The food and service were good. I'll be honest and say I went because I had a Groupon. However, there were some items on the menu that are well worth the cost, such as the fried cheese curds and the Angus burger. Both of those were quite tasty. The wings were so-so and way overpriced. They didn't even have blue cheese dressing and didn't include celery and carrots. There are a lot of creative items on the menu, and it's definitely not a restaurant you would expect to find in a hotel.
Great food but very slow service
We go there 2-3 times a summer for brunch. Food is very good. staff is friendly, service is consistent. It was packed (TravelZoo vouchers offered), but the staff and kitchen keep up with the flow of traffic. We've enjoyed each entree we're had at Nage. See you in Sept!!!
This is a restaurant which had high expectations for me based on friends' recommendations. But it didn't pan out. The Spanish Rueda wine was oxidized, both of the fish dishes were overcooked, it was disappointing. Some of the sauces were interesting and flavorful, but the basics just didn't make it.
Service was slow. Went for bottomless brunch and the waitress only came up to us once to refill our drink.
Food was cold. Fruit tasted old. Mimosa’s were on point though. Food wasn’t actually bad, just cold.
Best damn Chipotle BBQ wings in the City!! Customer service is on point too!
A little gem at the Marriott, true to its description. Had not been till a colleague suggested it for lunch. Diverse menu options available; the fish tacos were divine. Will go again when in this neighborhood.
Didn’t realize it was a hotel restaurant (Marriott Coutyard) until we got there but the service and food were very good. The greeter and severs were so helpful and personable. We had brunch and it was a southern style menu with bottomless mimosa, different flavors, nice. We shared the chicken and waffles with miniature waffles and well seasoned chicken and the killin it skillet which was a layer of truffle fries, very creamy macaroni and cheese with bacon and chorizo sausage topped with a fried egg. Definitely a good spot for brunch and will be going back.
Great experience - server was very nice
Went here for dinner and ordered the Nage seafood. Since it was a Monday (burger night) we also had the Angus burger. Both tasted great and was satisfied with the food. Tip: the Nage seafood is quite large and could be shared by two.
Had some cocktail drinks too that were good but I forgot the names. One was pineapple based and the other was primarily gin and peaches.
The location iz quaint, I had reservations which ended the day the morning greatly. The food was rather pleasant; however, they made up for it with the drinks. My partner and I closed the place down and the staff didn't even say ONE WORD, that we heard 😊 It's definitely great for hanging out! Awesome!!!
We really enjoyed our brunch at Nage, especially since we had an amazing deal through TravelZoo. Our server (wish we had remembered her name) was the highlight of our experience, although the food was great as well. Our server was enthusiastic, honest, and attentive. Highly recommend the pineapple mimosas and jerk chicken salad.
Great location. The atmosphere was really nice and the food came out in a timely manner. The drinks were strong which took away from the taste but overall it was great.
The Sea Bass special and the desert was delicious! The hostess and very attentive and pleasant.
Wonderful find - walking distance to the White House. Fun cocktails, great appetizers and wonderful shortrib dinner. The service was superb - from hostess to server - one of the nicest dining experiences we have had in DC!
Great experience! Drove down to use a coupon----didn't realize it wasn't applicable on a holiday. Server was super nice about the whole mix-up, took great care of us. I'm not even a little stressed about the coupon---We will 100000% be back again, everyone was great!
Brought my friends to brunch on Sunday and was told that the "Shrimp and Grits" were the best they've tasted in Washington, D.C.! I love the steak and eggs or chicken and waffles, however next time I come, I'm getting the shrimp and grits. The mimosas were also a hit, we tried four different flavors and the blueberry mimosa was my favorite.
Great service and food! I really enjoyed my steak and eggs. My friends got the country breakfast and crab cake benedict, they loved their dishes as well. Brunch service served bottomless mimosas, which were made to perfection. They offered 3 different mimosa flavors or bottomless bloody mary's. Brunch was delicious!
Not our first time. We enjoy that it’s always quiet with relaxing ambience and elegant decor. The menu has evolved and some offerings apparently are seasonal. Some of our favorites not available for this most recent visit but most entrees remain a constant season in or out. My husband got a sandwich, which he enjoyed. We shared peach sangria which I do not recommend- canned peaches not much else in it but their liquid and a so-so but too dry white wine. My steak was cooked properly but very fatty and a bit tough - not a high quality piece of meat for what we paid. In general compared to previous three visits I feel diminished quality and the fact that they never have more than 2-3 tables even Friday or Saturday pm means others may have come to same conclusion. Will probably try again before giving up.
Good food, good waiter, very poor hostess, Good food, good waiter, very poor hostess, Good food, good waiter, very poor hostess
It's a good place to have a great time with family and friends. What makes it all the better is the friendly outgoing personalities of the ladies who runs the show. They don't miss a step. The food is fresh, they keep the drinks coming and they give impeccable service with a smile.
The Wild Mushroom Baklava is AMAZING!!! We will be back for more!
The staff did a great job of providing good, quick service on Easter Sunday. I was really impressed with their friendliness and energy. It was a very fun experience and the food was quite good. Great job!
Server was excellent. Great sense of humor and knew his menu. Food was okay. Not as flavorful as we had hoped
Friendly staff. Tasty, unique food and cocktails. Groupon deal was great. Nice loxation.
Both of the Chicken and Salmon we ordered were very overcooked and disappointing. It seems the restaurant was understaffed on a Friday evening and the service was pretty slow.
Nice staff and great food presentation. Yummy cocktails. Wonderful Groupon deal.
Food was good but not as great as I remembered. It takes a while to get your food so might not be the best spot for work lunch. Our waitress was so great. She's personable, attentive and provided great service.
This is a typical, fair hotel restaurant. The service was very slow and inattentive. They only had one waiter and he was stretched too thin. The order of mussels was large but very spicy. I think the waiter should have warned us about how peppery the dish was. My hamburger was decent and the french fries are very good. We were using a Groupon but I would not return if I were paying full price.
Great local spot with excellent brunch and happy hour selections. Don't let the Courtyard Marriott location fool You! This is a hidden gem in DC!
A great and unexpected find! It was attached to the Courtyard which usually means a run of hte mill hotel restaurant, but Nage was delicious and well-priced! My husband and I went here for dinner and food came fast and restaurant was quiet with attentive service. The bar is minimal and seating is also conservative but the food was unique and delicious.
We love NAGE...Our new FavRes!!!
The first time we ate here was for brunch, we loved it so much we said, let's do dinner the next time? Well, we were not disappointed the least bit. When my steak arrived I immediately thought it was overcooked? Boy was I wrong, it was the best tasting steak I've had in a very long time!!! The steak itself was very flavorful, tender and seasoned masterfully. The accouterments were well portioned and tasty as well. My wife loved her beef short ribs, they too were tender, well seasoned and served with great sides. The carrot cake wasn't anything special, but the ginger snap ice cream was memorable.
Our server, Mike, was very pleasant and professional, the quality of the food is awesome and the which lead to an overall wonderful food experience. Keep doing what'cha doing, we'll certainly be back !!
very tasty food but pretty pricey. the presentation could have been nicer with the prices as high as they were.
Amazing food and services. Equally as creative as Nage in Rehoboth. Try both when your are in either of those areas!
arrived at restaurant during the week for dinner//no problem locating reservation; seated quickly//there was a large party the night we were there and only one waiter - the female at the bar assisted the waiter with bringing food out//large party plus another table of diners caused a delay in our food and drink order, even for appetizers//used gift voucher as well and no problems redeeming it//cocktails were good//food presented and tasted well.
Service very good. Food blasé no love in the cooking. Served up visually appealing yet each dish we had fell flat. Scallops in some sweet sauce were rubbery and too sweet. Clam oyster shrimp bake looked great but just was not. French onion soup was salty and brown with a few onions and melted chees... just lacked any flavor. The salad with pears was beautiful and appreciated that dish. There was no one else in the restaurant so reservations were not needed.
This is my second time to eat at Nage. During the first time, I thought the food was salty to my taste.
The second time, I thought the salad was salty to my taste. I could taste the salt.
The food was good except for the saltiness.
