I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The restaurant is in a small backstreet with an unassuming air. We made reservations using open table and were seated immediately. The food is traditional, but made with the best ingredients. I’ve eaten each of the dishes elsewhere, but this was the best version I’ve had. I started with a soup of the day, which was a pumpkin soup, smooth and rich. Followed with a Labskaus with extra beet and pickle on the side. This was a new experience for me but so good I’ve since ordered elsewhere whenever possible. And finally the special dessert, an apple butter cake. The surroundings were rustic and intimate, but not so nice as to require whispering or concerns about having a good time. I highly recommend this establishment. However, it is a little pricy, but is a good value for a nice night out. More

The food was really great, the confit de canard was even better than a lot of restaurants in France. But the service was very slow. We waited around one hour just for the starters and then another round of endless waiting for the main course. At the end they couldn’t split the bill for payment at Bel Etage, so we had to go down stairs and do the payment at the entrance in the crowd. More
