We've been to the Myron's in San Antonio and the service is much better there. For some reason, the manager believes being right is more important than providing an exceptional experience for the customer. This manager, in particular, is very combative and not very receptive to feedback. I gave what most would have considered very specific details regarding the subpar experience we had, however, I found myself bickering with this person to get my point across. The only thing that will possibly make us revisit this restaurant was the exemplary service we received from our server, Kevin. Kevin should be managing this establishment because he is the epitome of an exemplary employee.
My husband found Myron’s while we in Canyon Lake for the weekend, it was our Anniversary and he wanted to surprise me with dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic, we were able to talk quietly and intimately. Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely be returning.
Food was fantastic.
Dining room is tight, a little loud, our party of 6 felt like too large a group.
Food was very! very! very! damn good
Our waiter was amazing and our food delicious!
The kitchen was a little slow... it when it arrived it was hot and well prepared.
Wonderful food, great service, highly recommend! My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and will certainly be back for dinner for other occasions.
We love Myron's! It is our favorite restaurant to go to in New Braunfels. Great service and great food!
Excellent food and service. A must place to get choice steaks!
Great food, great abiance, good service. Steaks and sides were outstanding.Go here for special occasions.
Wonderful dining experience for special occasions . Pricey but worth a splurge
Thank you for an outstanding evening. The occasion was our 17th wedding anniversary and we could not have been more pleased with Myron's. Excellent food and service, great atmosphere and the volume was such my wife and I could easily carry on a conversation. We will be back.
great meal great service great atmosphere. Kevin was an exceptional waiter
Celebrated a wedding anniversary and it was perfect in terms of food, service and ambiance. The Australian lobster tail may be the best I have ever had - cooked perfectly! The wine, beer snd spirits menu was also extensive. Fortunate to have such a fine restaurant in New Braunfels. I can’t wait to return and sample more items from the menu.
Excellent service and food a great location for anniversary dinner.
The service was superb and the food was very good . I will definately recommend to friends and will return to dine when I'm jn the area. Jeff Harrell
Amazing service combined with an amazing steak made for a wonderful date night!!
Great for special occasion. Good service and atmosphere
This was the best steak place we have ever been to. We will go all the way back to New Braunfels just to go back here!
Our waitress, Madison, was very good. She was very attentive and knew the menu. She made our anniversary a pleasure.
Myron's is one of our favorite restaurants ever! The food is beyond expectations, service is superb(Steven) and the wait for our meal is never long.
Recommended to me by a friend, and we weren't disappointed. The escargot and steaks were wonderful! Fantastic service! Highly recommend!
Amazing as usual, our favorite “special occasion” restaurant.
Great staff and ambiance.
Also close by some incredible piano bars
They had an incredible staff of informative and kind people. Their food was average but it’s a very romantic setting !
Myron's used to be my favorite place for a great meal. Recently I have had friends say their experiences at Myron's were not as good as what I have had. This last trip confirmed that the food is not what it used to be. Our escargot and ahi tuna were very good, but the filet was tough and the potatoes au gratin were undercooked.
Unfortunately, I would not feel right recommending Myron's like I used to.
Great evening out for special occasion with friends. Quiet, dark, nice - we enjoyed our waiter and our food was great as usual.
Our server was amazing! Food was good as always!
Wonderful food and service
The food was overall very good. My wife's first steak ordered medium came out well done. and had to be sent back for a new steak. Other then that we had a very plesant time.
We ALWAYS request Steven(waiter) and the ENTIRE experience is perfect. The wait for food is just right, meal hot, presented well AND delicious! Great for a special occasion and the service is superb.
We came to Myron's late night after long day at softball fields and TLU graduation. We were very casual in a nice restaurant. Hostess and wait staff made us feel very much at home. We had 4 kids with us and all were very tired, hungry and crabby. Wait staff were quick and efficient and made the evening special for whole family. Steaks are large and amazing. For kids that could not eat whole steak, waiter split and was very accommodating and made everyone feel comfortable with orders. Highly recommend this place.
My husband and I love dining at both Myron’s locations. It’s definitely our “go to” for delicious, dry-aged prime beef.
The service was great, ambiance was nice but very noisy. The food however, was just mediocre. I myself have cooked a much better steak on my indoor grill. For the price, i was really not too impressed with the quality of the food. The sides were very good. We got the au grautin spinach and the garlic mashed potatoes and they were very tasty. It was my husband's birthday and they gave him a free huge slice of chocolate cake with chocolate icing that was very good.
The food is expensive, but well-cooked. I ordered the "Kansas Strip" and my wife ordered the filet. The food was filling and appropriately cooked, but extremely expensive. I only ordered two steaks and a side dish to share with my wife and the bill (w/o tip) was about $150.
While the atmosphere and the service was good, the food was not worth the price.
Entrees come with a salad. Lettuce with dressing dumped on it. No creativity.
The aged steaks had little flavor, my husband asked for his cooked medium, came out MW-W.
The seafood stuffing in the mushrooms was mealy, too much breading. The crab cakes were spicy, which overpowered the crab flavor.
We don't mind paying for a great meal, but the food was just not up to the level it needs to be.
Everything was wonderful! We stared with drinks (perfectly prepared martinis) and the tuna. Our entrees were excellent as were the sides we ordered; mashed potatoes and the Macaroni and cheese. Dessert was creme brûlée and whiskey ice cream ( amazing)! We ended with Myron’s coffee. Mike was our server and he was fantastic. All in all an excellent birthday/Mother’s Day evening out! I strongly recommend Myron’s and be sure to request mike as your server.
We were celebrating our daughters college graduation with a party of 6. The ambiance was nice, noise level was low, our waiter was fabulous as was the food & drinks. The building was built in 1920 with a cool old school vibe. I left my sunglasses there & they said they’d mail them to me😃
Great food - had the ribeye. Good wine selection too. Reasonably priced.
First time here. Was recommended by a friend. Server was very good even after I told him my expensive steak was overcooked and the men’s bathroom deplorable. Comped my meal in the end , which is why I may revisit. Lighting at each booth was a joke. A cheap little wall mount light. Prices sky high for a marginal room and disgusting bathroom.
I ordered the filet and shrimp which I have ordered MANY times. I was surprised when it was presented as one small filet (not bacon wrapped and only 3, small shrimp. Used to, i took home at least one medallion (received 2) and 1-2 shrimp, as there were 3-4 LARGE shrimp.
The bone in ribeyes my husband and friend ordered however, were excellent.
Myron's is an old converted movie theater with a decorative tin ceiling. The booths are relatively private with subdued lighting. Very romantic. We only recently moved to Texas, but this was our 4th visit to Myron's. The steaks are always perfectly done as requested. The sides are well suited to the main menu. I always get asparagus, which is excellent with hollandais. Be sure and try a raspberry lemon drop or a dry vodka martini to get things started. Service is superb.
