Myron's Prime Steak House Ratings and Reviews
The worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant that I can remember. We got several dishes and some of them where “frozen” in the middle. It was just me and my wife. We had 2 glasses of Muscato wine (one wasn’t finished) and it was flat. We told the waitress and she didn’t offer to Comp it or anything not even our “frozen” food. $200 well wasted!!!!!
Have been here many times because all things here are outstanding...hence, that’s why we keep coming back! This time, though, we overcame a small wine list glitch to everyone’s satisfaction. Attention to detail and guest’s individual needs are absolutely superb. We’ll be back...for sure!
I've been to Myron's several times previously, but the last visit did not live up to the high marks set during previous occasions. Unlike previous visits, this time we felt like the waiter was completely ignoring us throughout the entire evening. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled and for additional bread to be brought out (a long time after he had mentioned he was bringing some. When the salads were served, the plates and salad were both room temperature - not chilled. Two of us (out of four at the table) were served warm (but not hot) main courses. While picking up the dirty plates, the waiter reached completely in front of a person to retrieve another diners plate (we were at a four top - not a booth). Before bringing the check the waiter did ask if we wanted any coffee, but no offer of desert was made. All in all, a fairly disappointing evening - I feel largely attributable to our waiter - the service just was not what I have come to expect from Myron's or any other prime steak house.
Reservations--seated immediately. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff. We had a variety of beef cuts, lamb and scallops. Everyone raved about their selections. It really was very, very good, from the appetizers to a slice of unbelievably rich and tasty chocolate cake to celebrate a birthday. It is pricey, but the service and the unbelievable meats justify it.
Staff needs training on how to serve at a what touts itself as an upscale steakhouse. These kids might as well have been serving at a Denny's. And that's on the management, not them.
Thankfully, the steak was quite good as was the wine we selected. Sides were meh. The annex, where we were seated looked every bit like the old retail space that it was just tarted up a bit with some sad banquet room drapes. The main, original space is in keeping with the ambiance and dining experience one would expect in this type of restaurant. The host and hostess couldn't be less interested to see us.
Has always been a special place to celebrate. Food is always incredible. The steaks are always cooked right and just melt in your mouth. Hard not to get steak but all other options are great too. Filet and Shrimp(in Myron's butter of course) is my favorite. One of the most enjoyable things there is the staff. From the greeter to the bus boy, everyone is top notch. It is a very up scale place but they do try to make everyone feel comfortable. This last visit in particular our waitress (Can not remember her name....ugh) was super. We had some first timers with us and she was so good with them. Explained everything well and made them feel so comfortable. My husband had a sling on his arm and she even volunteered to cut his steak in the most polite way, he let her. Its just a real treat to go there and look forward to the next!
We have eaten at Myron's several times and this was our most disappointing experience. The low level lighting forces you to use your cell phone light to read the menu and it was very chilly in the restaurant. Our filets were cooked medium well but they were very dry. A thin slice of iceberg lettuce called a salad is laughable.
It was our Anniversary, upon arrival at 5:30, we were seated right away from our online reservation. The wait staff was amazing, the food was exceptional and had a wonderful evening. If you are looking for a special place to spend a night out, this is the place!
Mike was our server. He was funny, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we did not get the name of his assistant, who also was very attentive and kept our table clear and our water glasses full. It was a very luxurious experience. Thank you.
WE love eating at Myron's Steakhouse. The food, wine and service are always outstanding, and the price for it all is very reasonable. The only negative is parking. They don't have enough parking spaces for the restaurant size, and it is sometimes hit or miss finding a decent place to park.
We have been visiting myrons for years and have always been extremely pleased. Except this time. The menu prices almost doubled from the previous visit, the chicken dish was bland, there was a wide variation in the steaks cooking and the macaroni and cheese , which was recommended , was so hot from pepper it was inedible.
