Our server was outstanding! Food was lukewarm unfortunately in spite of coming out very fast. Had to send my wife’s steak back for reheat. Probably won’t return as Durham has better alternative options

Our server Amy was friendly and excellent in answering questions and suggestions with wine pairings. My steak was perfectly cooked and amazing, Saturday night and Sunday for leftover lunch. ! I love that they keep your leftovers refrigerated until after a DPAC show!

As always, smiling, courteous and helpful begin as soon as you walk in the door at NanaSteak. The team is as pleasant as any you will experience in fine dining. Once we are seated, the cocktails and food are first rate. The steaks and fish dishes are always cooked to perfection. Leave some room for desert. It is well worth it. So, we have great food, wonderful drinks, with delightful and attentive servers to complete a wonderful dining experience. Enjoy!

Think again before going to NanaSteak for dinner/drinks before a show at DPAC. We were seated at 6:15 pm. We immediately told the waitress that we were going to an 8 pm show at DPAC, so we needed to be done with dinner at 7:45 at the latest. We told her we didn’t want to be rushed for dinner, so we put in our entire order (drinks, appetizers, and entrees) immediately. The drinks and appetizers came out within 20 minutes (that was fine). However, at 7:15 we still had no entrees. We expressed our concern to the waitress who said she would check on the order; she came back a few minutes later and said it looked like they were plating our meal and it wouldn't be much longer. At 7:35 we still had no entrees and were pretty upset by then since we had to leave in 10 minutes for the show. Note that our entrees were basic: a steak, a grilled salmon, and a salad. Just as we were preparing to leave (knowing we wouldn’t have time eat dinner) our entrees finally arrived. We only had time to eat a few bites and pay the bill. Needless to say we were angry. The manager offered to take the appetizers off the bill, box up our barely eaten dinners "to go" (we can put them in our fridge she said and you can come back to get them after the show), and a free dessert to take home in a bag as well. We declined the "to go" offers as it totally defeated the purpose of a nice dinner before a show. If a high end (expensive) restaurant like NanaSteak can’t serve dinner in a decent time frame, where customers can enjoy their meal, they should say so up front. The restaurant either needs to expand its kitchen or reduce the number of reservations it accepts. Also, they clearly give better service to larger groups. The table of 10 next to us was served well ahead of us and sat there talking for a good 30 minutes while we waited... If you’re a 4-top or less going to a show at DPAC, you’re clearly not a priority. Our meal should have been totally comped since we had 10 minutes to eat it. Ridiculous.
