Musso & Frank Grill
Unreal! Do it!
The best service in town! I was so happy we came here after being treated so well. The food was amazing and the experience was unforgettable.
I took my husband fo his 57th Birthday last night. Everything was amazing!! We had a wonderful time. Thank you!! My husband is still raving about it!!
Good service, great food, amazing.
The food and service were fantastic! I have the ribeye steak, and my boyfriend had the salmon. Both dishes were fantastic! The bread is amazing! We also ordered a wedge salad, oysters on the half shell, and cheesy au gratin potatoes. The oysters could have been shot a little bit better, but fresh all the same. We enjoyed all the food that we had here! The noise was a little bit too much for us. Very loud! You couldn't even hear each other at the table together. We will definitely try this restaurant again, maybe on a non holiday weekend. Service is on point!
It's Musso & Frank. How could you not recommend it? There's a reason it's been around for more than a century. The service is always impeccable, and the food is always memorable. Unfortunately, people think of it as a super-expensive place, and it's really not. It's really moderately priced. An aside: When they tell you you're sitting at the Frank Sinatra table, you have no reason to doubt it. It's been a to-go place for people in the film industry since the 1920s.
Our food server was excellent! At our request, he provided a history of the restaurant as well as celebrity and filming information. A total professional! Great food in an amazing location with original fixtures.
This was my second visit to the restaurant. It was quite a disappointment when compared to the previous visit. The first visit was quite enjoyable with good food, great service, and a nice table with excellent ambiance. The second visit consisted of a very cramped booth in a very high employee traffic corridor, food that ranged from good (the calves liver) to the really bad ( broccolini that tasted as if it had been cooked in old, burnt oil) and inedible. The escargot was good, but the mixed green salad was just that—only doing mix with nothing else in it—pretty bland. It helped us to decide not to have dessert there. Service was nondescript. It left me with impression that it just depends on the night and the server—in other words, very inconsistent. This would be my caveat to anyone who asks me my opinion.
Wonderful old school steak house. Classic Martini’s are a must.
Always top-notch. It starts with car valet, then peter and continues up until you get your keys back from the valet
Classy and classic old school vibe
Okay, here’s the Bad and the Good. First the bad. Service staff was slow, not just a little slow, but very slow. When they did come by, it was both dysfunctional and unprofessional. Sad! The Food was as expected, both tasty and delicious. We had the Beef tartare, Musso and Frank salad to start. Entree’s were the Special Chicken Pot Pie and the Liver and Onions. The sourdough bread 🥖 was wonderful. We tipped the service staff appropriately. We recommend and will return again.
Best place in LA. Always perfect.
A class act all around. Some things never change...once upon a time in hollywood is right!
Love everything about this place. Excellent service, food, and bustling old school energy.
Really enjoyed our evening at Musso & Frank’s Grill. The ambiance and even the menu were a nostalgic reminder of times past. My Caesar salad and prime rib were outstanding. The cheesecake was still a bit frozen so ask them to pull it out ahead of time if you’re planning on dessert! The service was fantastic and I would definitely ask for Boris again when we return. The noise label is a bit high but it adds to the vibe and the tables are cozy enough that you won’t miss the conversation.
This was our first visit and we truly enjoyed it. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. Sonny at the bar was fabulous and Joshua was great as our waiter. Joshua noticed I wasn't enjoying my over cooked sword fish. Took it away and brought me a delicious trout.
We love Musso and Franks. The ambiance, food and service is amazing and the staff is the most polite, professional and friendly with class you rarely see anymore. We were a little disappointed in our valet however as they required us to find our receipt for our meal to prove we were patrons. We ewere never told on previous occassions that we needed to have validation.
A Hollywood classic.. still truly special. Service, atmosphere.. and the food.
Was great place for supper after Oscars. My friends LOVED their liver and onions and ribeye. I unfortunately order the oysters which were way too watery and icy. And then i ordered the steak tartare--again not a winner!! I should have done the liver or the sand dabs. But I was excited to turn my friends on to this iconic place. I will need to order better next time.
it's the experience! the history! the old Hollywood captured in the middle of a decadent Hollywood Blvd. Musso & Frank is only reason I go to Hollywood, when in LA. I love sharing it with friends. Thank you.
With a bit of hesitation
It was an odd night
We were there during the oscar ceremonies
so we had to park a few blocks away and walk
over as the street in front was closed.
There was on drunk woman at the bar
who was yelling super loud who had to
get kicked out, deservedly.
The food did not seem up to the standard we
were used to and two of the three in our party
felt quite ill to their stomachs afterwards.
We mostly have good experiences perhaps
this was just an off night.
A Hollywood classic that hasn’t lost its focus in 100 years. Still great food, great service, and a style and feel that never gets old. Love the place.
Great Maitre'd was able to seat us early at an excellent table mid-restaurant...great view of the entire room!
Food was excellent and valet parking was easy.
Food quality demands a 50% discount on what is charged, but atmosphere helps make up for it.
Pre Oscars dinner... in the last of the old time Hollywood Restaurants...
It's a great place to go when visiting LA. Nice atmosphere, good prices and great service. The food was very good and easy cheap valet parking in the rear.
Pre Oscars dinner was amazing 😊 the entire staff were great and very professional. Bread, pasta and sword fish dinners were 5 stars. Whiskey and House White wine were delicious. Thank you team.
Bar seating was crowded as there were people eating there:( but after some time found 2 barstools. Friendly, fun bartenders. Sat at a great booth. We came earlier in the day so we watched the restaurant fill up during out meal. Great service and food. A treasure of Hollywood for sure. Thank you!
Very old fashioned and traditional inside, food was mouth watering and the service was great, definitely worth going to
Musso & Frank Grill is a classic that has been producing excellent meals extremely consistently for as many years as I have eaten there (I confess that's more than fifty years!). The barmen are also extremely skilled at producing drinks and pour generously. The Friday special, bouillabaisse marseillaise, with its saffron accents, remains the best presentation of the dish I have tried in either the States or France.
Classic steakhouse- great ambiance - amazing service - and these people really know how to cook a steak! We will be back for sure.
Do you want that old "Hollywood" experience without feeling like you're in a theme park? Do you want want great service, a classic (but updated menu) and an excuse to dress up even though you don't need to? Look no further. What a great place for dinner.
Really, you can't go wrong at Musso & Frank. I've been there dozens of times, and never been disappointed. There's a reason it's been around for a century. A wonderful place.
Fun, nostalgic & great food
Great experience. Food and drinks were exceptional! Look forward to our next visit.
Wonderful place for the history of what has happened here. Ambience from that perspective very good, but very noisy, so actual conversation limited. Food made up for it though, everything was delicious, so simple but such complex flavours. Waiter very helpful with what to match with what.
Wonderful food & service in a beautiful Hollywood setting. Always remember Thursday night is Chicken Pot Pie Night!
The filet mignon here is superb. But for $44 you get the steak on a plate. That's it. A salad is another $12-$15, drinks are expensive, other side dishes are expensive. Yes, this is a very historic restaurant with great food, but be prepared for the bill!
