About

Behind familiar doors in the Casa Sanchez building on Alvarado Street in Monterey, a dark, shallow entrance leads guests back in time to an adobe-white room with dark accents and soft lighting. The character of the room comes from a hand-milled oak bar, stained dark, and the black-and-white portrait of Horace Coniglio presiding over the place.

My Attic is an anachronism in a modern era, boasting a bar in the front plus a lounge in the back, presented in warm olive tones offset by dark walnut woods. The vibe is, inviting, relaxing and fun, punctuated by light, relaxing house music and a menu of fresh, light local fare.

This should not be on open tables. It is not a restaurant. It is a bar

Our reservation was lost, Valerie took care of us with some discounted drinks which was appreciated but it was still a little frustrating to not have a table.

A great bar with a great atmosphere. Wonderful cocktails and a nice long happy hour.
Ambiance is nice. The comfortable couches can feel very secluded.

I almost hesitate to share my true feelings because while I hope it will be good for the business, it will let the cat out of the bag to everyone around that this place is pretty darn cool!
Great happy hour *every day*, I'm told one of the best Manhattans around the area, and a super fun ambience....like you stepped back into prohibition days.
They don't have a full menu - just appetizers, some of which are small (caprese salad), some of which are large (caprese pizza, house made marinated olives - they're mostly greens, FYI, in case you like black or kalamata only, like me).
We had a group event we had to put together last minute and they were great! Crystal, very helpful on the front end, and Alex was a great server for the whole crew!

Eh. Cold. Loud. Inexperienced service. Watered down drinks. Store bought salami. Enough said.
