Our group went to celebrate one of our birthdays. The food and drinks were very good and the service by Brie was awesome! Especially loved the bread pudding.
Good food. Prices for the most part very reasonable. Our server was very nice but didn’t come around enough
Flora is a great server. Food and service are consistently good.
The most delicious baked cod I ever ate. So yummy. Going back again soon.
Love this place! Food, service is Great. A bit loud as there's little in the dining rooms to absorb sound.
Great food. We had fried shrimp and clams baskets. Always a good choice.
Have the Bread Pudding for dessert.
The 8$ mimosas are a steal... they come in wine glasses not champagne glasses and although the food is a little overpriced for a brunch it’s a fantastic deal and the food is good.
Nantucket never fails to deliver quality food at an affordable price. The service and servers do not miss a beat and although they are really busy during the dinner rush, they don't disappear for extended periods like some do.
Love the crab cakes but had he cod this time. It was delicious. So lucky to have this in our neighborhood.
The bread putting is the best in town
We have been long time customers, always had a very delicious dinner, and great service
A great neighborhood restaurant
Awesome first experience! Everything we tried (Mussels, Brussels, Oysters, Lobster Roll, Whole Belly Clams and Shrimp Pasta) were fantastic!
I used to work in a lobster shack and haven’t had Belly’s in years and Nantucket Reef did not disappoint!
We will be back for sure!
The fish special that I requested grilled not blackened tasted like it was baked and appeared to have grill marks pressed into it - almost like it was flattened and pressed in a panini maker. Very odd for fish that was to be freshly grilled.
We've been coming here for years, in the past service has been inconsistent, although the food is always very good. The last couple of visits, the service has been excellent! Making a great place even better. It appears that there has been a management effort to make the servvice better and it is working...
Our dining experience was stellar--an array of food for the five of us, with emphasis on fantastic seafood. And then bread pudding dessert to share -- to die for! Attentiveness of our server and
others was also great throughout our visit. Overall, a great dining experience.
Yummy. Would go again.
Nantucket Reef has been a favorite for seafood, but our last dining experience on recent Thursday evening included a nasty surprise when the bill arrived. I ordered a house brand scotch on ice. The drink was fine, but the charge was $12 for one drink. I was shocked at such a high price compared to similar restaurants we frequent in the area where an order of house scotch might cost $5 to $7. I should have questioned the server about this, but for some reason did not. I don't believe her English skills were beyond a very basic level, so perhaps she misunderstood my order. This experience, however, has influenced my view of this otherwise good restaurant. Should I decide to come back for another meal, I will be very careful to ask the price of the house brand of scotch before ordering this. Otherwise, the service was satisfactory and the food was very good.
Our server was knowledgeable and food came out quickly.
We thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience because the service was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and its hard to find good ipswich clams in this area. I highly recommend the bread pudding. The sauce was awesome and the pudding itself was very tasty. We also took advantage of the mimosas which were refreshing. Can't wait to go back!!!
I loved the main course. The appetizer was fabulous.
However, the dessert was lackluster.
The "flourless cake" wasn't what I expected... especially for $9.
It was tiny, dry, and didn't even represent a slice of cake in any way.
But otherwise, great night.
10/10 food, excellent service, and lovely/clean seating.
I don't like to write bad reviews but this place has it coming. I took my wife here for Valentine's Day and it was not a good experience. First, they jammed as many tables as possible into their small space in an obvious effort to maximize their holiday profits. Our table was so close to the surrounding tables that my wife had to get up to let other patrons in and out of their table. What happened to the fire code? Second, our table was wobbly. The bread was cold. I was served a Luke warm and flat beer from the tap. I mentioned it to the waitress and she admitted the tap has been messed up for days but failed to say anything when I ordered it. It was pretty loud but mostly because management decided to jam 100 people in a space that should only hold 30. I'm exaggerating the numbers but it was TIGHT. My food came out cold but it tasted good at least. Will probably never return here. There's better seafood in the area.
This was my second time dining at Nantucket's Reef. The first time I had a wonderful meal with great service and was impressed by the prices. This visit our service was sub-par and the food mediocre. I am not sure if we would return.
Excellent restaurant! The wait staff is excellent, they know the menu and the specials and are more than able to assist with an excellent dinner. The menu has something for everyone including children. Their beverage list has many favorites and some specials. The food arrives after yo have had an opportunity enjoy your appetizer which is a sign of a great restaurant. The hot food arrives hot and the cold food cold - you will not be disappointed. WE have mad Nantucket a regulars dinner night.
I hated the experience.
We are somewhat regulars to this establishment so readily noticed the menu update. The change was nice since it introduces some new items. My wife and I were drawn to the new artic char topped with lump crab meat, mashed potatoes, and vegetables - was absolutely delicious and plentiful. I also had a cup of the clam chowder which is always great. The only hint of any issue, was the servers 3rd day. Was pretty attentive, but service was a little slow. May have been a kitchen issue but it wasn't a busy evening and other guests seemed to be handled a little more efficiently so more likely it was the server being new. Would have been nice to have a head server or manager check in on us and would definitely recommend this for a busy evening. Any issues with service were pushed aside thanks to the excellent quality of the food however and we will be back!
Good food, great & friendly service...easy to get to, free parking plentiful,
First time visit. Would definitely return. Nice, cozy, neighborhood restaurant. Good food and good value.
Good food, pretty good price. We went for a late seating so pretty quiet, maybe 4 other couples. Would be a good place to take kids as lots of space and seemed like it would work well with bigger parties. Overall a good expereince. Would recommend.
This was our first time, and we were very happy with our evening! The food was very good. The service was great. We will be back!
Great food, service and overall experience. We will be back!
Fantastic!!! Amazing gluten free crab cakes!!!!
Food continues to be excellent and service outstanding. Wish they would go back to the old menu.
We were attracted to Nantucket's Reef because of its nautical motif, convenient location, and appetizing menu. We enjoyed the tasty food, excellent and attentive service, attractive restaurant interior with memorabilia of New England, and we could hear ourselves talk.
Fun, casual place with good seafood. Great happy hour specials, too. Plenty of free parking.
The food was outstanding. However, I had requested a substitution for my vegetable and when the food was brought out it did not have my substitution. Everyone else at the table had their food and the waitress took my entire plate away. I sat for about 10 minutes before my plate was brought back after asking for it back.
I feel that my plate should not have been taken away. The vegetables that were brought out should have remained and they should have brought me out the correct side dish order.
Had a very enjoyable experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Onion rings appetizer was light, crispy, and onions still had a firmness. Fried baskets of shrimp and fish were perfectly cooked – fried fish had a nice crisp thick batter, and shrimp had a nice crunchy thin batter. Wicked mussels without the chorizo was flavorful and tender. Crabcake sandwich was generous and tasty. Trout almondine was nicely presented and perfectly cooked, as was the rockfish special. Mashed potatoes were so good. Portions were generous, including fish tacos. Service was good, although after dinner, we had to wait for the check for too long, but that didn't impact our great meal. I hope to get back soon.
Good almondine trout and fried shrimp. Pear-a-dice drink unimpressive. Manhatten ok. Very noisy.
Great food! We all had something different and were happy with each. Ilan, our waiter, was perfect!
Decor is New England seaside, and they do have a good lobster roll (both hot and cold versions available), but the standout, in my opinion, is the fried seafood. Their batter is very light and crispy without the feeling of breading. Fried shrimp are outstanding. Grilled shrimp are also good for those who prefer healthier options. Brussel sprouts side made veggie eaters of the kids. Coleslaw is an unusual version -- a coarser dice with pickle taste and some herbs -- but tasty if you don't mind the texture.
We are always thrilled with our seafood when we eat here. The portions are generous, and the fish is prepared exactly right. It really is a hidden gem and our go to place for seafood in the area.
Food was excellent. And service was great. It was my daughter's birthday and they helped us celebrate.
