This is a 16-course prix fixe special Japanese dining experience. What is Omakase? Omakase is the Japanese tradition of letting the chef choose your dishes. The word Omakase means, "I will leave it to you." It's a fine tradition that give the chef creative freedom and the customer a memorable dining experience. ** Omakase reservations will require a $50 deposit fee per guest. ** This restaurant requires a credit card in order to make this reservation and reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee according to its cancellation policy. We did the Omakase experience for my husband’s birthday and it was amazing! The chef was really knowledgeable and explained us every course. Every dish was an explosion of flavors and the fish was so fresh it melted in our mouth. Will definitely go back!

This was our first trip to Nami. We had the Avocado Salad to start, had a Spicy Salmon roll (wrapped in Cucumber) and then two speciality rolls: The Pink Lady and the Firecracker. My wife had a glass of wine and I had the Whiskey Samurai to drink. Avocado salad = 10/10. Loved it. Cold, crisp, fresh and wonderful dressing. Huge! Share with 2-3 people maybe even 4. Spicy Salmon roll (wrapped in Cuke) = 7/10. The cuke added much-needed crunch. Topped with ginger put it to a 8/10. Pink Lady = 6/10. It needed some sort of crunch as it was just a bit mushy. Adding some ginger gave it a bit of crunch and a sweetness to move to a 7/10. Firecracker = 8/10. Excellent balance of flavors and textures. A lot going on here. Whiskey Samurai = 8/10. I don't drink a lot of whiskey drinks but this was tasty. Nice smoky undertone to it. Service = 5/10. Our waitress was busy and it showed. We wanted some more drinks and a side of ginger, and tried a few times to flag her down. She didn't check much on us. Overall I give a 8/10. We'd go back.

Dinner here never disappoints! We came for my boyfriends 30th birthday this time, and they surprised us with a candle in a dessert! The avocado salad is always a must! We like to get both the ginger dressing and sesame dressing to mix into our salad. We got too excited, and have no picture of the salad 😂 We also got thw shrimp tempura that came with tempura veggies, which were amazing! We got a few sushi rolls, and they were yummy! There were two rolls that weren't my favorite, but i think it was a texture thing since those rolls were only the fish inside. Overall a good meal, and we're looking forward to our next meal here to try more new stuff!!

Loved everything about this experience! Note that you’re seated with others who booked the same experience, which was fun for my fiancé and I. It’s fascinating to watch the painstaking care that is taken for each course, and everything was delicious. My first omakase experience, and totally worth the price.

The food is delicious. Wanted to spend our anniversary being able to chat but the noise of the other guests was outrageous. Food is very tasty but the size of the sushi rolls were so big that you needed to cut them to even put them in your mouth. I got chicken teriyaki with mixed vegetables. Chicken and sauce were amazing and the veggies were fresh and tasty. But the "mixed" veggies were broccoli, mushroom, and snowpea pods. Maybe a little variety is needed

The service was really terrible. My partner and I came in at 8:15 and left at 10, with the only things we ordered being 2 miso soups, the gyozas, and 4 classic rolls. They took really long to bring us the appetizers (which was fine, Valentine’s Day is a busy night and we were prepared for it) but the rolls took over an hour. About half an hour into the date our waitress tells us she forgot to put the food in and takes our order again (not sure if she wrote it down in the first place) and then the food pops up about another half an hour later. We were going to get dessert but at that point had been at the restaurant for two hours. Food was good, not worth waiting that long for.

Nami became our Valentine's Day splurge one year because I waited too long to reserve Gracie's and Nami was the only place that had availability. We went and loved it - the rolls were a little goopy for our taste, but it was all delicious and well prepared. We started with my favorite appetizer, yellowtail with jalapeno in ponzu sauce. Delicious as always! The better half had little fried dough balls with octopus - Takoyaki. This was very different than other versions we'd had before. Previous versions were mostly chopped octopus held together with dough and fried until the dough was cooked through. These Takoyaki were large with bigger bits of octopus and the dough was very soft - I'd say not cooked through at all. It wasn't very pleasant. This year, we were disappointed in the quality of the fish and the rolls. The two pieces of nigiri I got were so obviously pre-frozen (super white tuna was watery and mackerel was tough and spongy). And there was nothing on the rice to hold the fish to it (no wasabi, etc). We've been noticing that less care is being taken in the making of rolls for a long time - in so many local sushi places. The rolls this time held together well, but we were disappointed to find more vegetables than fish in some of our old favorites (Rainbow roll only had 2 kinds of fish and was an inside-out roll with rice on the outside rather than slices of fish and many pickled veggies inside with only some fish). Prices hadn't gone up that much, so that was a plus. I did get a beautiful peachi-tini with peach puree and peach saki - it was intensely peachy, but not too sweet - a well-balanced cocktail. Our waitress, Jerilynn (forgive the spelling if wrong) was cheerful and reasonably on top of service. There was another person who was quite attentive regarding our water glasses - for which we were grateful. If we hadn't had significantly better sushi here in previous years, this might have been a better review.

Wife and I went there for Valentines weekend. The place was nice and staff was friendly. Food was excellent! Surpassed our expectations. Started things off with calamari and crab Rangoon. Both were way above average and had their own unique taste and twist. Wife had firecracker sushi which she really loved. I had the filet mignon well done with veggies and mash, also very nicely done. We also had the shrimp fried rice. Everything was fresh and made to order! Highly recommend the place.

I hosted my daughter's 16th birthday at Nami, and everything was just amazing. Danielle, our server, was attentive and so nice! She was patient with our large party of picky teenagers.
