Napa Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We had a noon reservation and due to holiday parties it was overcrowded and we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Not pleased. HOWEVER once table ready hostess made sure we had
Immediate service and food came out quickly. Her attitude helped immensely and we were able to meet deadline to return to work.
We had an amazing holiday dinner / girls' night out on Monday night. The food was incredible - from appetizers (try the soups and the wedge salad) to the tasty entrees to the dessert (OMG - leave room for dessert!) We had fabulous service and just enjoyed the cozy atmosphere! Going back this week for lunch! Such a local gem!
The food here is simply wonderful. I had the lamb tenderloin special and it was fantastic, as were the lentil and sausage soup with homemade bread. The scallop entree which is a standard was also delicious. The entree portions are not massive, but certainly large enough. The staff is also very friendly. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. I went for my birthday and they added some festive decoration to the table as well as printing Happy Birthday on the menu. However, at the price point for this restaurant I would expect a patron should get a small dessert or a glass of wine on the house. This is standard at similar restaurants. However, I do recommend for foodies and anyone that likes a well prepared meal. I suspect the kitchen could easily accommodate a vegetarian or vegan.
Had a rare date night, have three kids, dinner and wanted something different in the area. Had heard good things about this spot and it was better than expected. Ambiance was casual, server was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and the food outstanding! We ordered a half bottle of Pinot noir, Patricia Green, and was fantastic! The bread, the appetizer of duck confit, my filet, and my wife’s pork chop was cooked and presented with perfection! We will be back hopefully sooner than later.
Monday night dinner with wife. It had been a long long time since we had been there. Great atmosphere. Parking on that night was easy. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and outgoing. It was nice to meet the owner.
We both had the tuna which we both liked. I had butternut squash soup which was very good along with a grilled romaine salad.
Waiter was very knowledgeable- obviously very experienced and made you feel he genuinely cared.
Prices were very reasonable. Just about every entree was under $30.
My husband received a gift certificate to Napa Cafe & we decided to cash it in. We are so glad we did! We now have a new favorite restaurant! The restaurant was quiet...could actually carry on a conversation. The ambiance was very nice for a date...we were seated in a quiet little romantic room that was so cozy. However, the set up in the room was awkward for the waiter (he had to constantly bend over to keep from hitting his head on the lights). The waiter could not have been better...professional, personal, knowledgeable & provided excellent service. We split a bottle of the restaurant's own wine & it was just perfect. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection as was my fish. The Sweet Buttermilk Pie was to die for. We cannot wait to go back!
Napa Cafe called ahead to plan a special birthday celebration. We arrived to special flowers on the table, decorative glass beads scattered on the table and the menu was personalized with a happy birthday wish! Jan was our waitress and was exceptional. Request her when you make reservations and you will not be disappointed.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
What a pleasant lunch! Napa Cafe is a great place to gather with friends. The homey atmosphere, excellent service, and creative menu combine for a top notch experience. The soup special was mushroom. I wanted to lick the bowl! Everyone at the table was pleased with her choice. We'll be back!
What a great experience from the server, to the meal and the overall experience. The salmon was great with black rice and spinach! Great wine selection and even the server was knowledgeable of what wine went with our food. The pecan ice cream dessert was great!!!
FIRECRACKER CHICKEN WITH THE CORN SUCCOTASH (Double Order): Marinated in spices and then breaded with a white gravy on top...and two sides of the corn sautéed with chopped peppers, onions, and BACON!!!
This is the BEST dish at Napa Cafe! Sadly, it is not on the menu anymore. But good news...you can order it off menu. Just call the night before coming to tell them that's what you want (you can ask when you get there, but depends on if they have everything on hand to make it)!
Entertained a client here recently with lunch and found it to be a very good place for a business lunch. Solid array of lunch options and according to my guests amazing salads. The bread was great as well and the service was perfect.
Only complaint would be that we had nats flying around our food and drinks towards the end of the meal which is a bit worrisome.
Overall, we give a B to this dining experience. The service, ambiance, and presentations of the entrees were great, but we felt the food could have been better. For our entrees, we ordered the crab cakes and the miso-marinated salmon. The crab cakes were okay, but not exceptional for a signature entree. They were a bit bland and the flavor of the crab was hidden by the binder. The corn relish was quite good. The salmon dish was diminished by a too heavily salted garlic spinach. For dessert, we ordered creme brulee. The custard was a bit too chilled, and the texture of the sugar crust was a bit mushy, as though it had been caramelized before chilling and storing. Perhaps the restaurant doesn't do its best at lunch, so we will try it again.
Mushroom some so salty it had no flavor but salt
Served a glass of Red wine that had clearly been from a previously opened bottle and had oxidized. Smelt bad and tasted awful.
I could not complain as in business meeting, but really why serve obviously gone off wine.
