Point Pleasant Beach Restaurants

The food and service were very good as usual. I was disappointed because when I made the reservation on the app for OpenTable, Previously, you had the option of selecting inside or outside so this time this option was not available . When we arrived at the restaurant, outside seating was not available and I was advised that other people had called ahead and they were holding the outside tables that were currently free. I wish the app indicated if I had a preference for an outside table that I should call ahead to arrange that. I would definitely have Covid if I knew that. I had preferred to be outside, and usually that has not been a problem in the past

Poached pear is a wonderful place for special occasion meals. The halibut was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. Service was very attentive. This was not our first time dining at poached pear and continue to rank this among the best in the area - food and service are consistently top notch.

Service was good; pleasant waitress. The food was very good. The one minor thing I want to comment on- the bread. You may consider putting out delicious hot rolls, or crusty bread, or even biscuits, instead of the soft cold( maybe heated for 5 seconds) not good bread. As I said, that’s my only constructive criticism. It was very good. We have bern hete many times. This was the first time back after Covid. Not disappointed at all. We will definitely be coming back! ( hopefully with better bread). :)

Love the Shipwreck for many reasons. The atmosphere is welcoming. The staff always so friendly. Holly behind the bar last night gives a big hello when you walk through the door. Jane our waitress nothing but smiles and gracious in every way. Food is exceptional as always.

4 of us arrived at 6:15 for our Friday evening reservation. We were seated in the front side dining room which was empty of other diners which surprised us. By 6:30 the dining room started filling up and by 7 it was hopping. We were welcomed by our server and a young lady in training. Both were extremely personable and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. The food! We each started with a different salad which were presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. Our entrees consisted of Flank Steak, Tuna, Crab Cakes and a really tasty Short Rib special! All delicious! We all commented we’ll be back!
