Nacional 27 Ratings and Reviews
We chose Nacional27 to celebrate a Birthday. We worked with the restaurant's special events directors, all of whom were wonderful and accommodating. Our group of 9 reserved a table at 9pm for dinner, which included a group menu that was fabulous, (shrimp and scallops and veggies on large skewers, salmon with salsa verde, chips and guac, veggies, spicy potatoes, shrimp adobo with coconut rice, etc.), and we were able to keep the table for the dancing portion of the evening. Some of our group couldn't join until later, and the staff was able to add them to a guest list and allow them to skip the line. Thank you to Nacional27 for a wonderful evening. The only thing that would have made it better (a suggestion) is if they offered a dessert on the house, since they knew it was a birthday celebration. Those are the kinds of things that make moments magical and memorable. So, if you're celebrating something special, you'll likely have to mention or ask.
The food was just mediocre. Also, we sent back one of the dishes because it was completely dry. It would've been nice if the waitress said anything or had asked how our meal was.
I had been here a couple years ago and the food was phenomenal. This recent visit makes me very unlikely to return.
Food was very good especially items on the starter and tapas lists. Loved the mini lamb tacos. The signature drink made with thyme was delicious and fun (see photo). Our server was excellent. The negative was that we were initially seated on the second tier surrounding the dance floor. We asked to move to a booth on the main level because the chairs are hard and uncomfortable and the carpeting in the area is worn, dirty and needs replacing. The tile on the main floor is dirty, as well. It had awful grout and even an old flattened wad of gum. I can’t imagine how the dining area would look with the lights up. Shame on Lettuce Entertain You for not keeping up the facility!
This was a fun dinner with good food, a delightful waiter and the best margarita I have ever had. I would recommend the jicama salad and the trio of ceviches. The guacamole was a bit spicy for my taste but the chips the best ever. Although the entrees are limited, there is enough variety to please all tastes. I will happily return.
New Year’s Eve reservation. The second we sat down first course came, then second. We were wanting to sit a while and enjoy our time together. Server dropped some glasses and next thing we knew he was gone. 17 minutes with no one until someone finally came and said he had a breakdown. We had to tell her we didn’t get our dessert yet, then didn’t get the champagne. I asked for a box to take my remaining food in, it never came. Will not return.
I did not get credit on open table for this restaurant. We arrived earlier then our reservations and never got credit for the reservation. I’m getting more and more disappointed with this site as this has happened before the front host should get it together instead of these mistakes. I will not return to this restaurant because of this. And I’m sick and tired of open table and the restaurant screwing things up.
I went here for NYE dinner. I loved the ambiance they created and the NYE decorations. The service was great-they consistently asked us how we were doing and what else we needed. The chips were hot and so tasty with the salsa and guacamole. I had the shrimp adobo with coconut rice as my entree. I am still tasting the shrimp in my mouth because it was so good. Highly recommend getting the sangria-you will not regret it!
Attentive customer service when modifying the reservation. Great cuisine even for picky eaters. Staff answered to my party questions they had about the dishes on the menu. Very good drinks from the bar. The late night club was a good closing for the dinner.
The only negative thing was that when paying for dinner, my credit card was mixed up with another one. It was fixed right away. However, the restaurant was not in a rush hour when sometimes this issue could have happened.
In general, I might say that it was a successful night.
The restaurant was darker than I thought it would be, but the phenomenal food made up for it. The shrimp adobo and their play on the elotes was to die for. I loved the presentation of skirt steak/chorizo! The coursed meal for $39 a person was perfect for our party of two, we both took food home. We will for sure be back!
The dinner was ok. Drinks - nothing special, but the worst part was when the time was getting closer for night club to start we were rushed to finish the food and pay the bill and then unpleasant lady came over with her security guards and told us to leave the table ASAP because it was bottle service only... she never even asked maybe we would be interested in bottle service, she just basically told us to get out of the table... the mood was ruined... we will never go back to this place!
Quantities of Havana Night special were extremely small, overpriced in my opinion. The dance lessons were great for beginners and will draw you closer to your partner! (Not that partners are needed!)
Great job to instructor for making a memorable night of dancing.
Attended free Wednesday evening salsa and bachata lessons. SO MUCH FUN! The instructor was excellent. We were dancing from 7:30-8:45pm and I was able to sneak back to my nearby table to sip on my (really good) sangria. Ordered the chips and salsa and enjoyed it. Sampled a friend's ceviche sampler and also thought that was very good. I will definitely be back.
I was early and they seated us right away. Waiter was excellent, food was ok. But when it turned into a dance club the rudeness started, wasnt completely done with meal and drinks and they were removing tables to open the small dance floor. Floor was over crowded and no real room to dance. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder. Dance was not a good experience
I can't wait to visit this place again. While the portions are moderate, it definitely does not miss on flavor. I prefer my sangria a little sweeter but the corn con queso and the Peruvian skirt steak with potatoes, and their extensive cocktail menu is definitely worth another visit. Our party was over a half- hour late for our reservations, they still sat us and the kitchen doesn't close until 12. They also turn into a night club at 11 pm, so it makes the perfect combination for night life dining and eating. They also have excellent quick service.
I was there on a Thursday with girlfriends for a birthday. The place was dead, there was no ambiance. We had a drink and an appetizer and left. We kept looking at the menu and nothing there was tempting. I like to look at a menu and have a hard time deciding what to order because there are a few items that I would like to choose from...Making me want to come back. The drinks were really good and fresh. We had the ceviche sampler that was good. The service we received in that short amount of time was great. This place might be happening on their salsa night or DJ night. We had to leave, we wanted to an up beat ambiance and with people in the restaurant so, I called RPM Steak and secured a reservation!
The steaks we had were tasty, but the gazpacho was nothing special. The Chimichurri sauce was much too oily altho the mole was very good. We had a nice Chilean red wine, but it was served in very small white wine glasses- a major no-no for red wine aficionados! I felt like we were at a "has been" kind of restaurant. LEYE can and should do better. We liked our server but there's really no reason to return here.
It's was a special occasion the food was amazing and the Mojitos were the best. This was our first time and we will be coming back, amazing food, great value and the best music. I don't think I will ever have a mojito anywhere else on this planet, unless I'm in Cuba 🤷🏾♂️.
This dining experience exceeded my expectations. We started with guacamole and the ceviche sampler. I enjoyed the watermelon tuna vinegrette ceviche most. We then ordered the chimichurri steak with Latin vegetables. The flavors were impeccable. The food was fresh and presented well. I made a reservation online and we were given seating on the upper level to ourselves. This was special as it was my swk and significant other. Later in the evening there were complementary salsa lessons which was entertaining to watch. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance.
Excellent service by our waiter Alex. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had a good experience. Salsa lessons on Wednesday looked like fun though we didn't participate. Wish we had known we were going to be so close to the action - would have taken table a bit farther away. Our food was very good with leftovers (corn fumdido was to die for).
I was really annoyed to arrive at the restaurant and see a sign on the door that the restaurant was closed that evening for a private party. Then why did they accept the reservation? I rated every aspect "poor" although if I had eaten there, it might have been better.
First time visiting this place and we loved it! My husband and I shared almost everything and we had a blast. We couldn't stay for dancing that night as we had a concert to attend (which was a godsend for those who did stay). :). Definitely coming back!!! Go, eat, drink, dance and live it up!!
You use to be able to count on this restaurant for great food and ambiance.
Now, neither apply. The Food was mediocre at best - even though the
waiter tried. The clientelle use to be classy - now it's so far from that, it
was awful - overall extremely disappointing.
Service was slow and it was not packed. Waited a really long time for the check. Food quality was fair. Unfortunately not as flavorful as I would have expected, skirt steak and costa rican potatoes were VERY bland. Portion sizes are small considering the price point...especially for the parallida option, definitely not enough for two people as noted on the menu.
I was not impressed by the food but the service is horrible and the managers and employees were rude. After we consumed almost $400 they came and clean our table and took 1/4 of our $60 pitcher of sangria and kicked us out. We were going to order a service (a whole bottle of tequila) and they did not wanted to give us the service with the sodas we wanted
