Nai Tapas Ratings and Reviews
Loved the ambiance - fun, young vibe with a trendy twist on some classic Spanish tapas. We went with our kids (10 and 12) who LOVED the virgin sangria. We all gave that a 10. Favorites were the brussels sprouts, monkfish, gambas al ajillo. We didn't find the Fideua to be tasty at all - didn't have much flavor and was listed as one of the best things on the menu. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun place to dine.
We have been there several times, never disappointing. go there on Thursday or Saturday when the Flamenco dancers are there, its nice. its packed but still very nice.
Food and service are excellent.
If you want the tasting menu, this needs to be reserve by phone in advance.
The food was REALLY good and unique presentation for many of the tapas. Make sure to see the flamenco show, very entertaining. The place was LOUD....and the music kinda of gives you a break from all the human noise. Sangria goes down way to easily, we had two pitchers at our table of 4, one white and one red. Two hours went by before we knew it. My only complaint (other than the boisterous chatter) would be they try to cram too many people in there. I get it, NYC has limited space but the waiters kept bumping into me (I even got elbowed in the head) as they tried to reach the inside tables. Take a row of tables out and not only will it be more comfortable for your patrons, it will reduce the noise level.
We had an excellent experience here at Nai Tapas! Went to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends and did the Chefs tasting menu. (Need to tell them ahead of time with a head count, but worth it!) The food was excellent and the drink pairings were on point! The staff was wonderful, especially Raul! And they had music with flamenco dancers...so fun! We will definitely be coming back!
Amazing tapas! We ordered the sea bass aka tostada de cubina, patatas alioli, tabla de jamon, gambas al ajilo, croquetas de pollo. The sea bass was the winner of course, followed by the gambas. They had a meat plate which was also good. Will definitely be back for the Saturday flamenco and to try the other dishes!
Four of us came for dinner. We all love foods and flamenco show!
We ordered three pitchers of sangria. Two red and one blueberry/champagne. Both sangria were so goooood!
Must order sangria!
My favorite tapas were fried sardine and potato with alioli! I felt like I was in Malaga! Sardine was so fresh and juicy! I'm also big fan of alioli source! Alioli was all over the potato and so yum!
Must try them!
The service was also good! Waitress was quickly responded and full attention to our request.
My friend also love this restaurant and we all come back again🙌🏻
Amazing food, excellent service, unbelievable performance by the flamenco dancers and musicians. My siblings and I brought my mother here for her birthday - coming from an artsy family, this was the best choice we could have made! She was called out for her bday and brought up to dance - I can't explain how happy she was. Will come here many more times.
First visit. Liked how it looked, cozy feel but roomy, guests not on top of each other. The tapas we chose were quite good: chicken croquet, chorizo with onions and chicken ajillo. I liked that the portions are small so one can enjoy more than one or two of the different offerings. Only draw back is that they do not have a full bar. For those who like wine, this may be the place for you. However, I do intend to return since they do offer a few beers. The wait staff very nice and attentive.
Went on a Friday night with a reservation. Was able to get a table later than our reservation around 7:45. A few other tables were available with no wait. Food is expensive for smaller portions, but very delicious. Server recommended 3 tapas/person we ended up getting 2 and when we left we were feeling full enough. Amazing sangria!! Overall great experience, server so nice and helpful. Later in the evening it got loud so it was difficult to talk, but it made the experience more fun that it was a bustling place.
We celebrated my birthday here and had a big party of 13. They had everything ready for us at our reservation time. The food was excellent and reminded my husband and me of our trip to Spain earlier this year. The sangrias were great and our server was excellent too. He made some suggestions and substitutions for the vegetarians in our group and everyone had a nice time. I especially loved the Basque style pintxos and the ravioli.
This was a perfect way to celebrate our 25th anniversary with amazing food and service that was just as amazing as the food. They were so kind to accommodate us and we decided last minute to have a cousin join us. When we go back to New York we will certainly return
I had not eaten at Nai for a while not for any other reason than it's out of the way and not close to home. But wow. The food is amazing. Beautifully presented and lovingly prepared. The patatas ali-oli was perfect with the gambas al ajillo. And we were there on a flamenco night too! Great dancing made the evening into a special event. Highly recommended.
