What a great spot! Great menu with classic options but interesting options for foodies. My soup was to die for and my friends all scarfed their burgers. Homemade Lemonades and ginger soda made to order was a nice touch and dessert is worth the calories - the ricotta cades and dulce de leche cake was to die for.
Absolutely loved the food, our server, and the chef/owner. Loved the home vibe. Will definitely be back. Food was incredible.
This is one of those places that I don't want to yelp about because then everyone knows it's good. I have tried almost everything on their menu and nothing fails. Their wine list is fantastic and the service is great. I especially love the bartender. I forget her name, but she really is the best.
The food was very bland.
Hi Zach, I just wanted to reach out to say how sorry I am that you had such a negative experience with us at Myriad. I certainly take your review to heart and will work with my kitchen crew on our seasoning and consistency. I appreciate your feedback and will follow through with my team. Trish Tracey Chef/owner Myriad Gastropub
The food was fine, but nothing even remotely special. The prices are nowhere close to worth it for the food, at least not for the brunch my friends and I had.
Mediocre experience. Would not recommend.
We have been to Myriad a few times, and really like the food and the relative value, although in the past the desserts were not on par with the main courses. This time around, although my salmon was expertly done, the sauce the salmon sat in was way too salty. My husband's steak, although flavorful, was very rare rather than medium rare. As usual, the lamb sandwich was terrific. Dessert, other than the butter- scotch pudding, was pretty meh -- the chocolate cake was pretty but dry, and the time before, the dulce de leche dessert which was very sweet without much other dimension. The noise level was deafening, so much so that we switched places so we did not have to talk cross table to our dinner companions; that only sort of helped. Overall, some of the dishes are excellent and worth sticking with - the lamb sandwich, the parpardelle pasta with pork cheek , the cochinita pibil. We may have had an off night for the steak and the salmon. I'd go back again, maybe on a less crowded night .
Here's the deal. I go to a restaurant to eat. If I walk out hungry and have to go home and have a sandwich then I haven't had a good experience, which is a word the restaurant industry likes to use instead of marketing good food at a reasonable price. Gastropub charged $63 (not including tip) for two glasses of wine and to lunch meals (no appetizers). Call me old fashioned, but for that kind of money, I expect to have my hunger satisfied.
We had a group of 8 for brunch at 12 noon for my wife's birthday. I liked the fact that we could actually make a reservation for a large group. The restuarant was pretty big for the city so they actually could have accommodated a larger group. The hostess was great they allowed us to store some birthday cupcakes the food was good and not overly priced and the location is very convenient, close to BART and MUNI.
The hostess was frustrating to deal with - she didn't seem to understand that I had a reservation or what my name was, then kept making silly mistakes. We wished we could have tipped the very nice man who brought our food and not the waitress/hostess.
I was very impressed with every dish and the service. Deviled eggs, crispy Brussels, chicken liver pate, and the Mexican braised pork dish were all great. Not so impressed by the cocktails but the beer selection is solid. Seriously a great restaurant.
Food was good if not extraordinary. Service people were nice, but forgot requests we made. Thanks
Very impressed with this restaurant from the small plates to the main course the two of us really liked everything we ordered and the chef owner came up and spoke to us for a while she was very nice, service was great I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and will be back soon!!
First time eating here. Valentines Day dinner with my honey.
The mixed drinks were off-the-hook delicious! (The bartender was a sweetheart.)
Food was incredibly tasty. Loved the (small plate) butternut squash dish, and the (large plate) veggie skillet. Can’t wait to go again!!
We enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner there. They were very accommodating to our request for side-by-side seating. The food was spot on. And we enjoyed a couple yummy cocktails as well. All in all a very nice dining experience!
Location, food, ambiance, all great. Our server, however, was AMAZING. Beyond compare! If you can, please dine with Ross. He was attentive, kind, funny, great smile, just overall made our experience that much more memorable. He's really top-notch!!!
We loved it - stopped in for a quick bite after a move at the Alamo. Great wine list by the glass, and server was helpful in offering tastes - like that. roast lamb sandwich was moist and very tasty. Chef Trish was very nice and warmly greeted us.
Waiter was great
Food presentation was nice- food was ok- but not worth going back again
Four of us went for SF Restaurant Week. Most restaurants offered two or three courses for the week. Myriad had four! The deviled eggs were really tasty, and the French toast was delicious! I thought it would be small plates, but it was a big serving of French toast. The egg sandwich was good, but a little bland. A little hot sauce and that would make it perfect. The dessert was zeppole which is like beignets. They were served with a bourbon caramel sauce. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Danny, was the owner/chef’s brother. We met her and had fun talking to him. You’ll have a great experience.
Nice place to go for some drinks. Menu was impressive, but the food did not meet expectations. Tried a few small and large plates. Wouldn't recommend.
Yummy good! Wine was a little over priced but overall experience was great.
Great spot to get a bite and a drink in the mission without having to book months in advance! Lots of yummy options on the menu, including crispy chicken sliders and a very generous portion of chicken liver pate.
Great place for work (had business lunch here previously) as well as family (recently had lunch with my two kids) - food is wonderful and service is great.
Nice place for a lunch or brunch , great service and great food.
Had quite a memorable experience at Myriad! The owner Trish is amazing and incredibly talented!
Enjoyed the food, so did the kids (pleasing them is another level of mission-impossible) Overall it’s a place I’d come back to, gladly, and so will the boys. Thank you!
The food was good! Really enjoyed the elotè popcorn! The desserts left a lot to be desired, but I’m not a huge dessert fan and I’d likely go back for dinner. The wait staff were attentive and lovely
A hip, but not too hip, place in the Mission. Good food, of an international mix. Elegant enough.
Overall great experience. Food was excellent.
Excellent grub and watering for locals. Service is some of the best I've experienced in the city
I've been dining at Myriad for a while now. I've taken friends and family, locals and visitors, professional eaters and professional cooks there. Every one has agreed with me that this is a great place to eat.
Seated right away and server introduced himself. Very friendly. Decor was cool.
The Brussels sprouts were really good, as were the edamame. My hanger streak was unseasoned. I asked for salt and pepper. The sauce was under the potatoes and not the streak. My friend said her vegetable dish could have used a lot more curry sauce.
Selected a nice wine.
All in all it was a nice experience.
Fantastic food and service every single time. This time had the lamb sandwich made as a salad for lunch. Cappuccino and phenomenal leches cake to finish up with flawless service
Four of us had Thai chicken wings, grits and shrimps, and chicken liver for small plates and grass fed beef burger, and pappardelle pasta for large plates. Food were amazing and beers too! Our server was very attentive and kind. Liked the atmosphere as well!
Great service and delicious variety of food. Everyone was friendly. Will definitely go back!
This was my first trip here. I was pleasantly surprised about the variety of dishes on the menu. Both large and small plates. The staff was really friendly. I can’t wait to return.
The food is just ok. The prices are about double what they should be for ‘large’ plates
Gastropub is the type of restaurant that you don’t expect to find on Mission Street. The chef is very talented and does some riffs on Mom’s recipes e.g. the deviled egg appetizer, by definitely adding her own touch. She uses only the freshest ingredients and recognizes the purveyors. Do go in before peach season is over and have the grilled peach salad-DELICIOUS! It’s a family affair with the chef’s brother providing friendly service.
Saw review on Check Please and recommended place to my friends for our monthly dinner gathering. The service was good and so was the food. We ordered the deviled eggs and spiced potato chips for appetizers. My friends both ordered the cochinita pibil (braised pork) and I ordered the pappardelle pasta with pork cheeks. Both dishes were very tasty and the portions were fine for the price. Afterwards, we shared the butterscotch pot de creme. My friend who loves butterscotch enjoyed the dessert. We left being satisfied with our dinner. We rated our experience as Good because it was GOOD, but not over the top. When I am in the Mission again, I would go back.
Overall our experience was disappointing. The food was good, but very overpriced, even by the Mission's standards. We ordered the salmon and a pork dish that was meant to be assembled into a taco (I'm guessing). These items were fine, they tasted good, but the portions were small, and it just wasn't worth the $28-30 each. The whole time I kept thinking we should have saved our money and eaten at any of taquerias nearby. On top of this, a clumsy patron behind us spilled (rather, exploded) her glass of wine all over her date and, it turns out, me. I got home and my top was stained all over the back in red wine! I'm absolutely sure that our server saw this but did not tell me. Thanks a lot.
Lovely place for brunch. Excellent interning food. Not inexpensive but on par with costs of brunch places in SF. Friendly and attentive service.
