Napa Valley Bistro
AND AFFORDABLE! Our food is elevated bistro-style American cuisine, and our wine list compliments our menu by focusing on Napa Valley vintners.
Service was slow and scallops were lukewarm. A mere "schmear" of potatoes-thought it was guacamole at first. Noise - what is "energetic"?? It was LOUD - couldn't hear my dining companion nor he I. Thought coming before 7:00 would help. Restaurants need to pay attention to increasing diner dissatisfaction with noise levels approaching that of a factory. Shame!! However, we love the Bistro and will be back.
Tasty food that was artfully presented. The fish was fresh and well prepared. Vegetarian options were a plus. The wine list is limited, but the selections were well chosen. We enjoyed an Andretti Sangiovese that was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Our favorite restaurant in Napa. The food is consistently excellent in terms of selection, presentation, and taste.
Food was pretty good but the server was slow (albeit very friendly).
Had a salad and it was pretty bland. Too bad
Eh it was alright nothing great. Good Cesar but entrees were under seasoned. It look liked most of the cliental was over 50 so Im guessing thats probably the reason. Bill came out to 119 before tip with 2 apps and 2 entrees and a half bottle of sparking. Kinda felt like I over paid for something not worth that amount.
Nice location. Decent menu. Good service. But....$12 for a caeser salad that was nothing more than some lettuce, 3 croutons, and some shaved Parmesan cheese is a bit much.
Limited bar menu. No hard liquor.
Fish and chips was mediocre, breading was tasteless and thick. The waiter was inattentive only came to our table to take our order and to deliver the check.
We were in a hurry to get to a Concert and the server was great at accommodating us. The food was excellent and wine list was solid as you would expect in Napa.
Food was exceptional and at a very reasonable rate. The presentation of the food was as eye catching as the flavor was enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely dine here again.
This was our first visit and enjoyed our lunch very much. The staff was very congenial, helpful and attentive. Our meals were all delicious. No corkage fee is a plus as well as good nearby parking. Will return.
Excellent service, as always. Great affordable wine list, consistently great food.
Delicious food and great service!
A local neighborhood favorite of ours. Sea bass cakes were delicious as was the special appetizer of a dungeness crab flatbread. Halibut ceviche was perfect and plentiful.
excellent food and service - we were a large party of 12 - 7 adults and 5 kids. Everyone had a great time!
Diverse menu. Great salads. Large salad is plenty for lunch.
Service was not up to normal. Noise level was very high. Food was fabulous!
It wouldn’t be my go to place as a recommendation. I’m a local and have tried them twice. The first time was just for happy hour with food and drinks at the bar, so we figured the menu looked good for dinner so why not take some friends... After experiencing dinner, I’ll say the food is good, BUT not the greatest here in the valley. We had to send an appetizer back for a re-fire because it was over cooked (calamari). Our waiter wasn’t as attentive as other restaurants we’ve been to and actually messed up splitting up our bill. He just seemed frazzled. The drinks are good, but I don’t think the quality of food necessarily holds up to some of the pricing compared to other fine dining establishments in the area.
Great local option in Napa with inventive preparations on many menu items,
We enjoyed lunch at the bar (our preferred seating). The Lamb Burger and Fish and Chips were both excellent. No corkage fee is a nice bonus.
We were seated immediately but service was slow - our server was working hard, but they seemed understaffed for the number of tables. We ordered a bottle of champagne, which we finished and we were never asked if we wanted more. Food was excellent but once served, no one checked on us again. We had asked for more water and never received it. So great food, slow service.
Service was not great; waiter was super inattentive and, specifically, made an insulting remark to a person who is gender non conforming. I would not recommend as an inclusive venue.
Food was just ok; certainly not worth not being treated well.
We had a great experience at this restaurant. Came for lunch on Saturday with a group of six during Bottle Rock weekend thinking it would be crazy busy but it was not. Everything was excellent - the service was impeccable and friendly; the food was unique and flavorful. Would definitely return next time I’m in Napa.
The cheese plate, ceviche, scallops, risotto and crab salad were all excellent.... killer bottle of Hess Cabernet and great service!
Casual but upscale bistro with very friendly servers. Brunch menu was varied snd meals were served promptly. The French Toast was delicious.
Service was very slow it seemed that the restaurant was under staffed. The waitress was also the bartender.
We eat here regularly and were pleased to celebrate Mother's Day here. We love the chef's creativity and overall it's a fantastic experience. My husband ordered the filet it was very sinewy, usually we get a better cut. I had the risotto and it was well done. The staff are very friendly!! We will be back.
Everything was good expect forgetting to write happy anniversary on our desert plate that was requested.
Maria, new waitress was very sweet, efficient and went overboard to meet every need. Fish and Chips are the best in town.
I really want to love this place. The menu is great, the food was great, and I liked our servers. Until.... we were still sitting and enjoying our dessert and they decided to start clearing our wine and water glasses, and kept trying to usher us out of our table. I totally get wanting to turn a table, but it really left us with a sour feeling, especially given that there was no one waiting in the lobby. I would like to give it a try again, but I'd probably not go on a Saturday night, as the noise level was SUPER loud, and I hope next time we're allowed to finish our meal without being rushed.
Good is good. Server was great! Cocktails were bad. The server was super nice about it and very accommodating. The bartender tried to be nice but it was very easy to see that she was not happy. Hindered the experience a bit.
A very yummy dinner. The filet was great!
We loved our meal here. I was with a group of 6. The service was very good, the food was great and the atmosphere was chic but casual. All in all we left feeling quite satisfied.
The maitre d was terrific
What a gentleman
Would not return. Upon arrival at 5:45 the staff started vacuuming. Only 2 other tables occupied Nice that there was no corkage fee on first bottle. Beet salad was probably best part of the dinner. Friend and I split the special/surf and turf. Filet and shrimp. Never asked us how we wanted steak cooked. We had to call the waiter back. Steak arrived as two tiny pieces on a skewer on each plate and 2 tiny shrimp on a skewer. Really ? Never seen surf and turf served on a skewer. Non descript potatoes. No bread offered.
Vegetable that I can’t remember. Worse part - no acknowledgment of the 50th anniversary! Atmosphere very cold! Very disappointed.
Two birthdays! Great dependable , one of this local’s favorites!
We had a lovely time. The food was very good. The best dish was the St Pats day corn beef dish. Very tender, not fatty and very tasty.
The staff very attentive and friendly. Food good, tasty, and fresh. Would go again
