It’s always great. The staff , without fail, make you feel very welcome. Greetings both coming and going make a person feel very good about being there. It’s a big part of why I enjoy coming to both Myers and Chang and all the Flour outlets, and what keeps me coming back. The food always delivers— consistent, flavorful, and interesting, which is what you want when you go to a place frequently.
I decided to take my son here before a recent Boston Celtics game. I had heard about the Cheap Date Night special offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings. We sampled four different small plates with white rice for only $45. We loved the bok choy, udon noodles with steak and shrimp, fish tacos and octopus with grilled corn. The flavors were extraordinary; portions were ample and service was great! What a great deal!
The girls loved the pork belly buns, the spring rolls, yummy dan dan noodles. My favorite was the Ban mi with egg and bacon: a great combo of flavors. Chocolste mousse for dessert was a winner!
Food is not that tasty (for Asian tongues).
In particular: the congees are WAY TOO salty (even for an Asian)...it's like they are dumping a bottle of soy sauce into the small portion of congee....
the dumpling are too dry, not tasty at all. Fried dumpling is like one of my staple food...so they mess them up...trust me.
Myers and Chang never, ever disappoints us. The food was spectacular, as was the service. How spoiled we are to have this treasure right here in Boston---I love it!!!
We were seated immediately and within minutes our server appeared with our own carafe of water and an explanation of ordering and delivery of plates. Our food arrived as it was ready so everything was fresh and hot. Our choices were sweet potato chips with kimchi dip, fresh spring rolls, hot and sour soup, Thai chicken salad with vermicelli, green tea marinated ribs then choc mousse and lemon ginger mousse. It was a delicious meal and we can’t wait to go back!
We had an amazing meal and our server was very nice. Just be prepared to wait a while for food - we were there a little over an hour before we got ours. I would absolutely go back, it was with the wait.
Myers and Chang made our anniversary so special! They even gave us menus that read “Happy Anniversary” on them!! Always love coming here, but they really went the extra mile for this special occasion. Thank you so much!!
Great food as always, friendly service and the best option in town for entertaining vegetarian friends.
Everyone is so friendly and dim sum brunch is the best!!
I’d dine here again just for the chicken and waffles. EXCELLENT! My wife loved the tea smoked ribs. She hated fish tacos at other restaurants but loved them here. The food was exceptional and the service was friendly and timely. The place is tight and very noisy so if you expect to converse have young ears or just eat. I’d go again just to eat. Worth the time and the money. Delicious!!
Very pleasant service but had to be reminded twice that my wings hadn’t shown up - kindly they offered to remove from bill because they were very late to table
When the bill showed up - charge was still on bill
Not very gluten free sensitive
Excellent food! Upbeat atmosphere. Excellent service.
The food was delicious. But it was very slow in coming; nothing appeared until about 45' after we ordered. I know it was busy, but it's always busy. A waitperson promised us the rice we had ordered to keep off the hunger while we waited for our food, but it only came after the food. Just a drag. They don't serve bread or something while we, hungry after a long day at work, wait for our food, so some part of our order should come sooner. They say that the food appears as it is made, but our dishes all arrived together - along with the rice - and those three dishes did not take the same amount of time to prepare.
We enjoyed our dinner at Myers and Chang. The food was prepared with creativity, and the unique menu options were surprising and delicious. The staff and service were outstanding. The seating is a bit crowded, but comfortable and not too noisy. Dan dan noodles and scallion pancakes were favorites. We were able to park on the street without difficulty. A bit pricey, but you are paying for fresh ingredients, great service and convenient location.
It's tough to get a table here, but worth the wait. The food is creative, and everything is delicious.
Super friendly smart welcoming delicious place.
My second visit to this great little gem of a restaurant. We are plant-based eaters and they have a vegetarian menu that can be modified for vegans. Joanna Chang stopped by our table and I was a little star-struck!
Myers and Chang is our go-to restaurant when we come to Boston. Great food, friendly, knowledgeable serve staff, lively ambience, and well priced wine. The food is the star though. Creative takes on Asian recipes. With wonderful flavors. Dishes designed to be shared.
Excellent, as usual. The lobster was out of control.
MYERS & CHANG IS ONE OF OUR VERY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS IN BOSTON! IT'S ALWAYS FUN, AMAZING FOOD THAT IS CONSISTENTLY GREAT, THE SERVICE IS SPOT ON AND SUPER FRIENDLY, THE BLOOD LUST COCKTAIL IS THE BEST AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN!!
Business meeting - excellent service - food was delicious - good server service - no waiting for check- would definitely go again and recommend it to all
Our reservation was supposed for a high top, we were seated at a table for 2, there were 3 of us, The table was the worst table, cold ( near the door and window). so, a bit disappointed but, I was with great company so no big deal.
After getting over ourselves, we had an amazing meal.
We are vegans and there are so many options. The edamame dumplings were to die for, I could eat them every day.
It was my sons birthday and the menu had his name on it. Nice touch and did not even ask.
The staff also brought a vegan desert with a candle.
Our server, Didi, was fabulous.
Two of four orders were tasty. Brusselsprouts were equivalent to syrup. Chicken and waffles were so dry it was hard to eat
Looking for a special place to have farewell brunch with some friends, this place was perfect.
The restaurant itself is very unique, the food was delicious and the variety of Dim Sum dishes was just right. I highly recommend for a Sunday Brunch.
The food was delicious and the service was great. They were late in honoring our reservation, but was very nice to us by bring us a complimentary spring roll with a delicious spicy sauce.
Our first visit on a Sat., we could only get a 3 o’clock reservation. My daughter and I ordered from the brunch dim sum menu. We ordered several different items which were o.k. . Nothing knocked my socks off. My daughters quinoa bowl with pork and pineapple was tasty. My glass of Ialtian sparkling was delicious. Total bill for the two of us with tip was 103.00. Pricey.
Wonderful meal - loved the udon noodles. Thanks
Our second visit to Meyers and Chang was as wonderful as the first. Upon arrival the hostess, servers, Joanne Chang and Chef Karen Akunowicz greeted us as we were led to our table. We started with the lemon shrimp dumplings, untraditional scallion pancakes that were scrumptious. The four of us then ordered Korean Sloppy Jo, smoked mushroom lo mein and surf and turf black pepper noodles. All were unique and delicious. I would like to add that the Pineapple Express cocktail was refreshing and paired well with spicy food. As we were finishing our meal Joanne Chang visited our table, a very gracious chef owner. On the way out the staff again wished us well. It’s no wonder they are a James Beard semifinalist again.
Can'r wait to go back. Very, Very satisfying! I highly recommend Mama Chang's dumplings!
Wonderful food and great ambiance! Made reservations for a birthday dinner, and when we arrived, they had custom menus for us saying "happy 25th birthday!" That alone made me want to come back, but then the food - delicious! Great price for the quality, as well as quantity, of food you receive. Wonderful service and extensive menu. Drinks, both cocktails and beer, were excellent and average price for the area. Would come back in a second and recommend to everyone!
Can this place get any better?? Every time I dine here, it somehow always gets better.. fav place to dine, by far!
Food was very good. Would like more seafood and vegetarian choices. Very limited.
We love M&C. We eat there once a week. Always great. Had two great new servers (new to us) and they were fantastic. Thanks Surey and Gabby (sorry if I misspelled your names) for making try something new. Love your parents (Don and Michelle)! Ha ha!
Got the tango lessons cheap date night special. It was very carb loaded. Got it before and it was more veggies and thought it was better last time. I would probably just spend the 45 dollars to mix and match veggie plates.
Everything at Myers and Chang was very good. We loved the hot + sour soup, duck kebabs, bock choy, and pork bao buns. We also got the untraditional scallion pancakes and the Indonesian fried rice and although they weren’t bad we would skip them in the future. I recommend making a reservation, the restaurant was packed. Great service. We will definitely be back and are excited to try the rest of their menu.
I've eaten here several times and the food is always different and always fabulous. We were three adults and 2 children. Three (children and one adult) are vegetarian. There were ample choices, lots of diversity and complexity in the food and friendly, efficient service.
After 10 years in Boston, my best friend declared this her favorite brunch she's had in the area.
Went to m&c for Chinese New Year get together. The seating was fine. We arrived at our reservation time and were seated quickly. The server was very friendly. Enjoyed the different menus- allergy, vegetarian, and regular menu. As our group was a mix of these different preferences. The food however was not very good. That maybe because our group consisted of people who are very familiar with Asian food. And what we ate was not very authentic for either Indonesian or Chinese. We did enjoy the pork and chive dumplings, scallion pancake, and mussels. Myers and Chang would be a good choice for people not very familiar with Asian food and who want to eat a variety of different foods
I understand that some people prefer that "energetic" level of noise, but I would be prefer a slightly less noisy environment.
