Remains the best sushi in all of Chicagoland, and is worth a trip down the street or even a train ride from the City.
The food was OK but the service was extremely slow. We placed our entire order at once and it took 2 hours to complete dinner. The appetizers came out about 30 minutes later but in piecemeal fashion. Then, about 45 minutes later, one entre was served but it was at least 5 minutes before the other two came out - meaning, it was cold by the time everyone received their entre. And, that was the only hot dish - the other two were cold sushi dishes. Oh well. There are other sushi places to visit.
We had a cocktail and enjoyed a quick bite before we had to be somewhere. It was so fresh and yummy.
Great as always! Drinks and sushi..great combo for sure!
The food was good however the service and ambiance was not so good. If you want to sit in the dark or listen to other guests talk super loud at each other than it’s good. Not a place to have an intimate conversation. The hostess was very disengaged and when we were seated by the door in the dark. She didn’t seem to care when we asked to be moved to an area that wasn’t dark. It took awhile for our server to appear and our drinks later. The food when it did arrive was very good. Not sure I’ll go back, maybe for lunch but definitely not for dinner.
We went to Nabuki during restaurant week and it was fabulous. A great deal for the price and the food was tasty.
I live in Chicago and the drive to Hinsdale to Nabuki is well worth it. Of all the sushi places I have to choose from, Nabuki is my favorite. The food is excellent, the ambiance is very nice but casual and unpretentious. Our server (I think her name was Kayleigh) was wonderful. It was a wonderful dinner and I recommend trying the chef's special rolls and the crab jalapeno appetizer. So good!
Always a great place! The sushi is fresh and inventive. We had a wonderful meal- we always sit at the bar and had a great conversation with the sushi chef who was nice enough to give us a couple of small plates of things to try! This is the best sushi restaurant in the western suburbs.
Sharon is awesome
Of my top 10 favorite food items, 3 are at Nabuki. Crabby Tuna, Asian Tacos, Stanley Cup roll. SO GOOD!!
We frequent Nabuki once a month and love the food and ambiance! Always a great time!!
We enjoyed dinner at the lively Nabuki on a Saturday night! We had great cocktails and loved the Ika salad and very yummy sashimi! Melted in our mouths! Delicious!
Food always outstanding. Service was fine, but we ordered a bottle and the server clearly didn't know the proper steps for bottle service (show the bottle, pour a taste, fill the rest of the guests first, top up evenly, etc.). That's a real bummer when you're at a nice restaurant, but sadly often the case in the suburbs. Also, the wine list was littered with mistakes and that kind of drives me crazy. Still will be back because the sushi is sooooo good.
Our server, Peter, was excellent!
I frequent Nabuki with my family and make it one of my professional spots for meetings over dinner/drinks. My strong preference is to sit at the bar as the service is much more consistent and the noise level is better. The food is consistently good to great. It is one of the more reliable options in the area and I will continue my patronage there because of it.
Food was delicious, especially the crazy jalapeño
Great food at fair prices. The sea bass was cooked to perfection with an excellent sauce and glaze. The tuna poke was an interesting pleasure, made even better with a glass of white wine.
Our waitress was amazing and suggested the best appetizers
Sushi was fantastic and fresh! It was my husband’s birthday and I had said this on our reservation. Not even a happy birthday wish which was disappointing! Would go back for the sushi but not for a special occasion.
Love this sushi spot. One of the best, even compared to city options. Great vibe for the suburbs. Solid sashimi and rolls.
This is the best sushi restaurant you can go to in the suburbs.
The food is always delicious. Never a disappointment
Great food but service was slow
This is the best sushi ever !!!!!
Nabuki never disappoints
Unfortunately I marked we were celebrating a birthday and they didn’t even acknowledge it. I’m not sure why open table ask when the restaurants don’t do anything to make it feel special. I guess that’s why I shouldn’t count on the system. I’ll pick up the phone and call next time. It was just my daughters 16 birthday not that important 😢
My daughter’s birthday!
The food was good the service was ok
Great I love it!
Great seating options (high top bar, booth, sushi bar or table). The service was outstanding. We liked that our server knew the menu and made excellent recommendations from the nights specials and dinner menu. The wine pour was generous. The best part...the fresh sushi rolls that were some of the best we’ve ever had. We will be back!
Food was delicious!! Love the atmosphere/vibe.
Will definitely be back!!
On a snowy night we made our way to Nabuki. The warmth of the space and a good cocktail got us warmed up. We thoroughly enjoyed our sushi rolls and the warm service.
Always love this restaurant. Wish they would figure out their problems with the slow kitchen and the noise level.
Really wish they would figure out a good carry out service - it takes forever to get food, and it can be a few hours. I’d do the carry out way more often if it was reasonable time frames!
Always a pleasure
Amazing staff, great food and fantastic chef
We had a wonderful meal. Staff was great! Will definitely go back.
We absolutely love this restaurant. We’ve been many times; however, I bit down on shell in my king crab sashimi and my husband had to excuse himself to use the bathroom over a pice of nagiri with skin and bones. Tonight was a disappointment.
