Great food and good value for your money! The service was outstanding and they sat us early.
Nara for lunch was fantastic. We set the reservation ahead of time and were well taken care of during the course of our lunch.
Delicious Bento Box lunch!
My husband and I were in a group of six. We were seated at a table that was small for six people. Other than being a bit crowded, we enjoyed Nara. The lettuce wraps, the miso soup, the beef and broccoli, and the sushi were especially good. I had a mojito with sake that was outstanding.
Food is great but it’s soooo loud. Seating is very tight, not the place for a private conversation. You also seem to get run over by wait staff frequently. Great value for quality of sushi.
Service was very slow..... we got there for 6:30 and it took 10-15 minutes before a waitress came to our table. Took forever to get drinks...... we left around 8:15..... took a while for a checks to come back and for our cards to come back. I’ll still go back as the food was amazing but disappointed with the service
Great sushi! Great service! Only wished we sat on the window side.
Ladies night dinner menu is great. Good food
The meal was cute. The section we were given was cute. Natalie had a fat booty lol my wife says. Hahaha. Love ya nat. Deuces
The Mr. Lobster roll was our favorite
Food was awesome and portion sizes large!
Great sushi. Really fun place. We had a party of 6, some with food issues (gluten/dairy), and there was something for everyone. The jalapeño popper roll was amazing.
The crab cakes had more breading than I like. Out of the 3 rolls purchased 1 was good. Not sure if the description of the rolls were great because the 2 that weren't great weren't what we were expecting. Overall, it was ok. I'm not rushing to go back.
This was our second visit and Nara did not disappoint. First time at the happy hour which is outstanding. Will be back.
Nara has one of the best Happy Hours in Kansas City. Our group always enjoys meeting there.
YUKI, the server we were lucky enough to have is very good at his job. Wednesday is Ladies Night which is very busy.. But he was so professional, very energetic and made our table feel special. The food is great.. I know this BUT Yuki!!!! I'm still impressed by his service and it's been two days.
We love Nara, especially the Wednesday night ladies night specials...can't be beat! Great sangria, the veggie and Vegas rolls are favorites. Service is always good as well.
Always a great place
Came here for my husband's birthday since he loves sushi! And the food was wonderful! He loved his sushi and I couldnt get enough of my teriyaki salmon. Only issue was once we got our food, the waiter VANISHED! We watched him walk back and forth and even talk to the table next to us but we sat there for a while with our empty plates in front of us. No offer of dessert menu (which was what we were waiting for) or our check. When we did get our dessert it was a Lava cake.! Yummy! Not much lava but still so good!
We will come back because the food is just that good. We will probably dress a little better too, since it was a little more upper class vibe than we are use too.
Awesome service. Great food. Traditional Asian fusion type foods, but they add just that little bit extra to each dish creating a noticeable distinction that elevates their food above what you expect. We definitely will be adding Nara to the pool of our go-to restaurants.
Although I made this reservation several days in advance, they placed us in an overflow area at the front of the restaurant near the door. Not sure I will visit again without calling directly to specify the seating location.
This was a good place for a date night. Not blown away by the food, but a good sushi spot for being in the middle of the country. Service was pretty great as well.
Delicious sushi, great cocktails, convenient location to the Kauffman Center and other downtown locations.
We were a little disappointed. The prices for many of the items did not appear to have any real value, as the food was nothing super special. Our server was friendly and good feel to the place but the value was simply not there.
Great food, great house cocktails, and fun atmosphere.
Super great tasting sushi and half price drinks when we went on a Thursday. Service was quick.
Amazing dinner and loved the crab ragoon sauce! My server did an awesome job, and was really knowledgeable of the menu.
We went on a double date to Nara and it was so wonderful! The ambiance of the restaurant is just quiet enough but still very exciting. The menu had so many wonderful options, including sushi, pasta, fried rice, and salads. Added bonus: the drink menu is delightful! Our server was so so so kind. Nara was an amazing experience, and my boyfriend and I are excited to go back!
Excellent food, stunning views and great service. The only issue was it was a little too loud for our taste.
Love it! We enjoyed the food and service
Good atmosphere overall, but the sushi was bland. We tried the alligator tempura, mega roll, lobster roll, and a two others. The shrimp tempura was the best thing we tried and it had great sauces with it. If I went back I would get the shrimp tempura again and try one of their entrees instead of sushi.
Seriously one of my favorite places! Diego is always amazing and the food is always so yummy! It’s been our go to spot for girls nights for 3 years!
The atmosphere was quiet with music playing at a low enough volume not to interfere with chit chat. The decor was natural industrial with brick walls, exposed venting, wood ceilings and floors and large cylindrical metal lights with geometric cutouts. Very nice!
For appetizers, we had the lettuce wraps and romaine salad. Both were huge in amount and excellent in taste. One in our group had the combo, and his sausage in particular was excellent. Someone else had the Korean BBQ beef bowl, and it was good but not outstanding. I had the teriyaki trio, which was a little dry. The salad that came with it had excellent romaine lettuce but was otherwise nondescript.
Service was lacking but didn’t bother us too much just noticeable but great food!
Nara has become one of our favorite sushi spots in KC. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast. The sushi is fantastic, but the variety of other menu options (try the salmon!) means everyone can find something they like.
Very nice restaurant. Our table was ready when we got there and the server was attentive and helpful. Sushi was good and the garlic beef and broccoli was amazing. The beef was so tender and the flavor was awesome.
Great food. High prices but worth it. Definitely will be back.
Nara always is the best place for sushi that my wife and I love to go to. Thanks for always being so consistent! Don't change a thing!
overall i love nara but i think it’s too expensive. which means i can only enjoy it for special occasions
Service was fantastic. Food was great and timely. We ordered a ton of sushi, and it arrived in a boat! Literally a boatload of sushi! Great time all around. Highly recommend a visit.
