Had high hopes and heard great reviews. We were crammed into a corner. Our waiter forgot our drink and appetizer order. Then our main meals were luke warm. The party sitting next to us was drunk and loud and inescapable considering the close quarters. This made our birthday dinner experience less than special.

The flavor of the food and the interesting options would coax us for a second try, but the price is not worth the experience.

The food and service here are always amazing. The soups and spaetzle are to die for. The sausage special was delicious, as was the cheesecake-like dessert. And wine selection?? Perfect!

There were some high notes (Jagerschnitzel) and some notes that were almost there but missed by a hair (red cabbage flavor was good but oversweetened; burrata special a bit off-putting becuase the warm tomatoes caused the burrata to get warm; scallop appetizer was cooked perfectly, but like the burrata and several other dishes we had, there was a tendency for dishes to be a tad over-salted). The service was fantastic.

This place is one of my favorites. Echt Österreichische Essen. Not inexpensive, but still worth it for special occasions. We've eaten here at least 4x over the last 2-3 years and had outstanding meals every time.

The host of the restaurant is very rude and pushy. When one person in our party of 4 was running behind and 10 minutes late, (while we were seated at our table) the host came over to ask "harshly" when this person would be arriving. Strongly suggesting we need to hurry up. There were 3 other tables of 4 available around us, with seating outside. We had a reservation for 6pm, on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday. At NO time were all the tables fully occupied while we were there. When you are at the Naschmarkt restaurant you feel very rushed. The Host has a horrible attitude. He does not smile and is very unfriendly. This is the second time this particular host has presented himself to us in this manner. For the very high price that you pay, you should not be made to feel rushed in any way. For 4 of us, the bill came to $300, which included a $25 a bottle corkage fee! So, we did not even order drinks. For this kind of money, you should always feel welcome and comfortable to take your time!

Three people for dinner. The food was exceptional as is always. Especially the silky corn soup! The service was very good as it has always been. Just another fine evening at Nashmarkt.

I thought the food was very good, but the service was outstanding. We both had the Weinerschnitzel, which was delicious, but from my point of view over priced for a piece of meat, a little preserves, and half a cup of potato salad.

Had another great meal at Naschmarkt! Ordered the same thing because I can't not have the roulmalad (sp?) The spaetzel appetizer is another favorite too. Our waiter John took excellent care of us ladies.

A small gem of a restaurant in downtown Campbell, Naschmarkt has never disappointed. Their food is fresh and seasonal. While rooted in Austrian cuisine, it offers plenty of pleasant surprises. Quality food, combined with an excellent bar and cellar make this a highly rated place for a pleasant evening, either for a date or with an intimate group of friends.

Out group of friends dinner was enhanced by Naschmarkt's offering to reserve a patio table for us. This put us at the edge of a busy Campbell sidewalk, but that proved to be a lively and pleasant ambience. Our waiter Bob was extremely professional, and eager to help. And the food is excellent. As an appetizer we had a three-sausage combination, and each was excellent. The entrees were both tasty and generous. One has a choice of sharing or over-eating. As it was, I personally regretted not having the appetite for apfel strudel or a sinful chocolate cake.

Do I recommend Naschmarkt? Emphatically!

The Naschmarkt is quint, with a great menu and service. I little tight of space in the main dining room, but the menu and service make up the that minuet short fall. The open look and outside dining option make the a Campbell favorite. I had the Schnitzel and my wife the Arctic Char, the Schnitzel was crisp and tender seasoned perfectly and the Arctic Char had a nice grill-char on one side and cook perfectly through the bottom, both dishes excellent and reminded me of dining on Stephansplatz.

We have been 3 times and try to have something different each time. This last Saturday we shared an appetizer of scallops, a goat cheese salad and our own dinners of the pork bellys and classic schnitzel. Everything was fantastic! The service was beyond excellent. Even our water glasses were attended perfectly! We are looking forward to our next visit to try another excellent meal!

Really the best restaurant in the Bay Area. Mathias makes the best of what is fresh, local, current. Menu frequently changes to offer what's local and in season. You may think you had the Game Hen last time, but this time, it is completely different, cooked with everything that was amazing at the farmers' market that weekend. Top-notch service, it's like going home to see family every time. Haven't been? What are you waiting for?
