Really good drinks, sushi was decent, menu has a lot of options, will be back to check-out other items.
Amazing sushi and beef negimaki, scallops were uninspired. Great service, quite noisy even early in the evening. As stated, park in the small lot right behind building, but it's not signed.
Presentation of my order was beautiful! Service was slow but the server was nice and talkative. It was a Monday evening so no ambience to speak of but will visit again.
I have eaten Japanese sushi / food IN Japan, this is not authentic Japanese food at all. It seems to be a “Asian” “inspired” place. We started with the Agedashi tofu, it was topped with some kind of sauce & the usual sauce it is normally in was in the center. I would not order it again. I tried to order sake, a Junmai Dai Ginjo, but the waitress had no idea what that was. It’s how much the rice is milled or polished, the more of the outside of the rice husk is removed, the smoother the taste. She went to the waitress area and took a screenshot of the selections, they are not listed on the menu. But even on the screenshot she took of the list on their screen, didn’t list any rice milling information, I just guessed. The guessed selection was not that good, we basically paid $30 for a cheap Geikekan style sake.
At this point, after looking around and being unsure of the idea of eating raw fish here, my wife (who is from Japan) opted to get cooked sushi. She got lobster and shrimp rolls as well as some California rolls. They were okay. I ordered the hibachi chicken. It came out cold, the chicken was dry, the sauce was unremarkable. There were some typical hibachi veggies, broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, and onions. Also a watery miso soup, and not very sticky rice, it seemed to have been made a while ago, and sat under a bowl until ordered, the outside was dry. The salad was okay, but the dressing was too sweet, it had globs of cream cheese covered in maybe cranberries? odd, and not Japanese. We wanted green tea ice cream, but they only had it fried, so that is kind of weird, we opted to not bother.
Service was okay, it was slow, it was busy though. We ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours. It is overpriced as mentioned. I don’t mind paying top prices if the food is good, but it’s just not. Too bad though, I hate leaving negative reviews. They have been here 8 years, so this is what they are and will be.
Overall, I won’t be back and would recommend skipping this place.
Outstanding meal, including drinks, apps, and hibachi entrees. High noise level, but an indication of people having a great time. Parking is limited and a challenge, but staff is very accommodating to resolve the logjam. Overall a wonderful experience for a large family gathering following the theatre.
Great food, service was very kind, and very busy, so make sure you have a reservation
It was a pleasant place.
The food, presentation and plating, and service was all excellent. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing! The sushi and sashimi were so fresh and the presentation of the dishes was so creative! Our server was extremely attentive also. I thought it was a great value for all the food and excellent service we got.
We made reservations for Nami never eating here before. Everything was great! Food, service, pumpkin pie martini was strong but yummy! Highly recommend for gathering of friends or date night.
Really great food. Sushi and sashimi were fresh, well presented and super tasty. Scallops entree was cooked perfectly and the wild mushrooms it came with were super good. Service was excellent also. A little noisy, but did not detract.
First time visited this restaurant. 5-star rating to the waitress who served us. 1 star rating parking by the restaurant and $32.00 crispy duck !!! When this dish was brought to me, I noticed that there was practically no duck meat there, and only Christy oily duck skin 🤷♀️ maybe this is only I was so lucky )))
For a party of three, we got 1 specialty roll, a hibachi entree, and a fried rice dish. It was more than enough food for the group and all was delicious. The sushi was especially fantastic. Service was knowledgeable and helpful. Some of the staff were not wearing masks (this was during peak delta variant time) which was a little annoying but otherwise it was very nice
Nicely presented sushi and good quality and value.
Galaxy roll was not a hit with us. Apple and cream cheese not for us in a roll.
Service very good with pleasant servers.
Sushi and presentation of dishes were excellent, service not so much. Waitress let us know they were out of out of uni and that she would remove it from our bill but when we checked our bill, she has not removed it so we had to inform her to please do so. Otherwise, we enjoyed our dining experience!
This place is great in terms of quality of food. But noise level can be too much, hard to keep conversation going. IMO lighting is too dim, overall would still come back.
The food was amazing. So flavorful.
