- AAmiNew York City •8 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoDined here for dinner with a friend. Began with drinks at the bar, where I had amazing Greek red wine, recommended by the bartender. The only odd aspect of starting at the bar occurred when the tab had to be closed. Uncertain why it was so important to close the bar tab at the bar instead of shifting it to our table bill. Weird. Service is pretty good, very friendly and attentive servers. We were presented with various breads and pitas, with in house marinated olives immediately after being seated. We didn't have any of the breads or pitas, but the olives were pretty amazing. For the starter, we ordered fried calamari which was insanely rubbery. Not well executed IMO. For main we both ordered salmon, requesting medium preparation. The presentation was beautiful, accompanied by well cooked farro (?) and a beautiful glaze. The salmon skin was perfectly executed, but the salmon tasted medium-well. I don't think I can blame the chef for that though, as we did not dig into our salmon well after 10 minutes of being presented. Overall, I would dine here again with heavy consideration on the ambience, great greek wine and a great variety of food options, knowing that there is great potential in the flavors.More infoMeli EstiatorioPrice: Expensive• Greek• Forest Hills•4.5
