Napkins Bar and Grill
Come often, always a great experience. Came out for brunch with friends of out of town. This usually is my go to spot. Can’t miss.
Get the endless Mimosa there are like 5 different flavors try them all and enjoy
Love this place! The drinks are delicious! Perfect for family, friends or any get together.
Napkins is my Sun brunch spot when I am in town. Livelier crowd during football season with a mix of locals and tourists.
Made reservations on October 1st and thank god I called on the day (October 26) because we were NOT on their list! Asked in comments on reservations for a window table. Seated at a tiny table not near a window. Husbands salmon salty. Calamari appetizer had more hot peppers, lemons and other vegetables than calamari. Waitress was nice but too busy for us. Had to wait for wine. Will probably find another restaurant to share our money with.
This place can get quite noisy as it fills up. Only a few beers on tap … yes I know we're in Napa, but after wine all day, a beer with a meal might be in order, sooooooooooooooo 'beef up' the draft beer selection. Wine list is quite good and the food is very good. Some wait staff are hard to understand.
Stopped in for lunch. Very pleasant. Nice service. Good food. Would return.
Food was great, but everything about the service was SLIW. Took 15 minutes to get cocktails!
Great service, varied menu, generous portions... overall a pleasant evening!
Had a date night at Napkins on a Saturday night. Service was great. Food however was underwhelming. I ordered the bbq ribs accompanied by cornbread and Cole slaw. Ribs were great nice flavor but dry. My partner ordered the Wagyu sandwich. The sandwich was oily, dense and the wagyu was overcooked. The Wagyu sandwich could definitely be better, would not recommend. The bread pudding desert definitely 10/10.
It was so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think. That coupled with mediocre food (albeit excellence service) means we won’t be back.
Great food and friendly service. Outside tables are great for people watching since the location is smack in the middle of Napa. All the food was tasty and good portions.
Excellent food and great customer service!!
Baby back ribs were delicious! Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Food great. Service also great. Noise level was deafening 🤪🤪🤪
Our first time at Napkins. We will return. The cocktails were unique and tasty. Our appetizer, queso fundido, was so good. We shared a large Caesar salad. Very good. I had the seafood plate with salmon, mussels and clams! Delish. I love the curry sauce. No big mound of rice which I appreciated. Some tasty garlic bread in lieu of rice. My fiancé had the fresh swordfish. Terrific. Our server, Jasmine, was a pro. Attentive, not hovering. A great place and just a couple blocks from the Uptown Theatre which was our destination.
As usual, amazing staff and delicious food
Great outdoor seating with great service. Salads and entrees were loved by all great calamari
Delicious food and good service in a busy restaurant.
Amazing experience! Definitely recommend -
You can do a lot better in Napa! The food tasted like something you would get at a hotel banquet dinner. And the whole experience was rushed leading me to believe they pre make dishes and send out when it’s your turn. Go somewhere else!
Short ribs were fatty. Felt a bit rushed through dinner. Then had to ask for check twice. Overall very good.
Had low expectations because of a groupon, left incredibly surprised with how awesome cocktails and food were. If this place was back back home, it could easily be my go-to.
Our waiter Ricardo AMAZING!!!!
Great food, great service. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was very flavorful and the portions were nice.
This was our first time and we really enjoyed it. It was really nice to sit outside. Tried the "What the Fig" cocktail because it sounded interesting and was really creative. It was a great start to a delicious dinner. Debated on a few entrees but went with their chicken they are known for. It did not disappoint. Would have jumped into their dessert menu but exercised some self restraint. Service was spectacular! We look forward to coming back.
Everything was much better than expected. Our waitress was over the top with kindness. Not only did she have knowledge about Napkins but her directions of Napa and the surroundings were exceptional. I will definitely will return to this hidden oasis.
Food was great and great location to enjoy the downtown Napa atmosphere!
We had a fabulous experience at Napkins. We reserved outdoor seating so we could hear music from Napa City Nights and the weather was perfect. Our server was very attentive and efficient. The food was amazing and the portions were hearty. We will definitely be back!
My friend & I went here for the first time on July 4th. Things were hectic, but the staff keep their cool & everyone was helping out where ever needed. The food was excellent & arrived quickly given the very busy night.
Will definitely go again!
Food was good. Service was subpar. However, it was July 4th and they were very busy with a line out the door. Bread arrived just before dessert.
Great casual dining by the Napa riverfront. Friendly staff, great overall experience!
This is always our favorite place. We go every Sunday, unless we're out of town. Love, love, love the food and everyone that works there. Super Place!
Excellent service; nice atmosphere;
The restaurant is fine to have a drink at the bar or sit outside. The food I did not like at all, the wellington vegetarian option was disappointed the dish was cold and the vegetables were not cooked. My husband's chicken dish with mashed potatoes was not fresh. The beer was hot and they did not have cold glasses to serve it. Or we chose bad day to visit the "restaurant" or the restaurant is not good ... Well disappointed.
We politely changed our reservation of outdoor seating to indoor seating per staff request when we arrived 15 minutes prior to check in time at the restaurant then were re -seated upon being seated indoors to accommodate a larger party. The server did his best not to rush us out. We were rushed. The food was good. My company and I were on a breakfast brunch adventure that month preferred an old place in Sonoma and our preferred was a place in American Canyon.
The food is AMAZING! The cornbread with honey butter and mac and cheese sides are the best thing you will ever put in your mouth. Our waiter David Seldon was very attentive, wonderful, and sweet.
One of my fav go-to places, whether business clients, family in town, long lunch or taking friends out. This place is an easy choice. As a Year End Dinner for the Officers in our non-profit, I was excited to share this spot. Because of our "larger party" (7), we were in a back room. Great to keep the "noise to a low roar, but it also kind of took away from the ambiance and it was HOT. With no AC on a very warm evening, we left before dessert. The staff was all wonderful, noting they felt poorly for our heated space, food was top notch, the ladies all enjoyed their meal and we will be back!
Food was average, service was very good.
This is our favorite restaurant. We go there almost every Sunday for brunch. It has a beautiful decor and everyone treats us like family. The atmosphere is delightful and on Sundays they usually have a musician playing a guitar and singing favorites. The food is consistently excellent. My favorite is their ham and cheese omelet and I ask for a side of pico de gallo (chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, with lime juice) and sour cream. It comes with wonderful potatoes, grilled onions and bell peppers. I also get a warm bagel with cream cheese. I end up eating half my breakfast and save the other half for leftovers that evening.
I've also eaten there for dinner and the food is always the best. Their salmon is perfect! I'm hooked on Napkins and I've never had a bad meal there. You can also bring your pets and sit outside in their sidewalk seating.
