Intriguing combinations and variations on cuisine anchor the innovative menu. Tailoring a dining experience to the bold tastes of the customer, visually and gastronomically, is the mission of the chefs and staff of Muse.
It was a very cool and windy day and we were seated right next to open lobby door. I requested a seat further in a nd was told there were none. There were. And 2 more n later another couple was seated.we had to keep our coats on to eat. The food was very good but eating and being cold were not.
We love Muse. We eat there almost every month. We had lunch there on “free” Monday at the art museum. That is because a recent menu change moved the griddle burger to the lunch menu only. Please put it back on the dinner menu. My husband LOVES the burger. I had the deli sampler and it was fabulous. I probably ate too much, but it was so delicious I couldn’t stop.
Pre performance dinner.
My second trip to Muse. The food was great and our server Jen was fantastic
The restaurant was difficult to find! I am glad we left early-due to
The fact that we wanted to have a drink prior to dinner. Apparently, google chose to send us to a downtown restaurant. After many phone calls to the restaurant and googling madly we just made it at 7. However, I miscounted the number in our party, but the manager and other staff were able to accommodate us. The food was fabulous - and the drinks were excellent - our waitress was a class act—however, one of the waitresses was extremely rude to another hostess and appeared to not have time for anyone else (blonde with a ponytail). Hard to find—but oh so worth it!
The Muse was very busy when we arrived
Service was a little slow.
Three out of four had the Ahi Tuna , unfortunately the breaded coating on the outside was so thick it was difficult to taste the tuna.
Air conditioning was too cold. Music too loud.
But wonderful service and very good food.
The service was very slow - we waited an hour from arrival to get our entrees. This was despite notifying the waiter that we had theatre tickets and needed to be finished within one hour and twenty minutes. This has happened before, so we won’t be returning for our pre-theatre meal in connection with our Season tickets at the Asolo.
Good choice to complement a museum visit or theatre night. Interesting and creative new items on menu.
Good food served quickly. Great place to eat before the Asolo.
The menu could use an update and a way to keep potatoes hot. It’s a lovely convenient place but needs a little jolt!
Had Sunday brunch with out/of-town guest leaving from nearby airport. Wanted to be near airport. Food was very good. Nice to sit outside on a beautiful day with view of Ringling gardens. Had very good quinoa tart and salad. Friend had pancakes, which she said were excellent.
Reasonable Prices. Great variety. Wonderful Service. Generous portions.
We and friends from DC love the view and ambiance of the patio. Food is good, service attentive and a good value. Less excited about the brunch menu on Sat, but mimosas were an offset.
As usual the food was delicious. The only area that needs improvement is the waitstaff.
Excellent food and service continue at Muse. Be sure to notify server if trying to make a performance time at Asolo. Wait time for food can be long for good preparation so allow plenty of time for relaxing dining.
This was a delightful surprise after a exploring Ca' D' Zan. The menu offered interesting options that were delicious and just the right size for an afternoon lunch. Our server was absolutely delightful and was attentive to all of our special requests.
My husband and I stopped at The Muse after visiting the Ringling Art Museum. My husband had their ultimate grilled cheese which he really enjoyed especially with its bacon jelly. I had the tuna sandwich which was also good. The sandwich was served in a flat thin bread/roll not sure how to describe it but it was easy to eat and very good. It came with a salad. We enjoyed both meals and no doubt will be back on our next Ringling visit. It’s an unusual menu especially at first but once you take a second look there are good offerings.
Great food, every time!
Great spot to enjoy Sunday brunch (and bottomless mimosas)!
Excellent choice when going to Asolo Theatre and Ringling Museum.
We have visited this restaurant on many occasions and I have previously given a 5 star review. We visited a week before our last visit and we did not feel that it was as good as in the past. Our last visit was even more disappointing. There was no single big thing to complain about just a lot of little things that meant that we did not enjoy our visit. The overall impression was that the staff were dispirited and the overall ambiance suffered as a result. We spoke to the lady in charge who told us that they had a new CEO and that she was appointed at around the same time. Perhaps the problem starts at the top?
Overall good. Appetizers, drinks and kids meal came out on time. 2 salads took over 30 minutes to get to the table.
I really liked the caprese salad on the salt block. Too much food but outstanding.
Great place to go before the theater. Christmas Eve tradition.
We walked up to the maître d' and without so much as a welcome or a smile asked us if we had a reservation. Not very welcoming at all. However, the service was impeccable and the food delicious. Calamari, beet hummus, Caesar salad and mixed greens starters. Tuna special delicious and perfectly cooked. The short ribs nicely prepared, crab cakes and a perfectly cooked burger. A lovely experience and worth the trip. I thought the entrees were limited but there was something for everyone. They do close rather early. Enjoy!
Food is good but more of a selection is needed.
This restaurant is perfect when you are visiting the museum or attending a show at the Asolo theater.
Is very convenient when you are there prior to a show at the theater and or for Art after 5, etc. We were there for Art after 5 and also to see the Ringling House decorated for Christmas.
We had a delicious meal with good service!
it was our anniversary and also our friends' anniversary AND her birthday =
and they were SO pleased. We were treated nicely and everything was SO TASTY!
LOVE that grilled cheeses!
Pre-theater dinner here since it’s in the Asolo/Ringling complex. Room was quite cold, got noisy when full.
Service was just ok, point list for rather perfunctory server.
Split a beet salad, which was excellent (high spot of the dinner) and plenty for two. Both entrees (chicken, salmon) were rather flavorless and dry. Chicken had an overpowering port wine sauce.
We might come again when we have theater and concert tickets, but never would make this a destination restaurant.
Sat outside which is lovely. One of us had an appetizer and a (huge) salad. The other, a burger which she liked. Perfect place for pre theater or if visiting the Ringling.
Exceptional waitress. Great location if attending Asolo Rep. Food was good, but not quite 5 star.
Definitely would go back, if in the area.
Food was wonderful! (unexpectedly) Waitress was very nice / professional. There were 2 hostess/ managers that floated around the dining room like HAWKS! They were absolutely obnoxious! As soon as a glass or plate (of any kind) was empty, they were right there to clear it.
I'm a trained chef (CIA) & spent 20 years in the restaurant business as chef &/or general manager of 2 fine dining establishments. In my experience , the CARDINAL rule to clearing a table is to NEVER clear ANY plate when 1 diner has finished but the other hasn't. I'm sorry, I should have ridiculed the hostess/ mgr before I actually did the busser for clearing my wife's plate while I was still eating. And then, before I was even fished wiping my mouth after finishing my plate, IT WAS GONE!
Food has slipped - not as many interesting choices on menu. New, more casual seating (outdoor chairs?!?) is just weird. We have season tickets for Aslo theatre and usually dine at Muse before. Will be changing this. Convenient location does not make up for boring food and boring ambience.
We ate on the patio in a perfect weather day. Our server, Bob M., was very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive.
great food and great service. so convenient when seeing a performance at the Asolo
My wife and I each ordered the vegetarian burger and were quite disappointed. It was very salty and not as good as the Beyond Meat burgers we eat at home.
The ceased salad and beet salad were excellent and we like the location next to the Asolo Theater so we can park once and walk to the theater.
First time dining here. Invited a friend . We both ate the special. It was one of the best meals ever. The special was tuna crusted w wasabi with an amazing dipping sauce, a seaweed salad, and a unique rice dish. I will be thinking about the dish for a long time. Although the restaurant was busy, we did not feel rushed. I did feel that the staff was not equal to the high standards in the kitchen. Definitely will eat there again.
Thought the menu was pricey for what it was. Salmon at $29 is what I would expect to pay at a fancy restaurant.
This place is not fancy, by a long shot.
Chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Comparable to a park bench, but not as comfortable.
Can't imagine why a restaurant would choose hard seats, unless they had a turnover problem.
Seats desperately need cushions.
