Napa Valley Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Went here for new Years eve dinner and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing (I got ribeye and truffle fries and my boyfriend got the short ribs) and the service was pretty amazing. We did have to ask for more water, as for some reason our table kept getting passed over. We also never got any bread and saw that all the tables around us did. The bathrooms were also not very clean and did not smell very pleasant. Other than those minor details, we had a great experience and tremendous food, the no corkage fee was also quite nice. I hope to get here for brunch/lunch sometime.
Came here for lunch last week and the service and food was great. Came tonight for dinner and it seemed they were short staffed as our table suffered with slow service and cold food. Neither the Manager nor our server came by to check on me once they replaced the cold part of my dish.
Always enjoy NVB at the end of our wine country day, as the food is always great, the service is always great and the noise level is just right. I love how inventive their wine list is; their wines by the glass are terrific and they always have new wines to try (and love). The staff is terrific and the timing of their service is great. Parking is easy because it's not quite in the craziness of the other shops and restaurants "downtown".
PS The Wine Tasting shop across the street is also terrific.
This was a great find! We were visiting from out of town and when I was researching some restaurants for my anniversary dinner I found their menu on line and was excited to go try it. Then a local person working at Viansa, said that she and her father love this place. We went and were not disappointed. Great tasting food, creative presentation and warm atmosphere. The staff was attentive and the owner or manager was engaging with the patrons making sure they were well taken care of as I am sure you will be as well. We had to evacuate the next night due to the fire but will make sure we come back soon to help support this little restaurant and it's community.
We were very disappointed with our dining experience at the Bistro. Though we were seated right away at our reservation time, our table for six was a folding table hidden by a tablecloth but with very awkwardly placed table legs. Both the white and red sangria drink specials were watery and weak. Those in our group who ordered steak were disappointed in the quality. My husband ordered a seasonal chicken and dumpling entree but was served a different chicken dish and when he questioned it had a waiter who argued with him about what it was. The restaurant was very loud and made conversation at our table challenging. We declined dessert because we were so ready to leave.
Wow, very pleased with this choice for lunch! We found Napa Valley Bistro on Open Table and went over for a quick lunch. The food was fantastic: we started with the Empanada's--huge flavor, not over the top spicy. We followed that with the sandwich special which was a grilled heirloom tomato, bacon, manchego cheese on Sour Dough. Fantastic meal. The server was excellent, and friendly. We highly recommend the Napa Valley Bistro for foodies and hungry people, portions were large (wife and I shared our plates).
I booked this restaurant based on previous Yelpers reviews and I was not disappointed.
We had an attentive waiter who told us the specials for the day (wish I took his hints) and
gave us excellent service.
The restaurant is located in Downtown Napa. It is classy, clean and the menu offers
many options. The waffle and chicken special was divine, unlike the crab hash. It was
sort of tasteless, although the crab was fresh and not canned. One guest enjoyed
the steak/egg combination. Another devoured the beef burger, stating over and over
again how juicy it was.
I would recommend this restaurant, excellent!
Turned out to be a great find! Very good value for the quality of food especially in Napa Valley where restaurant prices can get very high quickly! We would eat there again and recommend it to friends. The only downfall would be the acoustics in the restaurant make for a loud dinner, especially if there are groups.
Wow! Everything we had was delicious. I had a half order of the dungenous crab Louis and my husband had the lamb burger with house made potato chips. Excellent! And nice to have the option of half - order sizes for all the salads. I especially liked the cider from England- tasted like a dry champagne. We are returning as soon as we can find a mutual date with our friends. The only minus is that I really don't like bench seating along the wall that many of these new restaurants have. I would prefer to sit in a real chair.
a gastronomic experience that we cannot wait to try again! super fresh and delicious. the watermelon and burrata salad was such a twist of flavors that went together so interestingly. the crab cakes were moist with a seasonal infusion of sweet corn. the scallops are always one of my favorites and my hubby's pork chop with the scalloped sweet potato and potato au gratin were outstanding!
This is our go to favorite. Everything is always perfect and the hospitality is always spot on. This time the St Louis Ribs and the Kobe flat iron steak were the main attractions. We always get the sweet potato fries because they're simply the best in the valley! Crispy and delicious! Oh and start off with the calamari. And the Goosecross rose.... Okay, everything is wonderful.
