We had a fantastic time at Nacional 27. The food, service, and ambiance is great. I highly recommend for a date spot, and we will definitely be returning.
I love this place. Salsa dancing lessons on Wednesday night was such a fun way to have a business meeting. The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Learning to dance is a fun bonus!
Great time at Nacional 27. The service was excellent and the mojitos were off the chart!
The food was a little hit or miss. Some items were great and some were simply okay. We did the big churrascaria and I am glad we did. We were able to sample a lot of food to find out that there are good things on the menu. Thank God they let us take food home because it was a lot. We cooked our gauchos again for leftovers since it had been so rare and it was delicious. Overall though we had a great time and the service was incredible!
Drinks were great! Food could have been a little better.
Havana nights menu no longer available. Website not updated.
Kids birthday was topped off by mini cupcake with candle and ice cream. Thank you for the hospitality.
My first visit to Chicago and saw this on Open Table. I’m glad we chose it. Had a great night.
Went for our daughters 16th birthday, the service was terrible! The bus boys were more attentive than our waitress. She had zero personality. Restaurant was empty so there was no reason not to be attentive or a little bit friendly. Food was so so, not as good as it used to be.
We attended Nacional for a birthday get together. We enjoyed the food, delicious. We ordered the Brazilian course where the whole table had to get the same thing. Great variety! The only problem was that they started to dim the lights too much when it was getting close to 11pm. We still needed to see our food & finish eating. It would have been best if they had let us get seated as our party arrived & not til more than half had arrived. They were getting ready to open up the dance floor, Vida27. The dance floor is too small & the tiles outside are uneven. My friend twished her ankle because of it. The Vida27 staff was rude, telling us to move now! They needed the table, ok, but they were extremely rude. The dining staff was nice, though. I would not return because of the Vida27 staff, they have a terrible way at kicking people out at the end of the night, too. The drinks were ok, I've had better.
The food was wonderful and the service was spectacular. The dining space felt very personal and quiet, which was great for wonderful conversation and a relaxing night out to eat.
I have not been there in many years but my wife and daughter go there often when we visit, love the creativity of the chef, miss the best crème brûlée on earth from the first time, coconut crème brûlée is not on the menu!
Beautiful venue and amazing food. I do not recommend the sangria whatsoever. It was basically over crowded fruit punch. Way way too much ice in the drinks, weakens them. I did shots for the rest of the night.
The ambiance was really nice. The waitress was very attentive and checked on our table consistently. The background music was excellent
The food and drinks were very tasty, but a little expensive, especially considering the portions provided.
Fantastic dinner for my wife's birthday. The service was phenomenal and the drinks had some wonderfully surprising flavors. My only mistake was stopping in for dinner too early. This is definitely a great late night spot with a fun atmosphere.
The food was awesome, ambiance just right! The DJ- not so good but we had a good time. Will definitely come back.
Food was great! Great value. Great music & dancing afterwards! Parking was easy!
Good food, good service and a great atmosphere. Enjoyable place to celebrate.
Amazing food. A bit noisy towards the end due to a loud party. Still... great experience.
Had a great time celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday! The food was phenomenal! It's been a while since I've been here and I'm so glad we came. It's seems like this place has innovated their menu. I was impressed with the Ceviche sampler platter and the Raosted corn fundido (melted cheese on sweet roasted corn). The Shrimp Adobo is to die for and and the Brazilian Gauchos is so flavorful and tender; every bite was just delicious! The mango margarita was great but their Mangonada Paloma is a must have if you like the sweeter and fresher side.
Dancing was ok but the DJ keeps mixing the music making a nice reggaeton into electronic, which ruins the beauty of a nice song. It's ok to remix salsa and bachata but to a certain degree. Just my thought.....
Overall, it was a great time and my daughter had a wonderful 21st! She still brags about it. Thank you to all the nice staff. They are very courteous, very professional, and very knowledgeable on their menu.
We arrived by 6:30 pm & there were hardly any tables filled in the dinning room (it did fill up after a bit). We started with a variety of cocktails which all tasted good but were mostly ice & took a long time to arrive. We started with empanadas & corn fundito which were both delicious but there was a long wait between the two appetizers. We shared the chimichurri filet & crispy potatoes which was delicious but took a super long time to come. They did apologize for the delay in service (over 2 hours & 45 minutes for dinner) & offered us a complementary dessert. We had the flourless chocolate cake & churros which we both enjoyed. The coffee I ordered to have with my dessert came after the dessert was eaten. The food was very good but the service was terribly slow & inattentive. We probably will not return.
The music on a Saturday night was amazing. The drinks and food were so expensive though! Will come back to dance after I have gone predrinking.
neighbor hood spot that i’ve passed
by many times and decided to try.
ordered prefix dinner and selection
was good and fairly priced.
best items gauc , chips and salsa.
believe it or not caesar kale salad,
shrimp dish, skirt stake (yummy)
and for sure chocolate mouse is
service was terrific.
Food and music were great
We had a great time, our server was great she helped us with the menu. The mojito was great,we will be back.
Hadn’t been for a while. The present menu is extremely limited. The ambiance seems much more casual and the music choice was very strange for a “Latin” restaurant. We were the only people eating in the dinning room for the first 45 minutes of the evening and yet, service was slow, inattentive and it took a long time for the food come out.
The food was great and our server was astounding. Friends and I ordered the pre fix menu ! A lot of food and great for the price!
We love the ceviche!! And the gaucho shrimp and scallops were grilled to perfection.
Great service, steaks and entrees were delicious.
Tried 4 speciality cocktails. All weird. Food was mediocre.
Moving to Chicago celebration. Food was amazing.
The food and drinks are pretty good. The music was also good.
Nacional 27 is the place for great food, ambiance and Latin flavor. The place reminds you of vacation. Servers, drinks and music are all on point.
My experience was horrible from the moment we sat down. The appetizers were good but my entree was not seasoned well. Plus I was forced to order the same meal as the others at my table.
The service was despicable and most of the food wasn’t good at all. Our orders weren’t taken in a timely manner and the lights were turned off at 11pm for dancing so we had to eat in the dark.
Definitely not value for money. Bad drink, nothing special about the food and bad service. Rude staffs. I usually try not to give negative remarks but this is thoroughly disappointing.
Food and service were excellent, especially the corn fundido appetizer, the grilled salmon, and the pork shoulder (spicy!). The drinks are yummy, though the red sangria tasted like fruit juice - any wine that might have been in it was completely undetectable. The atmosphere is noisy and fun, with latin music and a party atmosphere.
However, we were very put off by N27's reservation policy. When they called the day before to confirm our reservation, I was told we could only have the table for 2 hours - strictly enforced. The individual who called was adamant that we would not be able to keep our table for more than 2 hours because of the need to set up the dance floor. Our reservation was at 7:15 pm and dancing does not begin until 11:00 pm, so the pre-emptive enforcement of this policy seemed like overkill - especially since our party continued to order food and drinks the entire time we were there.
We were seated at a built-in booth slightly elevated above the dance floor area, meaning that the table wasn't going anywhere and would not have to be cleared to permit set-up for dancing. There were empty tables the entire time we were there, and our friendly server kept telling us to "stay as long as we liked," so the inconsistency was irritating. While the food was great, I won't be back unless the 2-hr time limitation policy is eliminated.
Service was great. Food was delicious. Thank you so much! We was celebrating my sister bachelorette. We were a big group and service was wonderful. Thank you. Location was Perfect. It was our 1st time there.
