Our waiter was AMAZING, the food was AMAZING, can’t wait to go back
Our waiter was great, we got sat in a private area the room was beautiful and we felt very safe!
I got sushi and it was really good, my friend got hibachi steak and she said it was really good as well. It took us an hour to get our food though, and the waitress was not very attentive. It was pretty loud but I didn't mind. Has a fun atmosphere.
Sushi is amazing! Was able to make a last minute reservation on a Friday night within an hour of the reservation time! The restaurant is fairly loud overall after 9:30pm, but great service, and even better sushi. Highly recommend the Devil roll! And awesome scorpion bowls!
One of the best meals we have ever had. And we have eaten at some of the best restaurants in NYC. The Omakase platter was incredible, the crispy duck was out of this world and the Nami Salmon was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The restaurant was a little loud but the soundtrack they had chosen was classic and pleasant. We did have to wait a little bit past our reservation but it was Valentine’s Day so that is to be expected. We will definitely be back!
Over 30 minute wait even with reservation. Poor service in many aspects .
Lovely server, I think her name was Darrien, great drinks, we got an amazing sushi platter. Will be returning
Had a fabulous time (again) at Nami. We love the food and definitely the atmosphere. Their menu offers a large variety of dishes. We love the dessert too!
Justin made our experience super great! Highly recommend asking for him.
Food was good, they we’re inundated with so many people the cook was behind, we waited a while for our food, but the owner came over to apologize, and took the most expensive item off our bill..... she is vey nice....been going there for awhile now and brought friends with us who have never been there, they said they will definitely go back...
We dine out regularly and have always felt safe. This was the first time since March that I have felt high anxiety while in a public space. This restaurant had large groups of people waiting for tables within 6 inches (not feet) of us while we were eating. Many of the patrons waiting for tables were wearing their masks on their chins. When I expressed my discomfort, the host sat the people waiting, but then proceeded to allow other patrons to sit and wait right next to us. Unfortunately we ended up placing our masks back on and taking our food home.
We believe in supporting restaurants and often encourage others to dine out, however I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who has any concerns about Covid. What was supposed to be a fun night celebrating my daughter turned into a very uncomfortable one.
Always a great experience at Nami. By far the best sushi in the area and their crab rangoons are a staple for us. Great service and good distancing between us and other parties.
A bit more crowded than I would have liked, although we were spaced out well. The food was fantastic, but I think either my food contained an allergen or there was cross-contamination, because despite my requesting gluten and dairy free, I ended up in a lot of stomach pain after. Tasted great going down though, so I can’t fault for flavor or presentation. I will definitely try again, but perhaps at a less busy time or for takeout.
It was good
Amazing food average service great ambiance
Nami is a phenomenal restaurant experience. Ambiance, staff, menu item presentation are all top of the line.
Will be back soon...
Food was delicious and their playlist *chefs kiss*!
Everything was great aside from waiting an hour and a half to get our food.
Love Nami. Food and drinks all great. Wendy the owner is a wonderful host.
Food was amazing as always and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I tried the pork sliders for the first time and they were amazing!
My first visit to Nami. I sat at an inside table by the open door with a huge comfy leather chair. My waiter Edwin was a very attentive young man and checked in with me politely about 10 times during my visit. The sake selection was respectable. I ordered the organic 10 ounce Kikusui Junmai Ginjo Sake ($20), a very good medium-dry sake, not too sweet. I prefer to order sashimi with a side of brown rice ($4) instead of sushi, so I can minimize my rice consumption. The 20 piece sashimi special, priced at very modest $25 normally comes with sushi rolls. I asked if I could skip the rolls. The sushi chef was extremely accommodating with my requests. I was pleasantly surprised that the basic sashimi plate was served with three fresh scallops and two sweet shrimp (including the delicious fried top section of the shrimp), higher-priced items rarely seen on special combo plates. Tonight Nami also had uni with quail egg, well-priced at $7 each. Uni is very perishable and usually expensive. This uni was spectacular and cleverly served in a cucumber cup. The quality of the rest of the fish was very good. My dinner was delicious and relaxing. My total bill was $73, including the sake and large bottle of Pellegrino ($6). Comparable dinners at other sushi places could be closer to $100 before tip. I also spoke with Nami’s owner on the way out and complimented her on my delightful dinner. She was very gracious, grateful and hoped I would come back. I will!
I can not accurately review this restaurant as they were closed. I have no idea why they would have had availability on Open Table. My companion and I got there and the restaurant was dark. We were fortunate to get a spot at and did end up having a fabulous meal down the street at Pane e Vino and can highly recommend them though. I have heard Nami is exceptional and hope that I have the opportunity to find out for myself at some point. I will update my review then.
My experience at nami was a very pleasant one! The food was good the drinks were good and the waiter was amazing! He was very personable, funny, patient, and knowledgeable. Everything you would want in a waiter. My only complaint was that when I arrived the one guy at the host stand told me to hold on as he was typing something in but after 10 minutes still didn’t say anything. Then another lady came over & I had a reservation for 2 and when I got there I was told I had to wait for the other person to arrive first before I could be seated but a party of 8 came in right behind me, only 2 of the 8 there and they sat them right down without having to wait for the rest of their party. Then when the other half of my party arrived they told us they had to clear a table first. If I have a reservation I feel like it should already be ready and waiting when I arrive. Besides that I have no complaints. Surprisingly for a Saturday night it was slow and not over crowded. They were following all covid rules and regulations & it was an amazing dinner. I would definitely return.
Hidden gem of providence one of my favorite places in the city can’t go wrong any time you choose to go to Nami staff is always on point and food/drinks are always consistent
Everything was great, definitely do the pound cake ice cream deep fried.
Excellent service and the Sushi was delicious!!
Sat at the bar, happy to see all protocols being following. Sushi, apps and drinks were all beautifully presented and delicious!
This was our first time at Nami. Initially we were struck by how beautiful the restaurant is. The service was impeccable and the quality of sushi was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!
Our server Edwin was fantastic! Felt very comfortable with the execution of Namis covid protocols.
Got us to our table very quickly (8pm reservation) place was very busy. The service was impeccable. The Sushi was extremely fresh and delicious!!!! I have been waiting to try this place for a while.. so glad I did. Wished I had sooner...♡♡
Best sushi in Providence.
Everything was lovely. Especially the SERVICE + the music playing was a VYBE
The only complaint is the officer on duty on the corner directing traffic had his lights on the entire time while guests were there and it was visible throughout except the very back.
Overall very good. Our server was great, I wish we could remember his name! Disappointed they weren’t doing restaurant week but understand not everyone can do it in these times
The wait for two sushi rolls was over an hour. The waiter kept telling us they were backed up which made no sense because the restaurant was only half full. The sushi rolls kept falling apart. Something was off. Maybe it was a new chef 🤷🏼♀️
The food, service and restaurant are all very good. However they really need to do something about the parking situation. When it gets busy people start to double park and block each other in. They should really have a valet there to organize the lot. I’m absolutely sure people would be willing to pay for valet service. The restaurant is worth it otherwise.
I have dined at Nami before and enjoyed the experience. This last visit, however, there were flaws. My reservation wasn’t a reservation at all. The hostess said I’d have to wait 15 minutes. Then, we were given a high top table instead of the requested seating on the reservation.
I was disappointed at the temperature of the building. It was freezing. Some of the staff had the side door open and was smoking outside.
Probably the best sushi I have ever had! The drinks are amazing too
The waitress offered glass of wine so we agreed o didn’t know they offered bottles otherwise we would have done that. We ordered two appetizers and three rolls. The waiter should have mentioned the rolls were larger rolls than normal. It was obscene the amount of food come out. I felt like he should have guided us and say can I make a suggestion or just a heads up.
Delicious and affordable. Highly recommend the happy hour!
