Wait staff in a sushi restaurant and doesn’t know much about Japanese food. Not friendly at all.
La comida estaba impresionante, el pescado fresco y delicioso, sobre todo el salmón, muy recomendado
Food was average.
Could not have been a more perfect dining experience!
The food is great, service might take a little long when it is full.
Best sushi we’ve had in a while! We had Jo sashimi & sushi. Every bite was tender and delicious!
The fish was good, but small pieces cut too thin so pieces were not balanced , and way overpriced. We cut the meal short and went to an izzykaya nearby.
Outstanding Sushi made with choice fresh ingredients of the the highest quality. I would rank Nare in the top echelon of New York sushi emporiums.
Nare Sushi serves incredibly tasty fish, extraordinary drinks, and excellent other Japanese dishes. Unfortunately, they no longer offer lunch specials which changes the dynamic for me. It used to be that I would travel from anywhere in Manhattan to eat lunch here, now I only do so if I'm in the area. Fortuna transit.
Sushi and other items were outstanding and reasonably priced for the quality. Decor is attractive and tables are reasonably spaced.
Fresh & tasty Very good sashimi plate
It is rare to see actually good food nowadays. It is even more rare to see good food with excellent execution and presentation. And I think that Nare hits those marks easily. The place is small but when we got there it was packed. I mean almost completely. Given that it is located on billionaires row it has to keep the standards high but I don't think it's going to be difficult.
The Omakase is one of the best I've seen around with A5 Wagyu, fish, and seafood imported from Japan. It's a rare sight to have a server explain to you exactly where your food comes from, most places just have it written on the menu if at all. The fish is fresh like I've not tasted in many restaurants. The sake is nicely complementing the food. The atmosphere is intimate and that makes the experience so wonderful.
Definitely worth a visit more so before the business lunch crowds come back.
Very nice ambiance. Good and service was great.
average sushi for very expensive, hard to find restaurant. Not the greatest service
Omakase is a steal at $75; definitely recommend sitting at the Sushi bar though for a better experience. Table service is nice, but you will get the entire plate of sushi upfront if that is where you sit.
Great Sushi Omakase and excellent service. Excellent saki with dinner- Gasanryu Kisaragi - Daiginjo. Accommodated very well my request for diary free and gluten free food!
This is still a favorite Japanese restaurant we consider in our neighborhood. While they have curated their menu during current pandemic times, food quality seems consistent. Service is a bit slow so when dining here, one shouldn't be in a rush.
Beautiful presentation and quality of the food. Only drawback is 9:00 closure of the bar and kitchen. Inasmuch as they would like to keep with the tradition of Japan's operating hours seemed odd in New York???
Food and service were really good. If you want above average sushi that’s not overpriced, this is your spot.
Solid Japanese in an office building atrium. Not overly familiar with the neighborhood, but this struck me as the best sushi option in the area. Food solid if not a bit expensive for the quality.
Somewhat cold/odd decor/environment
Good food, attentive service.
On the expensive side
Worst waiter, Maitre d ever!!!
Robert treated us wonderfully - good to finally be back after the pandemic!
Delicious sushi, lovely staff and strong cocktails. A win, win, win!
This place was so good I am reluctant to review it. Giggles. I don’t want it to get too crowded. The food was absolutely amazing and fresh and it’s an open and quiet restaurant. Perfect for meeting a friend for lunch in Midtown.
Good sushi but quite expensive for what it is! A nigiri sushi order is $5 dollars for one piece. Maybe it’s New York and acceptable but back in California that would never fly.
Food was descent but don’t have enough severs to look after customers.
First time there , Sushi was extra fresh and delish, went with a Japanese friend who is a sushi snob and he really liked it !
Fresh sushi and food quality is high. Used to give you salad or soup with sushi but no longer. Nice atmosphere
We had a wonderful server and excellent dining experience. Not over- priced especially for NYC. Sushi very fresh
Excellent food as usual. Service is very attentive and unobtrusive. Don't let the location (an unattractive office building lobby) keep you away from one of the best japanese in NY.
Excellent. Loved the food and ambiance. Service was good
Food was good but atmosphere was blah. Last call for food/drinks/dessert was at 8:50pm when we were enjoying our first appetizer.
Quality of sushi was a bit disappointing. Some fish was not as fresh.
It took a long wait time to receive food.
Woman working ALONE during lunch time needs help.
Great food and service!
Good standards have been maintained
