- DDavidRhode Island •6 reviews5.0Dined on May 11, 2025We sat out at the back Garden in beautiful weather having a very good meal here. We started with appetizers, hamburgers and steaks, and a tiramisu to end it all. Really great service, friendly, and a nice environment. It's nice but very casual in terms of dress. This was the perfect place for a good dinner after a day of touring and museums.More infoRestaurant Black & BluePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Oosterdokseiland•4.1

Discover De Pijp
Known as the Old South, most streets in this area are named after Dutch painters like van Gogh, as well as the famous modernist painter, Piet Mondriaan, who once lived here. The dining scene is equally artful, with many of the city’s trendiest restaurants located along these narrow streets, steps from the former Heineken brewery. Artisan burgers in minimalist digs earn high marks, and Vietnamese street food with locally sourced ingredients offers a fresh take on an Asian staple. For vegetarians, there’s a can’t-miss restaurant that has had a rotating menu since it opened in 1981. On the higher-end, a French bistro makes the most of seasonal ingredients while sourcing its wine directly from France. Get ready for a sophisticated trip through some of the city’s buzziest blocks.
