We were looking for something last minute and stumbled into the Napa Valley Bistro. What a fantastic find. Service was great, the people and food were amazing. A must do! We’ll go back before vacation is over.

Amazing food - seriously amazing! Ahi was perfect - salmon was cooked just right - and risotto hit the spot. Exceeded expectation!

Food was good. Service was good. It's an open room so noise level was high. Would recommend though

This was a great find! We were visiting from out of town and when I was researching some restaurants for my anniversary dinner I found their menu on line and was excited to go try it. Then a local person working at Viansa, said that she and her father love this place. We went and were not disappointed. Great tasting food, creative presentation and warm atmosphere. The staff was attentive and the owner or manager was engaging with the patrons making sure they were well taken care of as I am sure you will be as well. We had to evacuate the next night due to the fire but will make sure we come back soon to help support this little restaurant and it's community.

We were very disappointed with our dining experience at the Bistro. Though we were seated right away at our reservation time, our table for six was a folding table hidden by a tablecloth but with very awkwardly placed table legs. Both the white and red sangria drink specials were watery and weak. Those in our group who ordered steak were disappointed in the quality. My husband ordered a seasonal chicken and dumpling entree but was served a different chicken dish and when he questioned it had a waiter who argued with him about what it was. The restaurant was very loud and made conversation at our table challenging. We declined dessert because we were so ready to leave.

We rate Napa Valley Bistro as consistently excellent in food and service. This time we were there on the first evening of their Octoberfest menu.

Delicious food and wine. We were seated right away. Did not feel rushed in any way to finish our meal. We had a young waiter who was not the most knowledgeable about the wine however he had a good sense of humor and rolled with it very well. Fun evening.

Wow, very pleased with this choice for lunch! We found Napa Valley Bistro on Open Table and went over for a quick lunch. The food was fantastic: we started with the Empanada's--huge flavor, not over the top spicy. We followed that with the sandwich special which was a grilled heirloom tomato, bacon, manchego cheese on Sour Dough. Fantastic meal. The server was excellent, and friendly. We highly recommend the Napa Valley Bistro for foodies and hungry people, portions were large (wife and I shared our plates).

I booked this restaurant based on previous Yelpers reviews and I was not disappointed.
We had an attentive waiter who told us the specials for the day (wish I took his hints) and
gave us excellent service.

The restaurant is located in Downtown Napa. It is classy, clean and the menu offers
many options. The waffle and chicken special was divine, unlike the crab hash. It was
sort of tasteless, although the crab was fresh and not canned. One guest enjoyed
the steak/egg combination. Another devoured the beef burger, stating over and over
again how juicy it was.

I would recommend this restaurant, excellent!

Turned out to be a great find! Very good value for the quality of food especially in Napa Valley where restaurant prices can get very high quickly! We would eat there again and recommend it to friends. The only downfall would be the acoustics in the restaurant make for a loud dinner, especially if there are groups.

Wow! Everything we had was delicious. I had a half order of the dungenous crab Louis and my husband had the lamb burger with house made potato chips. Excellent! And nice to have the option of half - order sizes for all the salads. I especially liked the cider from England- tasted like a dry champagne. We are returning as soon as we can find a mutual date with our friends. The only minus is that I really don't like bench seating along the wall that many of these new restaurants have. I would prefer to sit in a real chair.

a gastronomic experience that we cannot wait to try again! super fresh and delicious. the watermelon and burrata salad was such a twist of flavors that went together so interestingly. the crab cakes were moist with a seasonal infusion of sweet corn. the scallops are always one of my favorites and my hubby's pork chop with the scalloped sweet potato and potato au gratin were outstanding!

This is our go to favorite. Everything is always perfect and the hospitality is always spot on. This time the St Louis Ribs and the Kobe flat iron steak were the main attractions. We always get the sweet potato fries because they're simply the best in the valley! Crispy and delicious! Oh and start off with the calamari. And the Goosecross rose.... Okay, everything is wonderful.

My son & I was in town for a Race. Found the listing on Open Table and made a reservation for 6:00 Got there at 5:00 and ask about sitting at the bar and the hostess took us straight to a table and said "Please enjoy your evening". Very friendly, left us to order slowly and take our time. General Manager stopped by to make sure everything was great. Food was great and out evening was better stopping at this restaurant. Five stars.

Maybe we caught the restaurant on an off night. Restaurant is in a great location and very nice inside; however, they seemed understaffed when we were there. We started with the lobster bisque and crab cake. We had to send the crab cake back because it was cold. They were very nice about it and quickly replaced it with a hot one but it lacked flavor. It took a while but once we tracked someone down to give us spoons, we had the bisque. It didn't have any hint of lobster flavor but was still nice. For dinner we had the vegetable risotto and the halibut. Both were good. The halibut was definitely the star of the evening.

My wife and I have been looking at this restaurant for a while, so we gave it a shot. We enjoy simple American classic food. The ambience was ok. Although I did not care for the decor and style. Is it casual or casual/formal? The service however was excellent, they do take care of their guests. The food was good, but lack in flavor and they plates presentation was not impressive. The portions are sufficient to fill you up.

Excellent food and service. We chose the Bistro because the online menu showed descriptions of food people actually enjoy eating, as oppose to so many Napa restaurants whose offerings were very eclectic, or overly trendy. Staff worked together very well, and really enjoyed our meal. Merlot Sorbet, very memorable.

Overall, it was a good experience. However, ask for a low traffic area to eat. We were at the table right in front of where the servers congregate. Also do not order the 2002 wine. It was decent, but tons of sediment - maybe this is normal for a 15 year old wine. Other then that, the food was very good and the restaurant was very nice. But it was a bit loud for my taste.

One of our favorite places & it never disappoints.
The food is beyond amazing & the staff is so friendly & attentive.
Alissa helped us tonight & she was as pleasant & efficient as can be. The manager came over a couple of times to say hello & see if we needed anything. Also a super nice guy.
We just can't say enough great things about this restaurant & are always recommending it to our family & friends.
It is right down the street from our house & a major gem.
