Great lunch spot! Awesome service
Great service and food
Incredible food - lunch menu has good prices. You must have a reservation - very busy
The service was prompt. The waiter was attentive and courteous. The sushi was excellent. The restaurant was decorated nicely. Unfortunately, somehow my appetizer was forgotten for the entire lunch, which was unfortunate. Nonetheless, the overall experience was professional done. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful sushi and sashimi as always. And we love that they have Calpico for younger guests.
Excellent sushi in an appealing contemporary setting. Very friendly staff. Will be back.
Fabulous food, attentive service. Unexpectedly quiet for for midtown. Will definitely return!
Great food and service. Very reasonably priced.
Work in the fish industry. Sashimi needs to be colder
Really fun and excellent experience here. Waitress was a little forgetful (forgot to bring us the check and something else small) but the food more than made up for it.
It was corect.
The service was terrible. The unagi was premade and cold as was my soft shelled crab roll. The wait staff was lost as to how the food is prepared. I would never recommend anyone go to this restaurant as there are just too many excellent places for sushi in midtown and this is not one of them. A truly disappointing experience.
Always fresh fish A little pricier than most but consistently good!
Always great at Nare Sushi
The food was very mediocre for the price. They only had >100 red cabs on the menu which would be fine if it was nobu but not this place which sits in a mall.
Everything was fantastic.
The only thing we would’ve wished for was for all the food to have been brought out at the same time for our party of 6.
Thank you to a wonderful staff.
We enjoy going to Nare while in NYC. The food is predictable for a Japanese Restaurant. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding but it tasted fresh. Some of the sashimi pieces were a bit thin, but I guess for the price it was ok. Typical lunch, miso soup, over dresses salad & sushi. We ordered the shishito peppers as an appetizer & the first few were mild in heat, the last one was so hot our mouths were tingling, I guess it’s like a box of chocolates, you never know when a hot one lands in your mouth.
Discovered this neat little sushi spot recently and glad I found it. Food was terrific and what you would expect from a higher-end sushi joint. Would visit again for a corporate lunch.
Not happy being sat at the worst table right next to stairs in an otherwise empty restaurant, at 11:30 AM no less. When we left, restaurant still half empty. Inexcusable. Will not return anytime soon.
Excellent sushi!!! One of the best lichee martinis I’ve ever had. Location a little odd.
Too many choice's in Manhattan to be that expensive for the value. No major flaws, just only slightly above average.
Good mood for dating
And value price
The best food and service
Had a very good lunch at Nare. The sushi was high quality, albeit smaller-than-usual portions, even for sushi. The luncheon entrees-- grilled salmon for instance, was very good and a decent value. Service was excellent. Ambiance just OK, it's tucked away in a lobby of a high-rise.
Nare is an excellent “I’m in the mood for some Sushi” place. It is not a destination restaurant. It’s aesthetic feels a bit tired, and it’s setting (in a mini business park atrium) means that you are not there for the pleasure of eating there, but for meeting another person. The fact that you are eating at the same time merely feels like a pleasant coincidence. This is not a compliant, it is a warning to foodies.
My only compliant about the location is in regards to the seating. You are practically sharing a table with your other diners. There is almost no space between tables. I understand that a restaurant needs to squeeze everything that it can out of every available square foot, but really the seating felt almost claustrophobic.
Great sushi, quiet atmosphere, friendly service. Would definitely go again!
Great omakase. Must try!
High quality, fresh ingredients skillfully prepared and beautifully presented.
Better ambiance, comfort and more spacious than that one-star Michelin sushi place on the Upper East Side.
Lindo lugar, con mesas y barra en desniveles. La comida es de calidad, y la atención rápida y cordial!
Voy a volver...
Nare Sushi was good, but not great. The ambiance and service are very nice but the food was quite unremarkable. Very "typical sushi joint" level. The salmon was overcooked, the fish in the tuna and avocado salad was extremely salty and the rolls were doused in PLAIN mayo. Very odd. It just wasn't tasty, it was typical takeout level. However, it's a great find for lunch in the area if you're looking for sushi that isn't just a take out joint for clients, etc.
First time visit. Food was quite good, ambiance was anything but warm
I enjoy the consistency of the high quality meals, usually a lunch in my case.
I keep returning to Chirashi Sushi as my meal of choice. I have never been disappointed.
Very creative menu items, especially vegetable appetizers. Would gladly go back.
I have not been disappointed on return visits to Nare Sushi. The quality has been consistently high. Th Chirashi Sushi dish has become my favorite.
The great part about this restaurant is that they included a candle on our dessert, from my mention of it in my reservation notes.
The dessert we chose (mochi) was also delicious, although on the expensive side - which is appropriate for the area.
The less outstanding part was the sushi itself, I found to be unremarkable for the price. It was fine.
The entire experience was just middle of the road. In this city, I’ll aim for more remarkable.
After a long day of walking around and shopping until we almost dropped we found this gem! An Oasis of sushi! The food was delicious and very fresh. The ambiance was cool, but not over the top. Overall the service was good. Our waitress was familiar with the menu but I was looking for a little more information about specialities and perhaps a smile or welcoming interaction with the server. I will definitely come back and I do recommend this restaurant.
Great place for sushi! Good for a date night, family dinner, a dinner with a couple of friends. Large groups would not be ideal because the space is more intimate.
Excellent Japanese food served in an attractive (conveniently situated) venue. I recommend choosing from the daily lunch specials. I had Wagyu Beef with Umi which was really excellent.
This is a great place for a Japanese lunch. The ingredients are fresh and healthy and the food is tastefully presented. It will not disappoint.
