The service, food and ambiance at MY China was fantastic. The menu was varied and excellent for sharing with a group of friends. There were 6 of us and we shared dim sum, and several noodle dishes (wild boar noodles were the favorite!), and main dishes. Yum. Then the bill for 6 very full and satisfied diners was just $20 a piece. Incredible San Francisco value for a fantastic lunch. The waiter was very charming and helpful in helping us make selevtions. We'll be going back soon!

Thanksgiving weekend, family in from East Coast. Fun day in SF with great lunch at MY China!! Cocktails were spectacular and food artfully crafted and delicious. Garlic crab, succulent and tender. Dumplings, ribs and noodles all spectacular!

Enjoyed the meal very much - had spicy seafood dumplings in green dough wrap with a mild slightly sweet spicy sauce, so tasty we poured it over the rice. The hot and sour soup made our noses run😁And the Kobe beef medallions were succulent hot wok seared chunks of tender beef, medium rare on the inside, came with green and red bell peppers and onions. For dessert the giant sugar egg puffs (5 to an order) is a go-to, came with chocolate, vanilla cream and raspberry dipping sauces.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Martin Yan was on site the night we went. It is Dungeness crab season- definitely try one of the 6 special crab preparations he developed; wonderful!!! Noodle dishes are great as is barbecue pork. Lots of great choices to try. Fair wine list.
Located in the Westfield SF Mall 'under the dome'. Can be very noisy as it seems to be always busy, but worth it. Good for groups.
Would return and recommend (part

As always, the service has not improved. It's a shame because I want to really like this restaurant, but I just can't. For me, what ruins the experience is the service and it is the same every time we come here, and we have come here a lot. The main waiter/waitress are usually good enough, although they are often not around when you want to order more cocktails or to bring the check. The people who bring out the food are the least trained and have no common sense. They are usually standing there waiting for you to make room on the table so they can place the food. This has happen every time. For the love of God, bring an additional server for this job, don't expect your customers to do this! The other issue is the dishes are not paced out, everything just comes out at once and then they are standing waiting for you to find the room to set down the dishes. I like restaurants where the service is seamless and our servers to be almost invisible, meaning they are there when we need something, but you don't notice them when they remove dishes or silverware or refill your water. That is the art of good service. By the time I'm done eating at M.Y. China, I'm usually quit on edge, and just want to get the hell out there! The food is overall above average, but many of the dishes just have same spices.

This visit was to celebrate my 60th birthday. This is one of our favorite places to enjoy an amazing meal, and they never, ever disappoint. Thank you to all of the staff and especially one of the awesome managers, Daniel. I hope I got the name right. I proposed to my new wife (10/14/16) at this location. Thanks again for the memories.

Looking for somewhere to try some authentic Chinese food whilst in San Francisco and we stumbled upon this place online. Despite being in a shopping centre, don't let that put you off! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the ambience was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our time spent here and would recommend anyone going to San Francisco to stop by.

Our Drinks at the bar were great as was our service both at the bar and in the dining room- the food however was disastrous! Our two entree's were more than a little disappointing! Chairman mao's chicken was like an adult version of chicken nuggets - wasn't even tossed with the seasoning or the vegetables (it was just dumped on top ) ! The Peking duck came out looking beautiful but was cold( hmmmm wonder how that happened ) so we sent it back - nothing like
Microwaved Peking Duck to "warm it up"! Do you think a manager came to our table to apologize- no/ of course not!! We don't want or need anything free- we just want it done right- isn't that what we pay for? Bty- this was on a Sunday night at 5:30pm - I'll tell you- they weren't busy by anyone's standards!! No reason not to get this right!!

Pea shoots is the greens of choice at M.Y. China. Our server could have been more attentive to our order and not recommend a dish of pea shoots with garlic when my 2 dishes already came with pea shoots. We ordered the Abalone perched on top a pile of pea shoots and the Big Knife Noodles with Seafood that also has pea shoots in it. We ended up with pea shoots in all our dishes. Other than the pea shoots overload, the meal was fine.

Honestly, it seems like they've changed the food to appeal to tourists. Everything seemed sweetened. The Dan Dan noodles stood the test, but lettuce cups, beef and green beans seemed shadows of themselves. We've taken family and friends there for years but will switch to Mr. Jiu's for future "just one Chinese meal on this trip" dinners.

I've never had a worse experience at a place so highly ranked on Open table. It took 35 minutes to get the appetizer that was supposed to take "10 to 15." I never got the soup I ordered until I reminded them twice. My wife's entree arrived ten minutes before mine. They couldn't or wouldn't do anything about an extremely disruptive group of two couples sitting nearby. This place is great if you like sitting in the hallway of a shopping mall and if the food at PF Changs is a little too authentic for you. Otherwise stay as far away as you can. A truly awful experience.

Pre theater experience - tried to meet with friends coming from all points in the Bay Area - some came on BART, others drove, some never made it because of SFO delay ..... tried to be respectful of the restaurants aim to seat guests in a timely manner and to offer a great dining experience. We were asked to wait until "most" of the group arrived (I would say 6 of 8 is most) It took a bit longer than expected to order but worth the wait - food was great; satisfied the vegetarians, the omnivores, the picky eaters - a wonderful meal with great beverages - and sensational dumplings at the start of the meal and those yummy donuts at the end! Didn't want to leave at 7:45 but there were seats waiting for us at the theater! A must return!

We had eaten there twice before, so we felt comfortable scheduling a business dinner there. Once again, the cuisine met and exceeded expectations. Unlike our last two visits, they were featuring Dungeness crab fixed six different ways. We went for the garlic, and it was amazing. All the other entres were great, especially the wild boar noodles. And then there is our go to side, the green beans like no other. Most outstanding, though, was the service. Our server was exquisitely attentive without being the least bit intrusive. She was always there when we needed her, offering new plates at just the right time. I would go back just for her, even if the food wasn't as wonderful as it most certainly is. M.Y. China never disappoints.

The menu was original and food was cooked to order. We asked our server for recommendations and we were not disappointed. The food and drinks were all good. We made a reservation on line so we did not have to wait, which was a bonus. I loved the fresh grilled vegetables; they complimented the main dishes so well.

This was my 9th visit to M.YChina for dinner with friends and again was impressed with the food and service! This time two of us shared the Market Priced Dungness Crab with garlic over noodles! 2lbs. Of cracked crab cooked to perfection! Had a Vegan friend with us who was able to have many choices to choose from, the roasted cauliflower was beautiful and tasty! Cocktails are alway creative and fun! I'm sooooo impressed with the service, always crowded but staff is always attentive! Can't ask for better combo, good food & good service!

I expected more from M.Y. China....there are hundreds of good Chinese restaurants in SF, many offering exceptional meals at reasonable prices. Unfortunately our meals were not up to the standards Martin set for himself and the cuisine for which he is justly famous. We started with salt and pepper squid, nicely spiced but over cooked. The scissor cut noodles with wild boar were cooked nicely but contained very little wild boar, the honey glazed walnut shrimp were again over cooked and under sauced. The only dish we truly enjoyed was the Sichuan green beans, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Since we have so many alternative choices here in SF we will not be returning to M.Y. China.

Came here for my daughter's birthday, on a special weekend in SF. Food was excellent, nice upscale and inventive twists on standard Chinese menu fare. Good portion sizes. The waitstaff was a little distracted with a full restaurant, but the food came quickly. Open kitchen was awesome but no one was making noodles, which was why we went. My daughter was disappointed we didn't get to see that.

Six of us tried to share dishes, but the dishes are pretty small. The server got one of our entrees wrong, even though he repeated it to us correctly. Another server brought us a wrong appetizer. When we pointed it out, she took it back to check, and then we never saw her again.
We were sitting out in the mall area, so the ambiance was "shopping mall".
The food we got tasted good.

Somewhere in the previous reviews should have mentioned that this restaurant was in the mall. I booked this through Open Table expecting somewhat authentic Chinese food and was incredibly disappointed. My fault for not researching better. That aside, the food was horrible. I've enjoyed better meals at the Panda Express. No flavor, dry meat, uninspired menu.

This was the closest Chinese restaurant near our hotel, so we disregarded the mall location and booked a table. It didn't dawn on us that M.Y. stood for Martin Yan until he appeared to great the diners.
