Nami - Providence
The waitress offered glass of wine so we agreed o didn’t know they offered bottles otherwise we would have done that. We ordered two appetizers and three rolls. The waiter should have mentioned the rolls were larger rolls than normal. It was obscene the amount of food come out. I felt like he should have guided us and say can I make a suggestion or just a heads up.
Delicious and affordable. Highly recommend the happy hour!
My waiter was great. But the food was so so. My husband and I both felt sick later when we got home.
Excellent sushi, strong drinks, fun atmosphere.
My family of 6 had a great time here on New Years Eve! The price is a bit high but average for Federal Hill. Food was delicious and everyone was pleased, even those who did not order sushi. My husband said the steak was amazing! I split the Sushi & Sashimi for 2 with my daughter and we each had a seaweed salad as an appetizer...we were STUFFED!
Food and cocktails were great!! We didn’t get the table we had asked for. It was New Year’s Eve so they had 2 seats set up on each of the corners of the hibachi tables. It was fine for us as it was still private. Our waitress was excellent. We will definitely return!
Always a great experience. We ate at Nami before catching a show at the theater. The service was great and food was terrific. They do not have a dedicated GF menu but worked with us to order GF items. We will definitely be back.
Had an 8pm reservation for a Saturday night. We waited quite a while to get our table, as there wasn’t one available. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was slow but our waitress was lovely.
Our waitress, Mookie, was very good
Awesome vibe, beautiful restaurant. Service was top notch and food was delicious. Felt prices were great for incredible quality of food. Everything we had was so delicious!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE NAMI!!!!!!! Best Sushi in RI. Firecracker roll is FIRE!
The sushi and sashimi were very tasty and fresh!
The service here is extremely slow. Be ready to wait a long time for some to take your order for drinks and then come back 10 minutes later for your food order and the food to take a long time to come out. Clearly understaffed.
Service in the beginning was slow until they switched servers. After that everything was exceptional
If you like sushi and prefer a very Americanized experience, this place might be OK. There is loud (bad, in my opinion) American music playing. The atmosphere is just like any trying-to-be-trendy restaurant. The only thing Japanese about it is the food. Our server was nice but had no idea about any of the sake selections. I get the impression that everyone orders cocktails. The tempura and sushi were good, but we prefer a more authentic Japanese restaurant where you can actually have a conversation and enjoy a calm atmosphere. Plus, some knowledge of the menu on the part of staff would be great. We will not return.
Sushi is terrible. I haven’t tried the rest, but judging for the sushi is one of the worst I have tried in my life.
Great as always.
LOVE Nami sushi! Firecracker roll is amazing! They never disappoint.
The service received was fantastic. Was very attentive to us and provided excellent recommendations. Overall great dining experience and is among my top 3 favorite places for sushi in RI
Food--taste/freshness and creativity of chef's sushi special -- and selection of liquor/sakes excellent. Ambiance contemporary and upscale. In main spaces, noise level very high and lackadaisical on accommodating disabilities. Private room for large groups is quiet and comfortable.
High School Graduation
We went here after my brother's graduation to celebrate. We were lucky this place had an opening! The food was delicious. I loved the set of sushi rolls we ordered. The calamari appetizer was delicious as well. The seaweed salad isn't the best I've had, but not the worst either. Another highlight would be the fried rice. No complaints about this dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Excellent sushi! Fresh and fun rolls. Great service. Will definitely visit again.
The food was excellent. My friends and I all received free shots for my friends birthday! The value seemed expensive but you for sure got your money’s worth.
The restaurant was very empty yet all of our food came at different times for our group. It took over an hour for my two sushi rolls to come out.
I would not come back.
I had a great time on Sunday. It was not crowded as we did have experience last time we were there. The food was fresh and delicious. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for sushi in RI except this place. My waiter was very nice and helpful.
Great food, great atmosphere the drinks are minuscule.
Very good sushi. I highly recommend it!!!!!!
great food great prices! food came fast and service was great as well.
We ordered bento lunch meals. The salad had nice leafy greens, but the ginger dressing was ordinary at best. The bento boxes arrived, but instead of the traditional compartmentalized "lacquered boxes," they were served on platters. The teriyaki chicken and salmon were okay, if perhaps a shade overcooked. Gyoza dumplings, Crab Rangoon, and Harumaki (spring rolls) were tasty but uninspired. All in all, I would say that Nami's offering was a fairly ordinary and rather Americanized Japanese meal.
We went to Nami before a show 4/2/19. The food was exceptional, very fresh sushi and hand rolls. The sake selection is diverse and tasty. We spent a wonderful couple of hours there. The service was attentive. Overall I would go back in a heartbeat. Enjoyed it a great deal.
The freshness of the fish is some of the best I've had. The cocktails are great, and the service is very good and polite.
Food was amazing and very reasonably priced! Sushi was fresh, service was great, and the live music was wonderful. Will definitely be returning.
I would hihghly recommend Nami! The food is superb and the drinks were also fun and exotic! We had a wonderful time!
The food is very good, but even with a reservation, you get seated 45min to 60 minutes past your reservation. They only have one valet worker, so it does take time to drop/pick up your car.
Amazing sushi- too of the line. We love the scallop habachi but probably didn’t need it. Only complaint was no habachi chef- the website has a photo of real habachi going on but was a little disappointed. Meals were expensive but food was sooooo good!
The server was great, and the food superb. My first time and I would love to go back
Came here for the first time with a friend and we absolutely loved it. Our waitress was very polite and patient with us (it took us a little while to figure out what we wanted). She made great drink and roll recommendations and made sure to check on us as needed without rushing us. The food was amazing--we started with the Nami tartare (tuna) which was to die for. We also had some edamame and a spicy crab roll which were nothing special, but good nonetheless. For special rolls, we had the Ichiban, Heartbreaker, Sunshine Dreamer and Devil Roll and they were all delicious. We came on a slower night when a snowstorm was expected so the noise level was pretty low, though it could be different on a busier night. My only suggestion would be that they offer more rolls that are topped with raw fish! There was a very limited (if any) selection on these (I think just the Rainbow roll) and coming from Boston, I always look for special rolls that are topped with raw fish.
Our evening was excellent! The food, ambiance, and service helped make our dinner a success! Huge thanks to Luis, our server, as well who took good care of us!
