Upon arrival we had no idea what type of pizzeria we were going to. The waitress seemed put out by us being there. When I asked about a certain drink, she informed me they don't carry that. I asked to ask for recommendations on the drinks, salad and food. A good waitress would ask what we like and provide us with what fits for us. Honestly I felt like she didn't want to be there working Friday evening. Not very personable. We purchased a unique pizza and a semi-typical pizza and enjoyed the pizza. Salads were okay. We were out to try a new place to eat and probably won't be returning.
Great food always!
Impeccable food, but the service is snobby. Love the atmosphere, drinks, and appetizers particularly. (The butternut squash hummus dip was so unique and tasty!)
Service was terrible, but the pizza was good
Given that this restaurant is owned by the Patachou group, my expectations were high. Although the pizzas used fresh ingredients, the crusts were unimpressive (doughy) and the prices were quite expensive. Our appetizers were over spiced and with a half full restaurant, there is no excuse for the inattentive service. I would not return.
Large party, which is common for us at Napolese. They always do a great job serving and the food is ALWAYS top notch. Love a Patachou restaurant.
My wife and I chose the Napolese Pizzeria for dinner due to its location relative to the Hilbert Circle Theater. The five o'clock reservation was suitable for a relaxing dinner prior to seeing the ISO. We enjoyed our meal and plan to visit this restaurant again.
Delicious pizza. Excellent margherita pizza. Our table was under a vent so it was quite cold.
Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. Food and drinks were very good. The seating along the window could get a little tight if all tables were being used.
We were so eager to spend an early Valentine's date out while staying nearby at The Alexander. The atmosphere wasn't quite as cool, in our opinion, as the Broad Ripple and Keystone locations. We sat by the window which was fun but incredibly drafty. My biggest "food problem" with the evening was that the salad we ordered was pretty bitter - perhaps the walnuts should've been candied or something sweet should've balanced out the bitter parts. Can't remember the name of the salad.
My other issue was that the music in the bathrooms playing was so crude. There was profanity in the rap music playing and it was only 6:45pm on a weekend. There were children dining there that evening and I found that highly inappropriate.
Our waiter was Hunter and he was excellent!
Pizza was amazing. Unique flavors and combinations.
New Years Eve
Cute place. Service was good. Pizza was good - not great.
Very cool concept for a pizza place. Our table was ready when we arrived and the food was wonderful!
Prosciutto salad ok, just prosciutto with plain greens and little cheese on top. Chop salad was incredible, and decent size. That's all I had. Recommend.
I was very impressed by how the server immediately asked if there were any food allergies at the table and then did everything throughout the meal to make sure the allergies were accommodated.
Great atmosphere with great service!
Great place to eat downtown if you are going on to a game or concert......easy in/out....on Meridian Street just one block south of the Circle with big windows facing the street...fun to people watch and to feel part of the downtown scene....however, if you are hungry, be sure to order an appetizer along with dinner and don't share a pizza, they are delicious but a little too small to split unless you also have an appetizer or salad.....!
The pizza is always outstanding. Fresh ingredients, seasonal options. We love it. It is pizza with healthier options and so much less grease. The wood oven makes the flavor outstanding. Service was excellent as well!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was great and the service excellent. While it was romantic for us, it is not cozy and intimate but a good fun place.
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. Appreciated that single stall unisex bathrooms were available. Well rounded experience here. Made a quick lunch passing through Indianapolis sophisticated.
Made a reservation before the Circle of Lights the day after Thanksgiving downtown. Excellent location and we were seated upon arrival. First time there for my 10 year old - she loved it and wants to go back :)
the Brussels sprout appetizer was amazing as was the BLT pizza with Smoking Goose bacon.. Service was great!!!
Open Table limits rsvp to party of 4. Our party of 6 made 2 reservation but when we arrived at Napolese we could not be seated together. Should increase Open Table rsvp # to 6-8.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our server was funny and attentive but remained professional, and the food and wine was perfect.
Service was mediocre while the restaurant was basically empty. I'm also not a fan of the obsurd menu items like cage free chicken and restrooms should be marked unisex instead of indicating you don't care. I prefer my food without politics or food fads that negate conventional agricultural practices.
Great food, great service. Gluten free options! Flavor not spared. Been there in a dress and heels and also in workout clothes after a run with my boyfriend :)
The music was too loud outside on the patio.
We always love eating at Napolese.
Great food, and service!
Their drinks aren't bad either !
We had goat cheese appetizer to start, it was amazing. Then shared a chopped salad, also very good (my husbands favorite) and then shared Momas pizza, the best !! Service was also outstanding. We will be back.
My wife and I have eaten at the Keystone Crossing location and both are great locations to have wood fired pizza that is simply made with simple ingredients. The waitress was also fantastic and great at conversation that was not overbearing!
The food was delicious, but watch out for those jalapeño peppers! They're very spicy!
This is a lovely place and our server was good. I'd go back again any time.
I love the chop salad. I have to find room for it every time I go. Plus, this has definitely become my favorite pizza in town. Paired with good wine, this place is a winner.
Nice relaxed atmosphere for dinner.
Large portions- there were 4 of us and we split 2 salads and 2 pizzas.
LOVED both salads- The beet/peaches and the quinoa summer. Pizzas were good as well, had a Margherita and a sausage pizza.
Waitress was ok, helpful with the wine selections.
Would go back.
Fabulous fresh flavorable salads! Great friendly staff and great service.
In many years of writing reviews, this is my first experience in which I would not recommend the restaurant. The service was formidable. The waitress was distressed we elected to sit outside, and did not show any disgression in letting us know this. She complained throughout out entire meal that she had to carry food outside. The outdoor seating was beautiful. This completely changed out dining experience. The waitress was rushed, short, cold, and utterly rude to or table. This is my first experience encountering something like this. While the food and ambiance was fine, the service completely changed our perspective of this establishment.
First time there so a bit overwhelmed by menu. We just were not sure what/how to order. Our waitress was so helpful and very patient with us. Never thought of putting items together for the salads, they were delicious. their tomato jam is just right for sweet/spicy sauce. Want to go back and try all the salads and pizzas.
The strawberry arugula salad was very good, however I should have been warned that I had to pay $4 to switch the gorgonzola cheese to goat cheese. An $18 salad is a bit ridiculous for the size.
