Best food I’ve had...ever! Very expensive, but great for a special occasion. The view is peaceful. The service was great (our waitress was Armelle). I would definitly go back.
It is always a wonderful experience coming to the Muse. The only concern we have is that for the second time in a row, your staff didn’t know the basic flavour profiles of the wines. That’s not their fault, but management should be giving them the opportunity to taste and learn about the wines on the menu, especially if guests are to be buying wines off the premium menu with which they are not familiar.
Can’t say we were impressed given the somewhat over-inflated price for a good but not amazing table d’hôte. Well over $200 should garner better than good. Typical for Outaouais region and people that get impressed with average fare. Location very nice but that’s about it. Not the poor young waiter’s fault, but basics trumped him. Not even knowing what « Reserva » means for a wine. Bad French (despite being a francophone). Teeny tiny portions. Oh well ... we’ll stick to smaller places.
Had to ask to have the loud music turned down, twice. The service was very slow had to ask several times for another glass of wine etc. Having an extra charge on items when we were ordering the " table d' hote ", it should have been brought to our attention by the server, and that goes against the meaning of " table d's hote "!
Very professional service, nice arrangement. Dinner was extremely satisfying. The overall experience is first class
We were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I had made note of it when I made the reservation, and the restaurant and hotel did nothing special for us and did not acknowledge it. Another table beside us were celebrating their 1st anniversary and we given 2 glasses of champagne etc.
One of the most delicious dining experiences we have had.
Very pleased with the experience overall, the reason I did take off 1 star was because in the package I booked it mentioned that the gratuity of 15% was included, however I did not know this, and the server failed to tell me this. I ended up tipping a lot of money if that was the case. Lastly, we had a table of about 12 behind us with half kids. Not the restaurants fault, but they were running around us all night which was relatively annoying. Food was excellent!
It's costly but we did enjoy the meal. The view was nice, as a tea drinker I find that it took along time to get a second tea, perhaps have large tea pots like the coffee drinkers get. Enjoyed the food it was great
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and an amazing view!! I really enjoy the menu. Everytime I go there is something different.
Quite good we chose to have our table d’hôte with wine pairing and made us discover new wines
However the only offer table d’hôte which may be much when someone has a smaller appetite
Nice feeling restaurant. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with a nice bit of formal setting. Menu is short but varied and our selection quail was a bit dry. Fish was ok but not spectacular. Steak tartare was yummy and deserts were great. The young hostess /captain was very good and looked after us all evening. Pinot from Argentina was lovely. No rush - 3 hours. Happy!
The food and the service that we received at Muse Restaurant was outstanding. We both commented that the steak was one of the best we had ever had. Our service was excellent. We never experienced any excessive wait times for anything we asked for. The view from the sun room was stunning.
Overall, we were very disappointed. We were not made aware that 'A la carte' menu was not available and we could only order the 'Table d'hote'. We ordered and shared a meal which we were forced to separate at our table. Better restaurants/kitchens will do this for you and serve 2 plates. When we ordered a 'tall' gin & tonic, with a bit more tonic, they charged us $8 extra, which was double the price! Service was not very good and not accommodating at all. Sadly, we will not be returning to Muse.
I do not have enough words to express how much my husband and I enjoyed our two dinners at the Muse. From the initial table set up to the service delivery to the perfect timing of dinner service to the overall staff service and attention given to us this was one incredible experience. We cannot say enough complimentary things about our meal and the service we received. The staff are attentive to your every need and not once did I have to ask for anything including a refill of water. On both evenings we enjoyed a Table d’hôte meal and all the selections were excellent. The seating and placing of tables ensure a very romantic atmosphere for those that so desire one. 5 stars all around for this restaurant , food and staff. Well done !
Great brunch location with a really nice varied selection. Was very pleased by all the choices - from an omelette and crepe station to a variety of salads , cheese, and great breakfast selection of eggs and bacon. Can’t go wrong with this place !
Although our second time dinging at the Muse wasn't as outstanding as our first, I would still recommend to family and friends. The Food was superb, absolutely delicious and worth the price. I would say the only thing over-priced was the wine pairing with the food. Service was a bit slow as well.
The only negative point would be that the food was not warm enough.
Food was very disappointing.poorly cooked vegetables, sloppy presentation, tough chicken ...floating in a sauce with runny yam purée.
The food was delicious, however it was slow. We were there a total of 2.5 hours. We were really hungry by the time the main course arrived!
Excellent! La nourriture, wow. Sans oublier le super service par Laurie. La vue des chutes est superbe en mangeant.
Nous avons très apprécié notre soirée, et nous n’avons pas regretté d’avoir réservé dernière minute en ce lundi soir !!!!
I took my girlfriend here for our 16th anniversary. We have 5 kids together! I was so happy because she finally divorced her husband. The meal was fantastic although she kept going to the bathroom and I couldn’t find the waiter until they would both suddenly appear! At the end of the dinner I got down on one knee and proposed to her. The staff were really nice and let me use the microphone to ask for her hand and also took a video for me. When I asked will you marry me? She started crying and hugged me just like I had imagined! Then she pushed me away and said no. She confessed her love for some guy named Francois. The weird thing is that this big black guy, I assume is Francois was sitting at the table behind us, got up took the mike out of my hand and got down on one knee and continued to propose to my girlfriend!! She immediately said yes and they started making out and grinding up and down on each other. The weird thing is I thought I recognized Francois. So I took out my phone and looked at the picture of my kids and I realized then that they were half black and looked exactly like Francois! Anyway the food was good.
Food was delicious and artistic. Ambiance fantastic- love the water. Service was very attentive. Extras a very nice touch.
Great experience. Great food. Awesome location.
Wait staff untrained and inept. Duck tough; monkfish over-salted, over-cooked and tough. Poor and slow service from bar, including a dirty cocktail glass. Very long wait at beginning of meal, without even the offer of a glass of water. Bread also un-offered and not served Wine order was not as listed on wine list. An unacceptable experience at an expensive restaurant.
Nous allions pour notre 48ième anniversaire de mariage. tout le personnel est extraordinaire., la nourriture est excellente.
L'atmosphère est sensationnel.
un très beau séjour chez vous.
Amazing view of the McLaren falls, exquisite food, great service, quiet location!
Photo-worthy location, especially the sluice. Great service and interesting food preparations.
I would certainly recommend eating at The Muse, possibly just with a friend for a Sunday afternoon Drive? I feel the presentation of these meals and the taste of the food is worth anybody treating them self to this dining experience .
As visitors from Europe we were looking for a nice restaurant without the usual dull food like hamburgers and pizza. We were not disappointed at all... We had a fantastic evening, with really good, colourfull and healthy food, several very kind waiters and a breathtaking view on a wild cascade with a blue heron quietly looking for prey. We can recommend this place to everyone. Not too expensive.
We had a very nice evening here. Minor complaints would be: duck was tough and service seemed a little disorganized. Coffee was included in Table D'Hote but I was charged for espresso. It should have been mentioned that this was not included - on a $400 bill it seemed petty to have been charged extra. These are the little things that kept the experience from being fabulous.
We have always enjoyed Sunday brunch at the Mill in the main restaurant. This Mother’s Day we tried out the brunch and were pleasantly surprised at being seated in the glassed area at the bar level. We felt less packed in, the noise was reduced and the staff were fabulously attentive since they had fewer table. Wonderful time!
The view from our table was nothing less than breathtaking. The waterfalls were at full force. It was Sunday brunch. The food was excellent and our server Frederic was attentive and engaging. It was a meal to remember.
I don’t eat out very often have become bit of a home cook. No chef by any means but it’s my passion. I was so blown away by this restaurant. Outside of the incredible atmosphere, the raging waterfall out the window by our table and the rustic comforting feel. The service was impeccable. The food on the other hand was the best meal I have ever eaten. We chose the Muze menu. We were given a free starter before appetizer and from there to the desert was like nothing I have ever experienced. It was a meal I have not stoped thinking about and will never forget. I want to thank the chef for the masterpiece that was delivered to us.
The view was amazing with the spring runoff, and the extra little touches were appreciated
The dining experience at the Muse is definitely a fine dining type. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire time at the restaurant. The service and scene were great! The noise level was perfect for civil conversations. The food was absolutely amazing and tasted fresh. I would definitely recommend this spot for special occasions and for foodies.
Went for Easter brunch. For $50 a person, there was lots of food and a good selection. Very nice sitting in the glass open section, did not like having a table for 2 set up for 3. Too crammed in...
The was excellent and the background with the falls as well :)
The service and menu options were outstanding. The service was not rushed and they made us feel very welcomed and relaxed throughout our meal.
It was pretty loud being beside a large group but the food and service was absolutely wonderful! Great experience!
