Food was excellent as always. As a frequent customer (about once a month), we very surprised that we were seated with a perfect view of the restroom. Mykonos should do some minor construction work so the restroom entrance is not visible to diners' tables.
A really good neighborhood restaurant - terrific food, from appetizers to mains, good service, nice atmosphere. Good value for the money, and especially good if you are partial to real traditional Greek dishes.
It had been nine years since my wife and I had been here (the last time was for the rehearsal dinner before our wedding), and I decided it would be a nice place to take my wife for our anniversary. I remembered the food being very good, but the meal we had this time far exceeded our expectations. Everything we had was delicious.
The only negative part of the evening came at the very end of our meal. After finishing dessert, we sat for almost half an hour waiting for our waiter to bring our check. He walked past us multiple times, but never even looked at us as we attempted to flag him down. It was downright comical. We were fully convinced that our waiter had just forgotten that we hadn't paid, and assumed we were just hanging around.
This one bad aspect did not ruin what was otherwise a wonderful dining experience, but it was definitely noteworthy. If you have any sort of time constraints on your meal, this might not be the restaurant for you.
Delicious and spectacular. Fast and kind service!!
waiter was friendly and chatty but forgot about giving us timely service. The entrees are overpriced for what you get, not a good value. The food is tasty but lacking presentation.
I had forgotten how good this place is. We like to get the Cold Appetizers for two for our starter and the specials that day were great.
Mykonos continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. We've been dining at Mykonos for years and the food, ambiance, service, and overall experience continue to be top-notch. It's nice to see that such a great restaurant continues to do so well.
It was disorganized at first, with no one at the front door entrance to greet us or assure our reservation. The problem was rectified in a relatively short time, and we enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious!!
We love coming here as the ambiance, food and service is first rate. Both of our grandchildren christening parties have been here. Our daughter-in-law is half Greek and this restaurant is her families number one.
Consistently good food. Many fish choices are appreciated. Plates look appetizing when served. Fish is perfectly cooked. Would like to have prices for specials given by waiter without asking. An excellent place that we go back to often. We feel welcomed.
Three of us went for lunch to celebrate a friend's 80+ birthday and this was the perfect location. We asked for a quiet corner and got one in the back room that has arched windows looking into the front of the restaurant so still very charming atmosphere. Service was great as was the food. We had the stuffed pepper and tomato special and a gyro platter. Very good Greek cooking.
The food was delicious. We were disappointed that they had run out of lamb chomps on Sunday evening. They said this is fairly typical since they are so busy all day.
Fantastic food and service to celebrate special birthday.
My friend and I met there for dinner last night. We are both having the worst stomachache today. Called and spoke with the manager. He tried to reason with me they served hundreds meals per day, no one has complained. People usually don’t call in this situation they just won’t go back. I want to make sure for those of you who do read review to keep in mind that you could be the next victim of their questionable food or hygiene standards . I spent my Sunday feeling miserable and get insulted by the manager that I’m making it up. Everyone, be aware.
Love the food!!! Our waiter was great and made really good drinks
Our favorite Restaurant for all occasions, or a quick late lunch.
Excellent food and service, a real neighborhood gem
Great as always! Went this past Saturday evening and had a wonderful dinner. It included fresh fish, vegetable entree and a lamb shank. All delicious.....
We had early reservations, and it turned out to be a wise decision as it was so crowded at the end of dinner we had a hard time getting out. Service was fairly attentive, but our entrees were a bit slow coming out after the salads. Salads were fresh, and the fava bean puree was a hit. Two of us ordered the trout with capers and almonds but the fish was a bit soggy and not as appetizing as described. One of our party ordered chicken breasts which were substantially accompanied by potatoes and green (though sadly, overcooked) beans. The vegetarian platter was tasty with Greek specialties.
The service was very nice. we never felt ignored or rushed. For the price they charged, it could have included a small salad.
I had the trout special which tasted ok, but not memorable.
I thought the presentation of the fish was lacking. It was just a piece of pale fish on a large white plate with no garnish. It was not appetizing.
There was a nice plate of colorful, roasted vegetables. It would have looked nice under or around the fish.
I would expect that type of presentation at a less expensive diner, but not a a more expensive restaurant.
The bread was good, but served with ordinary olive oil in a bottle touched my every other guest. The Greek restaurant I visit most serves a small bowl of olive oil with a garlic clove and spices.
It was my first time dining in this restaurant. While we had a nice time I was not overly impressed.
We had a great waiter, great service, and everybody enjoyed the food. (even the TITO's on the rocks was good)
Rude and not inviting. Food way over priced. Go else ware.
The restaurant was closed although Open Table failed to notify me.
Very good neighborhood Greek restaurant. Some at my table ordered two appetizers per person rather than a large main course. No problem. Food is tasty and well prepared. This is one of my go-to restaurants - I always leave satisfied.
The service was kind, friendly and attentive. We arrived toward the end of service with an 8:30 reservation and our only critique would be that we were left standing at the entry, told to wait 5 minutes or so, without being offered the option of sitting at the bar. The person who greeted us was not particularly warm or friendly, but this was well made up for after we were seated. The food was delicious -- in fact we can't stop talking about what a wonderful evening we had.
This is the best Greek food in Maryland. I’ve been dining here for 15-20 years, ever since I discovered it.
Probably the best Greek restaurant in the DMV. Was packed tonight. Apps and entrees were flying out of the kitchen. Good old school restaurant that has stayed with the times. The menu's been updated with healthy options and the main dishes weren't overly done or too heavy. Was very pleased.
My wife and I had an opportunity to travel to Athens (2 years ago). Prior to our visit, we were invited to a friend’s surprise birthday party at Mykonos Grill. We loved the food and had a great time. We honestly thought the quality and taste of the food at Mykonos Grill was better than most (if not all) of the restaurants and cafes we frequented during our time in Athens. We had a craving for Greek Cuisine, so back we came... and we have to give an A+ to Mykonos Grill (yet again)! We will be back!
It was very busy on Valentine's Day. The waiters and host were all very pleasant. We had a nice time and will definitely go back.
Discovered the restaurant in 2016– liked it for my wedding and have come there since. The only thing that keeps me coming is the food, especially the lamb which is very tender and tasty. My last visit there was recently for Valentine’s Day. As usual, the meal was excellent, but service was not so good and has been that way with past visits. Hope they will take feedback seriously.
Valentines Day was packed. We had reserved for late dinner at 8:30 after a performance. We arrived a few minutes late but still had to chat with other waiting couples and look at the pictures of Obama and Biden on the wall for 25 minutes before we could be seated. The choices on the menu, all pri fixe, sounded scrumptious, but several were already all taken. MyValentine's dinner was excellent, delicious shrimp in a tasty sauce with potatoes and vegetables. Her slow cooked string beans were unusually good. My seabass was a substitute for several choices of entree that were no longer available, and it seemed like one--a large hunk of buttery fish with broccoli, cauliflower and potatoes, deserving of a lesser restaurant. In contrast, the first course sampler was wonderful, and the two desert choices excellent. In sum, Mykonos should do a better job of planning ahead for such a demand on their exceptional talents as Valentine's Day.
Excellent food and friendly, attentive service. Plenty to choose from. Easy 5 stars.
Thomas was great.
The food was very good, but there were not affordable options available such as the combination plate. Overall, really nice place, but pricey.
We were disappointed this time. The Valentines Day menu was the same as the regular menu, no new dishes, but you had to order prix fixe, and it was expensive. It's true the restaurant was crowed because it was a special occasion, but the service was awful. We will not go there again for Valentines Day.
Wonderful food and ambiance. Service was minimal and needed reminders to get things like drinks, dessert, and the check.
The spanokopita and lamb were delicious as was the Greek wine.
Our favorite restaurant in the DC region. Excellent food, service and value.
Good time , food and beautiful decorations ... services I’m good times
Dining was a late lunch on Feb 14, to avoid the fixed price dinner menu. We enjoyed the selections we ordered, although $30 for three lamb chops is over-priced. Ambiance was impacted as the wait staff were rearranging tables for the dinner service. As we have found on prior occasions, the wait staff acts as if they are doing you a favor in taking your order and serving the food. Although we were given and ordered from the lunch menu, the waiter attempted to charge us dinner menu prices. It took two returns for him to completely correct the bill.
Fantastic Greek restaurant. Jason, our friendly server, is always great.
