- DPDouglasPGreater Boston •17 reviews5.0Dined on Aug 22, 2015LL Bean couldn't have wanted it better. The lodge is sequestered under huge white pines along the edge of the most beautiful lake on the East Coast. Cocktails are on the veranda and randomly outside wherever you wish and the cocktail hour is laid-back, as are the table times. Once you have your reservation, the table is yours for the evening, so you go in to eat when you're good and ready. Men must wear a jacket, But otherwise it's country casual. The food is straightforward American fair and is excellent. It will not compete for exotic with the Old Port in downtown Portland, but this is not why you come here. If you want an excellent straightforward meal in an atmosphere that is almost indescribable, but something out of "On Golden Pond", this is your place.!!!More infoMigis Lodge on Sebago LakePrice: Very Expensive• American• Casco•3.5
Discover Casco
Nestled on the northern shore of Sebago Lake and close to the rocky Maine coast, Casco offers a variety of dining experiences. Of course, you will have no trouble finding lobster. There's no need to choose between the claws or the tail; order a whole, boiled lobster and enjoy it all. For a relaxed lunch or dinner, head to one of the towns many pubs or taverns and order a fish and chips with a cold beer. A handful of local pizza shops are available for a quick bite to eat. And, as a tourist destination, Casco is not short on options for dessert. For a New England flavor, enjoy a scoop of maple walnut ice cream or a piece of blueberry pie.
