Nantuckets Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Overall, our party of 4 adults enjoyed our meal and all said they would return again. The clam & scallop chowder was great, albeit a bit heavy on the seasoning (sage?) for our taste....very good taste overall just a bit strong for us with what was an untraditional chowder seasoning to us. Two of us enjoyed the boullibase entree, one the seafood pasta, and one the fish special. All entrees were generous portions, served hot, and tasted yummy. We would definitely drive back from Rehoboth just for the chowder. The desserts were also good size and delicious; the espresso chocolate mousse was the favorite of the table. The restaurant was more "upscale" than I expected, albeit I didn't review their website prior to arriving. (The couple we were with had dined there previously and recommended it to us.) Like many seafood restaurants, the meal was pricey. Overall, very good meal and service. It's on our "KEEPER" list.
We had a very nice table to celebrate a 60th birthday and the service was good. The descriptions of the entrees on the menu made our mouths water with anticipation. There was a wide selection of entrees, all priced quite high but it would be fitting if the food tasted exceptional which it did not. None of the food was “bad” but each of the entrees we ordered were bland and we thought we could make that at home. We ordered the lamb, seafood pasta dish, lobster shepherds pie, and the rockfish special. We opted to not get dessert because we were all full but the dessert menu looked very delicious.
We had dinner with friends, who had dined there several times. It was our first visit. We all had a very nice meal. The service was professional and friendly. The food was excellently prepared, attractively presented and delicious. I had the duck breast, which I highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
This year was our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We found your restaurant while staying at The Boardwalk Plaza for our 24th Wedding Anniversary and loved it.
We live near the Boston area and thought it was funny finding a restaurant called Nantucket’s on Fenwick Island.
We decided to spend our 25th here too, we got a romantic seat away from crowds...
We were pleased with atmosphere and decorations when we first came into Nantucket's. BEWARE: We told the manager that we had booked on OpenTable but as it turns out he never bothered to acknowledge the reservation on the computer so we never got our 100 points OpenTable credit (BTW-we do have our credit card receipt for our meal.) After we sat down we were given a bread basket, but there was a dead fly on one of our 'complimentary' rolls in the covered basket. I showed this to manager who ordered us another 'complimentary' basket of rolls. We expected to be offered some kind of discount on our meal for this disgusting surprise, but got none. As we left Nantucket's we mentioned this to manager and his boss but boss said "Hey, flies are everywhere this time of year", and we were not offered any refund or future discount. We won't be going back to Nantucket's. If any OpenTable members decide to risk Nantucket's, MAKE SURE that manager acknowledges OpenTable reservation (and carefully inspect your rolls!)
We had a wonderful experience at Nantucket. Mike was our server and he was very attentive . The food was excellent. I had the duck breast and my husband had the soft shell crabs. When I mad the reservation through Open Table they asked if it was a special occasion and I specified anniversary but there was no acknowledgment. I would recommend this restaurant.
Nantuckets has been a fav for us for the years we have been coming to Fenwick so it was a natural we would select it as the place to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the ambiance and wonderful food as usual, but the service was a disappointment. Our server, Jeff, started out good, but as the meal came to an end we found ourselves waiting and waiting. We could see he was busy but a 20 minute wait for our check was out of line, then he brought us someone else's check along with ours. No apology, just business as usual. No recognition of our special event even with confetti on the table or special desserts.
My mother, sister, and I dined at Nantuckets the last evening of our vacation on Fenwick Island. Our server was Suzie and she was very helpful and attentive but not overly so. We saved this restaurant for our last night of vacation because it was highly rated in its online reviews. We were very happy that we did. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend Nantuckets.
We loved every part of our meals, but especially the chowder soup and the scallop appetizer. We will visit again if nothing else to get the soup and appetizers. Don' t get me wrong the main meals were tasty and awesome, and even the desserts were fantastic. Will be the Nantucket again soon.
The food and service were wxcellent, we ate after 8:30, unfortunately the restaurant appear to allow children in at this time, unfortunately a toddler would not settle, continually cried and the mother attempted to walk the child around the restaurant to try and settle it down, not great. When you are having a quiet meal.
We went to dinner with my step-daughter and her husband. I had no problem getting a 7:15 reservation over Labor Day weekend. However when we got there, it was rather a long wait for our table --which was awkward since there really is no place to wait without being in the way of waiters. Our server was nice enough, but obviously busy since the place was packed. My husband had the duck, which he said was delicious. My step daughter had the rockfish special, which she said was very good. Her husband had the shrimp and scallops over pasta. He said it was good, but I noticed he left a lot on his plate. I ordered the soft crabs and was very disappointed. They were tough and very difficult to chew and swallow. . I think perhaps they were not cooked long enough. Usually we love the Nantucket, but my meal was not satisfactory.
