Our twenty year anniversary with two close friends could not have been served a more appropriate meal. Delicious food. Great wine and quiet conversations.
Our server was inattentive, but otherwise, it was a good experience and good food.
Very very good! We had a new waitress and she was outstanding!
Our dinners at Myron’s New Braunfels never disappoints!
Great food and great service!
Everything was fabulous! Steaks cooked to perfection.
This was our third time to dine at Myron's: one anniversary and two birthdays.
It has become our "special event" restaurant. The menu is excellent and the food preparation is the best in town, especially the steaks. The soft, quiet atmosphere enhances the both our mood and the flavor of the meal.
We'll be back.
Great food worth every dollar.
Meal and service were impeccable. I had filet and grilled shrimp, filet cooked to perfection. Husband had his all time fave pork chops - 2 HUGE pork chops cooked just the way he likes them. Had our all time fave sides -- jalapeno mac 'n cheese and creamed spinach. We were celebrating our 46th anniversary, we were treated to a dessert - we chose fabulous creamy cheesecake. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our server was very personable, informative of evening specials and very knowledgeable of items on menu. We will be returning soon.
Son came in from Thailand and wanted a GOOD steak meal!! This is the place to come for just that type of meal!!
I know all things must change but the one major difference in Myrons over the years is value. It used to be such an incredible value, now however its the same price as any nice steakhouse here in Austin but the food is not on par with the Austin restaurants. Its no surprise that Ruth's Chris is the restaurant I would use in comparison- in Austin Ruths Chris is a bit lower on my list of steak houses but I still love it and go there often- price points are about the same but Ruth's food is overall better. The steak we had was as good as a steak can be, the Bass we had was, on a value scale, a real bummer- small, fishy, undercooked, on a small bed of risotto. Hate to compare to a place like Pappadeuxs.. but their version is insanely good and the same price... chopped salad was more of a warm slaw.... drinks were great, service was very good. Place itself is very nice and busy indeed. A bit warm inside- great dessert, overall still a fan, but no longer worth the drive down to NB instead of going into downtown Austin like it once was.
on the other hand if I were a NB resident I would be very grateful they are there :-)
Steaks were very good but not mouth watering. Tasty green beans but shoe string potatoes were too difficult eat but looked good. Will get baked potato next time. A little pricey for what you get but still a delightful place for dinner and excellent service.
Great steak (filet) & seafood (sea bass). Nice service, but a bit pricy since everything is a la carte.
Excellent food! The waitstaff is knowledgeable and very attentive. Perfect spot for our anniversary dinner. At bit expensive for anything other than once or twice a year.
We are frequent customers at Myrons & we love it! It’s not only our go to place for special occasions. It’s our go to for nights out with our friends & for date nights as well.
First time and will not be the last time, thank you for a nice evening...fine wine list
Both the service and the food were exceptional. I had forgotten what a great steak tasted like.
We were in the mood for a great steak and took chance driving from San Marcus and headed to New Braunfels instead of the more predictable options in Austin. Wow, i was not disappointed.
My buddy and i both had salads and NY Strips and family style sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was thick, close to two inches, perfect marbling, perfectly cooked, on a hot plate with just a hint of butter (not drowned) and the tasted exceeded the presentation. I have had steaks all over this country and this was in my top five experiences!! The sides were very suitable and appropriate. And they brought a small dish of hollandaise to boot.
The bread pudding was great. We had a great night over a nicely priced bottle of wine...dang, i hope i have another reason to head back to Central Texas!
Good job Myron's! Steve was our waiter, exceptional service.
Amazing steak, excellent service, nice atmosphere, I make a trip to Myron’s every time I’m in the area, can’t recommend this place enough!
Food was great but the service was awful. If I’m paying $50 for a steak, the service needs to be perfect. I shouldn’t have to ask for my water to be refilled multiple times. No sides are included with the steak so you have to pay $10 for a side which is also absurd. It’s unfortunate that we won’t be going back due to the service because like I said, the food was amazing. I ordered a medium steak and it was sent well done so they had to cook a new one. This is your business- get it right the first time. My wife had to eat her lobster while I sat and watched so they could cook me a new steak. If I’m paying $200 for dinner, we should be able to eat TOGETHER.
The facility was way to dark. I appreciate the booths and the light on the table, just not sure why the room was so dark. The wood work in the dinning room looked nice from what I could tell.
As always, Myron's didn't disappoint. The food was great. The huge problem I had was that on Open Table I checked that it was a birthday. At the end of the meal, I asked our server, Alex for the dessert menu. He said that a chocolate cake was on the way (obviously for my husband's birthday). Then they CHARGED us for the dessert-one that I would not have chosen. I have seen this before, but I think this is a ridiculous practice! You don't order something and then you have to pay for it!
Great food as always at Myron’s!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely visit again!
Steaks a bit over cooked which is not normal for Myron’s
Very nice. Great steak, wonderful wine.
Wonderful experience. Great food. The steaks are very overpriced.
Sunday dinner with the family. Location, ambiance, staff and service outstanding. The wine, coffee and bread pudding are fabulous.
I was super disappointed in my ribeye. My son also had high hopes for the lamb. The sides and salad were ok.
I would expand your bar areaAs the seating is limited
Overall we had a very nice experience at Myron's. Our Myron's shrimp appetizer was slightly overcooked but the cocktails were excellent. My wife had the large filet and loved it. I had the 22oz Ribeye and although delicious and cooked exactly medium rare, I cannot say that it matched the $54 price. The Jalapeno mac and cheese were a great side dish and the Crème brûlée we excellent.
We put in our reservations that this was our wedding anniversary (7th to be exact) but your table left a bit to be desired. We were seated in a far back room that had breaker boxes and other utilities on the walls... other than that, it was a very plain room with no ambiance. The main dining area was very nice, but we were nowhere near it.
Our server was nice and knowledgeable and that helped the experience. I would give it 4 stars overall.
I would definitely come back! The food was excellent and the wine selection was great too. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny though. The service and atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
We love Myron's, and it is definitely the best steak in New Braunfels. This visit was slightly disappointing as my filet was on the dry side despite medium rare prep. I think I'll get a different cut next time. Everything else though, was amazing as always.
This is a great restaurants we will come back again..
Food and service was good. Should've been great based on the amount we spent. It was WAY overpriced for what you get. $94 for chateaubriand that only comes with a thin slice of lettuce is crazy. Other individual entrees don't even include the lettuce! $10 each for sides and $13 for a small slice of pecan pie is ridiculous. $200 for a slightly above average experience is outrageous. Had only 2 glasses of $8/glass wine. We could have an awesome meal with great atmosphere at the Taste of Texas in Houston for much less $.
Would not return, food was completely over priced, had to send back one entree because it was not edible. Plate presentation was horrible.
My husband and I come here on special occasion and are never disappointed. The service and food alike are phenomenal! I would always recommend!
Food was perfect and was my first time to visit but staff made me feel uncomfortable because of some questions i had. They mad me feel like I didnt belong in a place like this but brushed it off and spent about 135$ so you pay for it .
Beautiful dinner for Valentine’s Day. Steaks are the best in town and the Bread Pudding was amazing.
The steak was fantastic! Cooked perfect for my taste! The salad however was a joke! One slice of lettuce with a drizzle of dressing! The service and ambiance was not good either! For the price of the meal I would expect nothing less than superb service in a romantic setting! That however was not the case! It was difficult to get my husband to take me to dinner here because of the overpriced steaks but I finally convinced him that he would enjoy the steak, and that he did! Our dinner was ruined by the poor service we received, we were with another couple who are normally the most laid back people, even they were frustrated with our waiter. We arrived early, our reservation time was at 6, and we were seated back in the corner where I was only able to see my friend across from me and a wall! i expected so much more from Myrons, I'm very disappointed!
