that outside of Munich before. We were not rushed at all and enjoyed sitting at our table for well over 2 hours, while many tables turned around us.
I had the goat cheese purse salad and the Jäger Schnitzel. The salad with the warm goat cheese was complex and fabulous. The spätzle with the schnitzel was some of the best I've ever had. My date had the Kraut Rouladen. If I only had to eat this and the spätzle from now on, I could be very happy.
We ended with a fluffy soufflé that was flavorful and not too heavy.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and had been wanting to try out Naschmarkt based on several recommendations. We spent our last anniversary in Vienna, and were anxious to bring back some great memories via our tastebuds. We were not disappointed! Fabulous food, service and ambiance. Great wine list! Look forward to returning soon.
Food was bland, had to send halibut back because it was overcooked. Second time it came out it was raw in the center and the waiter made the statement "it is hard to balance", for $38 I feel like the fish should have been cooked perfectly. It was also served over mushy , like over ripe tomatoes, and no sauce.. i really wanted to like this restaurant, but it was mediocre from the beginning. The ambiance is nice and the wine pours are generous which was nice. Would not go back.
