First time dining here as we typically stay up-valley. While we enjoyed our food , we had several problems w our waiter,, who Vp was a humorous and engaging person but who couldn’t seem to get things right.
As he brought out items we had already confirmed we hadn’t ordered, the Mgr comped us the unordered items + coffee and dessert, which were appreciated. As others noted, the single crab cake app is enjoyable but small for the cost, though the waiter said it’d serve 2-3. Our halibut entree (which came 7-10 mins after other entrees) and curry seafood platter were both well prepared and enjoyable as well, and there were plenty of heaters to support outdoor dining on a cool evening.
As several boutique wineries and farmers we visited noted, getting good help has been extremely difficult as many left the area or state during lock down or were still well paid to stay at home. We’ll return to Napkin again during a future visit and hope they’re able to get better help
Delicious food and drinks. First time here, but will definitely come back.
Great specialty cocktails and really enjoyed the outdoor dining. Our service was excellent and the food was delicious. Some of the steak dishes were a bit pricey but very good quality.
Very good food and creative cocktails. Nice outdoor dining.
The only issue we have here, when it is busy as it was on this occasion, is when we check in and say we have reservation, the hostess doesn’t ask our name. This is the 2nd time this has happened , and we feel as if we have been treated as walk ins.perhaps priority for table location to those with a reservation
The food was fine - I had the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the burger. I upgraded to truffle fries with my sandwich, and they seem to have just drizzled the fries with truffle oil while on the plate. Which means the fries were sitting in a pile of oil and so was my sandwich. My husband liked his burger, although he thought the pickled veggies were an odd touch.
The worst thing for us was the service. Our server took a while to take our order, but the food came out relatively quickly. From there, it was downhill. Our food sat on our table for a long time after we finished before someone else took it away. We were ignored for a while after that until I flagged down our server to ask for the check. He couldn’t find it, so I guess he didn’t put it in the system when he took our order? Or something else maybe? I handed my check and credit card to a different server and she said she’d hand it to our server. I waited for it to come back for me to sign, went to the bathroom after a few minutes, and when I got back our check still wasn’t back for me to sign. I asked the server if handed the check to and she apologized and said she’d look into it. It became quite clear that our server didn’t know what happened to our check, or my credit card. After getting multiple people looking for it, the server realized he’d handed my check and credit card to a different table. So now someone I don’t know had access to my credit card number.
It was a fine experience until the end, but now I’d never want to return.
Manager and staff were amazing and very accommodating. Food was delicious and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I've dined there twice outside, and would go back. The town vibe around the area is festive, there is ample room between tables to feel comfortable and extra large umbrellas for sun with heaters in the evening. The menu is comprehensive, the servers gracious and knowledgeable and the food delicious.
Have a great dinner. Restaurant was really busy due to the Memorial Weekend, yet my reservation was met and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The seafood curry was very delicious. So was their spicy cucumber margarita.
Wonderful food! We each had something different and share with one another, each dish was amazing. But the best in my humble opinion was the linguine shrimp. WOW.
This restaurant was ok. Nothing super special. We sat outside and that was about the best of it.
I always have the seafood platter, which is outstanding! Can't go wrong with this entree
We dined on the sidewalk added during the Pandemic. It's a good alternative and needed. That said, the noise for lunch with autos and construction was less than desirable. That's not the restaurant's issue and could have been just that time we were there. It's a minor and wouldn't stop me from returning.
Well, our salads came before our initial cocktails . Had to ask for bread 3 times , they’d asked , and we were celebrating an anniversary & BD, there was no acknowledgment.
Reasonable prices for Napa.
Way understaffed and they need help.
But food was good.
Staff was very friendly and food was very good
Excellent service! Juliana our hostess gave us a perfect spot for our group and Jay was very attentive. He works hard and loves what he’s doing. We’ll definitely come back to this Napa place
The food was pretty good. Ordered the wings and crab cake. The Crab cake was tasty and had sat on a bed of blended greens. We sat inside, ambiance was a bar-like vibe. Next time I would possibly prefer outdoors.
Wonderful service, great location and fun times here. Would love to eat here again!
Nice variety of food. Great waitstaff - Jasmine was excellent.
We arrived in the in between service time which we were told upon arrival that there may be a slight wait in ordering since kitchen is switching from breakfast/lunch to dinner. Having spent the past 25yrs+ in fine dining I found it odd for the hostess to say that? We chose to sit inside and our server was wonderful. She immediately greeted us and asked if we would like to order from the bar and to get a appetizer started. We both ordered margaritas that were excellent the pineapple ginger and the lychee margarita. The appetizer was the Tomato Burrata Pancetta Arugula Salad presentation and taste delicious.Because the portions were large from viewing other entrees being served we shared the Shrimp Scampi and two side orders Truffle Fries and the Mac n Cheese. Everything was delicious and of course we had food left over to bring home :) we ordered two desserts as well. The lemon cheese cake and the Breadz Pudding. Our server was wonderful even when it became busy she continued to check in on us. Overall we will come back, good comfort food, excellent cocktails and wonderful service.
Had casual lunch with my Step-father. He had crab cake, fried chicken sandwich, pisco sour. He must have liked it all cause he ate everything. I had a salad with salmon filet added. Salad was very fresh. Our server and host were very nice, and everyone else attentive. The only mishap was that my salad arrived without dressing. Perhaps cause I asked for it on the side it did not arrive with meal. Small mistake to the overall experience. Will be back when looking for a nice but also relaxed vibe to have a bite or cocktails,
We had lunch and the food was pretty average. Nothing creative or unique. The service was fine. Not bad but not memorable either. All the standard needs were met..
The service was a little slow in acknowledging us and offering a cocktail but once she was there she was on top of everything. The food was great. The shrimp pasta was on the money. I shared with my partner, BIG MISTAKE. It was so good I would have stuffed myself and deemed it a reasonable price to pay.
Great meal and service
Ordered 2 Filets medium rare for our party and both came out well done. They took back and brought two more but in this case rare rather than medium rare. Short ribs were great. Rib-eye was cold. Fortunately took some off bill. Seems like an inexperienced chef? Service, however, was fine.
I can't believe I forget to take pictures. BUT I got their "Fume" drink.....AMAZING smokey container with a very flavorful drink. Our waiter Isaac was just great....personality and service. I got the filet Oscar and the wife got the short ribs. Both we so good ....one of the best meals we had in Napa I will admit.
We were looking for breakfast/brunch on a Tuesday. Open Table suggested Napkins Bar & Grill. The menu link displayed several breakfast items like eggs & omelettes with regular menu. It did NOT state that these items are only available on the weekend. Had 11:00 reservation and were disappointed to have to order from lunch menu. Other than that, food & service were good. Just please be more clear on your menu limitations.
I had the halibut. It was cooked perfectly, had plenty of flavor especially when dredged through the accompanying sauce. Ceasar salad good too.
Best service we have had in 3 weeks of eating out besides the service at Cole's Chop House.
Waitress DeDe was wonderful.
Excellent location, great food and service. Well definitely go again.
Great Restaurant will definitely go back
Good food, nice service great location, just overpriced, 1 crab cake for $18, it was a good crab cake but for $18 there should have been 2. Good wine selection
I thought everything was good. I enjoyed the food, the great service, and the nice ambience.
Good place. Great location. Food is not bad. The mango mimosa was great.
We love the entertainment here.
The filet minion with oscar sauce was one of the best I’ve ever had. I would love to return to Napkins on future visits!
We met some friends here. Food and drinks just ok. Drinks are pre-blended so no changes
The food was good but it took FOREVER. Not sure if they are short-staffed but something was going on in the kitchen. Also our friends asked for a breadbasket and they brought out hamburger buns sliced into strips...
We stopped by while wine tasting and it was pretty quiet considering it was late afternoon. The service was amazing, our server Jay was entertaining and funny! The food was delicious and every bite was perfect.
went for mother’s day. I’ve been here before but for some reason the food just didn’t taste the same as the first time
