Awesome, very wonderful evening. Donnie was an awesome host, waiter, bar tender, sommelier. Dinner was very good, sea bass was wonderful and tagliatelle was equally good. Everything tasted fresh. Dessert was very good as well. Their take on tiramisu is very yummy. Will definitely be back.
Service was awful. In a large restaurant there appeared to be only two servers and only two In Kitchen. From time order was taken, cocktail timely delivered. Then 45 minutes for appetizers and another 45 minutes for dinner. I would not recommend anyone go there. Much better choices around.
Everyone and everything was fantastic. Food and service was exceptional.
Patio is very small and the noise level very high. Food was correct but not outstanding.
Great/charming service. Johnny knew his drinks, the food was truly wonderful. Gorgeous ambience. Warm and inviting.
A beautiful experience with an attentive host! I would definitely go back next time in Charleston.
A Diamond in the crown of food options in Charleston, especially if you want fresh, authentic pasta. My husband had the ricotta gnocchi and I had bolognese with freshly made ribbon pasta. Unique drinks (The Repo Old Fashioned) and exceptional hospitality by Donnie and his staff made the evening a wonderful 30th anniversary celebration. We will return to Muse next time we're in Charleston & share with everyone we know as a "must eat"!
Took a chance after reading the reviews and so glad we did! Interior was beautiful but it was raining and Covid so we requested outside seating. The service was spot on, the food was fabulous and the owners were friendly and accomodating. My husband had the pork chop and I had the veal parmesan and we split an arugula salad. All were delicious but next time I am ordering the pork chop - it was presented beautifully and I never tasted a better one. Reservations are necessary but you won't be sorry you had dinner there. We will go again next time in Charleston.
Space is very tired . Needs a coat of paint and and new furniture Food was just ok. My carbonara was actually a very gloppy Alfredo.
Visited 6/27/20 we had the Calamari which had a good flavor I have just decided that it's me and I'm not myself a huge fan of it. We also had the Tuna Tartare as well as the humas platter, both were simply amazing. I highly recommend the Tuna Tartare! For our main course we had the Grouper and Red Snapper (Red Snapper was substituted for Sea Bass due to unavailability at the time) both were incredibly delicious. Honestly I do not feel you could have gotten any better service! Our waiter was exceptional he knew the menu inside and out and was also very knowledgeable on the alcohol beverages. I highly recommend eating here!
Donnie was awesome! Really likes the staff and great menu options. A quaint place to enjoy a nice glass of wine and a mediterranean-style meal
Excellent service, very accommodating, following COVID-19 recommendations
Service and food was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Despite the fact the Muse employees were working on one of restaurants busiest nights with a skeleton crew while at the same time complying with Covid restrictions, they still somehow found a way to make it happen. The staff was amazing and our meals were perfect. Thank you.
If you’re looking for memorable... this is it. Best restaurant experience in Charleston. The food was excellent but the service was on another level. Donnie is a mensch.
Exceptional evening at Muse! This was the best dinner we’ve ever had in Charleston. The scallops and veal parmigiana were delicious (had to refrain from licking the plates) and the flourless chocolate cake and triffle were the perfect end to the meal. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Great place! Wonderful food!!!
This is the perfect hidden gem in Charleston. The food made me feel like I was in Italy! So good. Donnie was so accommodating and helpful. Will be going back on a regular basis.
Delicious food and good ambiance. I enjoyed the meal and the experience.
In Charleston twice a year, and love trying different restaurants. Absolutely loved this place. Donnie, the owner, his wonderful staff Hunter and Caroline, made the experience top notch. Highly recommend the fresh tuna appetizer, and the best fresh pasta with bolognese!
My fiancé and I had our 3rd anniversary here and it was amazing! Donnie was our server and he actually offered to pick our entire meal including our bottle of wine! It was a great experience. They put us on a private upstairs balcony and it was beautiful! We also had Hunter and Caroline as our servers and they were equally as great! Can’t wait to come back a again! Thanks guys!
Nice, small restaurant, great food. We are outside and enjoyed the patio experience.
Nice time. Enjoyed it.
We were in town for the weekend and decided to try Muse. Sam, our waiter, was exceptional. Knew the menu and wine list and was able to steer us in the right direction. He was super friendly and the service was wonderful. We even met Donny, the bartender, who couldn’t have been nicer. The staff here goes over the top for their patrons.
The food was good for the price. If you’re not into loud-ish restaurants, this could be your one hold out for booking here. Being from NYC, I’m used to tightly packed restaurants with a higher level of noise, so we didn’t find it troublesome at all.
Located in an old townhouse, the restaurant has great character and charm. Perfect place for a nice dinner or date night out.
Sam is the consummate waiter! And we will definitely come back and sit in his section again.
I went to Muse to celebrate my 23rd birthday! I very nervous about how they would be able to accommodate us, given the current COVID situation, however, I was extremely impressed. We were seated upstairs in a room with only one other party. We did not feel crowded at all, in fact, it was very spacious. The staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The restaurant happily worked with my parents over the phone to help surprise my friends and I with appetizers, which were ready at the table upon arrival. Overall, I have a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend to any of my friends in the future. We will be returning soon!
Fantastic food, wine and service
They are working through COVID issues and taking them seriously. Food was dynamite. We requested outside but only inside available. Need to work on kinks to make sure you can book the tables at a pace that works for reservations. Waitress seemed frustrated to be there. I am in the service industry and have to adjust daily. We had try to adjust to a different reservation but didn’t let it spoil our night. The staff has to adjust to the current norm with hospitality. I hate wearing a mask but I make sure my customers never know. Worth the trip, again the food was fantastic. Safe eating place. Still left a 25% grat because they were doing their jobs in a tough time. Remember we are all having to adjust. Be kind and smile, even if behind the mask.
Great location in historic CHS downtown. Excellent food and friendly service and hosts.
Excellent service and fantastic food - very accommodating even with last min reservations.
Donnie is the consummate host. We always have a memorable dining experience at his restaurant. The food and service has made it our favorite local place.
We had a fabulous, delicious dinner! We loved Donnie, he was very knowledgeable about the wine and had a great personality!
We ate on the night of a riot. The staff was great they all stepped into action to help calm the diners
We decided to eat here while in Charleston celebrating our anniversary, based on the delicious looking menu and good reviews. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The sausage we got as a starter, while packing a lot of flavor, was fairly dried out. My pasta and hubby’s risotto were both overcooked. Our server wasn’t very informative and seemed rushed the whole time, despite providing pretty slow service. Hubby requested another glass of wine when our entrees were delivered and didn’t get it until he was finished eating. The only thing we really loved about this restaurant was the ambiance. We were seated on our own private balcony, which was a lovely touch, given the occasion.
Great food and service. Donny is the best. Great for couples.
Great food and service.
After weeks of lockdown, we chose Muse as our first fine dining experience. I am so glad we did. The whole experience was excellent. I highly recommend the arugula salad! My wife had the black cod over black rice and it was amazing. I had the veal parmigiana with spaghettini and marinara. Delicious! We paired that with a bottle of white Bordeaux!
We will be back soon! - D. Carr
The service and food were outstanding!
Wow, what a cute, unique place with quality service and food! We are so glad we found this place to celebrate our anniversary for our first trip to SC. The owner greeted us and had casual chats with us while we were there and the menu had wonderful options that were still approachable (not too foo-foo!!!).
The location is quaint and right off of King street so you can go there early and explore the neighborhood shopping and such.
