Great local spot with excellent brunch and happy hour selections. Don't let the Courtyard Marriott location fool You! This is a hidden gem in DC!

A great and unexpected find! It was attached to the Courtyard which usually means a run of hte mill hotel restaurant, but Nage was delicious and well-priced! My husband and I went here for dinner and food came fast and restaurant was quiet with attentive service. The bar is minimal and seating is also conservative but the food was unique and delicious.

We love NAGE...Our new FavRes!!!
The first time we ate here was for brunch, we loved it so much we said, let's do dinner the next time? Well, we were not disappointed the least bit. When my steak arrived I immediately thought it was overcooked? Boy was I wrong, it was the best tasting steak I've had in a very long time!!! The steak itself was very flavorful, tender and seasoned masterfully. The accouterments were well portioned and tasty as well. My wife loved her beef short ribs, they too were tender, well seasoned and served with great sides. The carrot cake wasn't anything special, but the ginger snap ice cream was memorable.
Our server, Mike, was very pleasant and professional, the quality of the food is awesome and the which lead to an overall wonderful food experience. Keep doing what'cha doing, we'll certainly be back !!

Amazing food and services. Equally as creative as Nage in Rehoboth. Try both when your are in either of those areas!

arrived at restaurant during the week for dinner//no problem locating reservation; seated quickly//there was a large party the night we were there and only one waiter - the female at the bar assisted the waiter with bringing food out//large party plus another table of diners caused a delay in our food and drink order, even for appetizers//used gift voucher as well and no problems redeeming it//cocktails were good//food presented and tasted well.

Service very good. Food blasé no love in the cooking. Served up visually appealing yet each dish we had fell flat. Scallops in some sweet sauce were rubbery and too sweet. Clam oyster shrimp bake looked great but just was not. French onion soup was salty and brown with a few onions and melted chees... just lacked any flavor. The salad with pears was beautiful and appreciated that dish. There was no one else in the restaurant so reservations were not needed.

This is my second time to eat at Nage. During the first time, I thought the food was salty to my taste.

The second time, I thought the salad was salty to my taste. I could taste the salt.

The food was good except for the saltiness.

Nage is a wonderful little bistro in the Courtyard Marriott. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the services tends to be quite fast if you’re on a tight timeline for lunch. It’s also great for dinner. The cuisine is tasty with some unique dishes. My favorite for lunch is the kale salad with currants and pine nuts. I top it off with grilled shrimp for an extra charge. But the mushroom baklava, the burger, the barbecue pork sandwich are all scrumptious and I know many who have returned to the restaurant for these items.

This place is by my office. There was a Groupon available, so we decided to try it. My office mates often go to the happy hour here because it's a good deal. While this place is fine for HH, it wouldn't be worth the full price for dinner. Everything we had was fine but a little too rich, even the salad. While it was fancier, you left feeling like you'd eaten bar food.

As always, great food and service. Late lunch with a friend... very quiet... conversation easy. Server was very peppy, even after normal lunch hour... made sure we had everything for an enjoyable lunch.

While the menu and some of the food very delicious and creative we had a bad experience re “pepper”. Both the French onion soup and spinach salad with honey vinegrette were loaded with pepper; almost inedible. If you are going to deviate from traditional and listed ingredients on menu i. E. Excessive pepper that should be noted. The calamari, stuffed dates, mushroom baklava were delicious San pepper.

The restaurant is in the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and you have to enter through the hotel.

The menu has lots of great selections, including good appetizer choices. My colleague and I had the bacon wrapped dates and jalapeño hush puppies. Just enough for two to share.

For entrees, my friend had the crab cakes and had so much food, he could not finish. But he raved the next day about how good the meal was. I had the beef short ribs, which were awesome, and a side of Brussel sprouts which were just okay. I had the caramel apple ice cream which was tasty.

If you're looking for good food, it's a great restaurant so give it a try!

Hadn't been to Nage in a while. The food continues to be delicious--thoughtful and interesting taste pairings, good portions, good selection, quality and value. But the service was surprisingly substandard for what I've experienced in the past, and what you'd expect from a Marriott property. The server was nice, but lacked basic training, and a person behind the bar (a manager? hostess?) was watching videos on her phone with the volume on speaker so loud that it competed with the nice background music. It was my birthday, but we lost interest to stick around for dessert. Maybe it was just an off-day for them. I hope so, because it's an otherwise great spot.

Food was good. Nice servers. Be sure to check your reservation time against when the restaurant closes/kitchen closes, especially on the weekend. Open table let's you reserve right up until the kitchen closes.

Great food, great cocktails and great location, once I found it (I walked the wrong way!). My only complaint was checking out with a coupon--the only person to redeem it was apparently on break just as we tried closing out the bill. No worries though--I'll be back again soon.

Great food, music, ambiance and service! The young lady who was singing had a melodic voice and the service was impeccable. I really liked the vibe of the place.
